Food quality is good, but I wouldn't say it's very authentic or astonishing and leaves more to be desired considering the pricing. Gorgeous architecture and aesthetic, however.
Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff and maybe even a ghostly encounter. Ask to see the former jail cells in the wine seller.
Every time we are in SoCal we visit El Adobe.... great cuisine, bar, service... Enjoy!
This place is amazing! Quite possibly the best Mexican food I've ever had.
This place has sub par Mexican food at ridiculously high prices! $17 for a small, tasteless (pork), cheap tostada! I'll NEVER eat here again! The service was 'okay'... the food sucked honestly! They didn't even have ground beef or Al Pastor! What the...???
One of my preferred spots to grab some food. fantastic location, neat, and awesome customer service. A must try!
Variety of antiques and prices for all Pockets in addition to very good attention.
I got the three tacos, one pollo and two crane asada. They had so much fat I kept having to pull pieces out of my mouth. I did enjoy the service and the ambiance. I would definitely go back. I think my meal was likely a one-off experience.
Good traditional Mexican food. Fun, old school environment.
This place is incredible. Be sure to make a reservation because it gets crazy busy. The food is authentic and the service is excellent. Tableside guacamole service is impressive.
Jose S was so kind to us and was given the best service!
We arrived for a private gathering for a celebration of life. Close to 100 people attended. Staff was efficient and attentive. Drinks from the bar were delicious as was the food. A great spot for our event.
The best taco Tuesday! Amazing salsas and all the meat is delicious. Big thanks to el Taquero who does an amazing job and is always smiling.
Service was excellent and friendly, but food was subpar.
Excellent food in a beautiful building with lots of history. This is a must-see when in San Juan Capistrano.
El Adobe is the best Mexican restaurant in Orange County. Quality ingredients, great food and great service make this place special
This place is consistently good. There's a reason it's been in San Juan Capistrano for so many years. Great food, great service.
Food was FRESH and tasty. Quick service and attentive staff. Old style Mexican Rancho is a very nice setting.
Went for the first time last night and not expecting to eat there. We went to look at the venue area for a party, but since it was Taco Tuesday figured Why Not. Overall food and service were good. Coming from L.A. county and now living in the O.C. its hard to find good food around here. I was pleasently surprised with the tacos. Only negative is that bythe time we got there theu had ran out of the green salsa(my fave). The atmosphere was nice enough that I would go back.
Way over priced and not very good. With the extensive amount of Mexican good restaurants I was REALLY disappointed in the taste and quality, especially given the really high prices. Will not go back. I expect for a menu at that price, that it would have been a more tantalizing.
Great service, but it took a while to get extra silverware.
I have gone here on and off for years and it is always good. It's not a chain which makes it even better and the atmosphere is great.
Great restaurant. Excellent for big events. Delicious food. Parking is a bit weird.
Wonderful place for a wedding with a nice atmosphere and great service!
Good Mex spot. If you go there, check out the basement vault...
Food and drinks were delicious. They made the guacamole right at the table...fresh! what a treat.
Husband and I stopped to grab lunch, food was mediocre at best same with service. Nothing to complain about but nothing to write home about either.
Outstanding service. The food was spot on . My wife and I got to have dinner at the presidents table. Wonderful experience.
