Great experiences. I had heard really good things and it lived up to its hype , the magicians are very talented and put on an exceptional show . Awesome venue , good drinks and food . Highly recommend a night out

My girlfriend and I had a blast celebrating our anniversary! Justin, Paige, and the house magicians were phenomenal!

We went for the first time tonight. Every performer was amazing!!!! The food was good, the waitstaff were nice and helpful, and we had a great time. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great time. The new venue is very nice. Stop in for a drink and a few magic tricks at the bar, or get show tickets and plan an evening out. The staff were all very friendly. Cocktails were actually reasonably priced at about $10 per drink, and better than I would have expected. The food was a little underwhelming, but that's my only real complaint.

What just happened..... I still have no idea. Thanks for the excellent hospitality and performance. This place is a must see

My boyfriend and I just left. It was a surprise for his birthday, and it was easy to keep it a secret until the last second!!! The magicians were amazing, in particular David Kaplan and Bill Cook. Just astonishing. Will 100% be back

This place was SO much fun! The speakeasy feel in the front is hilarious, the cutout in the bar just for table magic is awesome, and the theater is beautiful. I would highly recommend coming here whether you're a tourist or a local.

Truly outstanding! Great concept anchored by an excellent staff and phenomenal talent. From the close up magicians working the bar and tables to the headlining act, all the performers were consummate pros and had great audience rapor. highly, highly recommend. Spend the extra for the late show at the 654 club! One of those things that you can only find in Chicago!

I can t say enough good things about this place. Perfect for date night, night out with the girls, or place to bring family. The staff was friendly, food was good, and the week night music and magic show was fun. You might be a bit confused walking in, but that s all part of the fun :)

Wow!! Best date night ever. Magicians are professional and amazing. They perform table side magic, bar magic and then there's a main stage show. The venue is intimate with vintage drinks and a small snack menu. If you're ready for something different, come here. It's also older family friendly so you can bring older relatives, friends or your significant other.

Great spot, you can see magic and comedy and have drinks at the bar from open til their first show starts (500-730, iirc), then it's just drinks.They guy performing at the bar (The Great Bibick, I think) was REALLY GOOD. He was hilarious and the magic was fantastic. The paid show... Meh, the first hour was really underwhelming with magicians rounding the tables. The stage show was pretty good though. There are a lot of nice surprises at this spot too. Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink at the very least.

All I can say is, "Wow!" I was allowed to preview the inside of this new club dedicated to the art of magic. Beautiful! Classy! Art Decco! A fantastic thowback to the days of Chicago's Speakeasy culture -- all with a magical twist. Wait til you see the secret passageway to enter!

I went on one of the "Music and Magic" nights, and was beyond impressed. The tableside magicians are so talented, and even when you are specifically looking for the misdirection, it's impossible to see how they do it.

They are kind and funny people, as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants food, drinks, and incredible entertainment!

This place is amazing, and I must visit place in Chicago! They have so many great magicians, great music, great food, and such a classy atmosphere. If you like magic, or just like good place to be entertained and feel cool, this is it!

I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. The magicians were phenomenal, the staff was friendly, and the drinks were reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back.

I love card magic but even if you don't love magic this place is so much fun. Have a drink at the bar and watch card tricks. Appetizers are good and drinks were good,too

Cocktails were delicious and decent price. Didn't get to see the magic show but there was some free up close card tricks at the bar which was pretty cool. The whole venue itself is definitely worth to check out.

Wow. First of all the mentalist show was so good that everyone in the audience was shocked. Being so close to the stage and seeing act after act that we could not explain really made our evening magical. Thank you guys for an amazing evening! The drinks were quite agreeable as well

We have been seeing the Magic Lounge shows for over a year and a half together and are super excited for the new space.

So excited that we are having our wedding reception here- we were able to take a look inside and were blown away by the space! The cocktail menus and dining options are just as impressive.

Had we found this space sooner and had our first date here, no doubt we d already be married.

We had a fantastic time entertained by the wittiest and most upbeat magicians ever.

A magical hidden gem in unassuming Andersonville. Just pick up the phone and enter a fantastical world of friendly staff and mercurial cocktails.

This is such a unique and new experience. I went here on an outing with coworkers and had the best time. This is a great place for a alternative to the same old boring bar you go to every week. You are greeted with close-up magic and cocktails then given the complete experience with a history of magic in chicago and a chance to see some of the up-and-coming local magicians from around the city. Truly an awesome and thrilling experience!

If you're going to spend $11 on a drink in Andersonville, you might as well drink it here and be highly entertained at the bar!

And the official show was great! Get there on time for the tableside magic! Tip: those in the mezzanine seats got front row seats to the 654 Club show that immediately follows.

The Chicago Magic Lounge's new theatre is unlike anything in the country! Having seen the amazing magic shows they've produced for years where they incorporate stage acts as well as classic Chicago Style Close-up Magic and imagining that show in this exciting new theatre space is something no Chicago resident or out-of-towner should miss! 5 stars for this must see one of a kind Magic Venue!

Just had such an amazing night at Chicago Magic Lounge! I was blown away by the magic and laughed so hard at the comedy sprinkled into the acts. I highly recommend this for a super fun time!

The Magic Lounge is a terrific place to visit. The magic acts are astounding, and the food and drink menu is terrific. One of the best parts is the 654 lounge and the chance to see magic up close. Make the journey up Clark St. and visit as soon as you can.

Absolutely loved it! Was amazed at the quality and wizardry that went down. The magic was unbelievable, the magicians were hilarious, the venue had an excellent vibe, the wait staff was top notch, the food and drink solid. Overall worth the cost of admission, would definitely go back again!

Absolutely loved this place! It is a hidden Chicago gem which we found from a Thrillist YouTube video on Chicago's secret menu as we were visiting from the UK. I say a hidden gem because you would not realise it was there we ended up walking straight past it and then when we found the entrance it was another mystery to get in as it is disguised as a Laundromat, which is all part of the fun. Once in we were met with a friendly greet by staff who were really helpful and informative. We booked ourselves in for the music and magic show then settled down at the bar. The cloak room is complimentary which was also great. The venue decor and ambience is great and really adds to the experience. Erin our Mixologist was friendly, chatty and made great cocktails all while holding down the bar on his own but still provided prompt service. I really recommend the Amortintia#9. While in the bar we were entertained with Magic and Comedy by AJ who did a great job, he was funny and engaging. We sat down for the show and the views are good. We ordered the Goats Cheese Marinara, Potato Pancakes, Pork Belly Sliders and Fries which were all really good. The music and magic show was entertaining with bits of close up magic at your table. My only disappointment was the second Stage Magic slot only lasted 5 minutes as I was really enjoying it all. So in summary great staff, great food, great cocktails, great show... GREAT PLACE!

Given that they just opened earlier this month, we couldn't be more pleased. The service was exquisite, and the food and drinks were fantastic. The magic shows themselves incorporated enough humor to make it fun after 2-3 hours. This is absolutely worth your time and money. Do it.

This is the best, most elegant magic experience west of the Magic castle in LA. Everything is wonderful, people are great, prices for food and drinks are reasonable as are the show tickets. The venue, which they constructed, pretty much from scratch is OVER the Top. You must go there to experience this. Enter through the laundry, tee hee.

Great drinks. Small show at the bar before the event. Great comedy. You can see from every seat. Loved the small magic tricks at each table. Definitely recommend the after show.

Purchased 4 tickets in January for a May 2020 show. This was honestly going to be a highlight of my vacation to Chicago. Now, the show has been totally cancelled due to co-vid. Unfortunately, despite this "act of God" this vendor refuses to give me a refund to my original payment method, despite several email attempts back and forth over recent weeks. Giving 2 stars because the show looks awesome and I'm impressed by their online presence & quick response time to emails. However, overall, this is just a terrible customer service answer for people who spent hundreds of dollars on tickets. Totally understand that they want to save their business by REQUESTING that I potentially take a gift card or reschedule, but I do not live in Chicago and have no clue when I will be in a position to visit under the current circumstances, so a gift card or tickets to a future show are just not acceptable options. The funny thing is that I was planning to donate some of the $280 I paid in tickets back to the Magic Lounge after I paid back my 3 friends who previously paid me via Venmo for tickets. No chance of that now. So disappointed that I now have to resolve this with my credit card company as a disputed charge.

Such a great experience!!!!!!! This was my first time attending a show at the magic lounge and it was phenomenal! Our waitress JESS was so great and sweet and accommodating and made my mom ( who s birthday it was ) felt so incredibly special. I thank you so much. Even the manager KELLY came over to make sure we were enjoying everything and I m just so happy. I found out about this place through a friend so I m just so happy that it was as great as she said. Thank you so much for having a great staff and overall a great experience! Yay Jess and Kelly!!!

My partner and I have been to two separate shows and have had an exceptional time. I recommend the Chicago Magic Lounge to everyone! The magic is excellent!!

Wow. I really recommend this for a terrific night out...esp for a group of 4-6 people...although duos are given equal attention by the accomplished magicians. Every night there is a different show presented...look at their site. Food is really good, and generous for the price. Drinks are excellent for the money too.

An immersive evening of excellent customer interaction, misdirection and mirth. Menu is not overdone, but extremely tasty dishes that excel at anchoring down a plethora of house drinks and a lengthy wine menu.
The house magicians circulated robustly during the preshow seating and settling in.
Bringing the crowd together and getting all involved.
Servers were helpful, knowledgeable and unrushed yet efficient.
Restoring magic days of close up performance was truly a unique experience. Will gladly do it again.

We came for my anniversary and had a fantastic time. It's like a speak easy, even the entrance is disguised, then you're escorted into another section of behind secret entrance. Just very well thought out and entertaining!!

Awesome experience! I recommend buying the premium seating where you get to see the backstage show.

What a wonderful place this is. Good drinks, great performances, and excellent ambiance. The food is small portioned and high price, for those who enjoy that. My only downside is that many of the magicians that come around for close-up magic seemed to focus on larger groups and pass by our two-person table. Other than that, we had a splendid time!

The coolest place I've ever been. I had no idea what to expect and the entire experience blew my mind. My only complaint was that the show wasn't longer!

SO.MUCH.FUN! My husband got tickets for my birthday and it was just the BEST time. I'm pretty sure I was smiling/giddy from the minute we showed up. Even better? The price doesn't break the bank! You can have a really fun night out without paying an arm and a leg. I'll definitely keep CML in mind when planning a night out with my husband, friends, or family.

Our neighborhood association, ASNA, had a social outing here last night and we all absolutely loved it. It's stunning inside, the magic is spectacular and a lot of fun. Our neighbor said he hasn't laughed that much in years. We were all blown away by the magicians. Such great skill and talent. We will be going a lot in the future. The bar is beautiful and you can just stop in for a drink.

Great atmosphere, and very entertaining for both kids and adults. Highly recommend!
