Egon Lillehammer Restaurant Review

At Egon you know what you get. A bit challenging if you are a mobility impaired so I recommend booking a table so you do not have to go stairs.

Ok food and drink. Great space and start the evening

We booked a table at 7am, we arrived at 7am. We didn't get the table until 15 minutes later. You have to order your own food at the bar. So it's not exactly like a restaurant for me and my family. It took 30 to order the food. After we ordered the food it took an hour and a half before the food arrived. So then I had to sit and starve. Hadn't eaten since 2 o'clock. When the food arrived it was very good. Oh after that everything was fine. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, sure they didn't fancy helium balloons then.

Good service. Not happy with the food, chewy steak that was cooked wrong. The steaks and pancakes were good.

We ordered and Egon delivered. Cozy atmosphere and wonderful service. Full run so started was a bit frozen. Main courses that were ordered were delivered and were exactly as ordered.

They made a mess with online orders. We had to wait a long time for the food. They sat us in a table close to the balcony, with easy risk of things falling, and when an accident happened then they were blaming us. We felt insulted as customers. Bad customer service. Not satisfied at all. Not recommended at all.

Had to wait for 50 min for the food and when I got the food it was wrong. But when everything was right, the food tasted delicious

I liked it because it has variety and good service.

We were 4 and one wrong was made wrong. The other three were finished and they were only standing to wait for the last court. They were therefore lukewarm until we got them. Waited almost 30 min on the whole thing ..

Ate grillshearing which was top notch. Nice place to eat with soul. Was greeted by a nice waitress who offered good mood good service.

Was given a lot of work today. But they got it sorted out in the end. Ordered a pizza and it turned into fish soup. Complained and they had to sort it out. Then it was the wrong pizza that was turned in. Pulled the card 2 times extra for spacers. Could well have treated a coffee cup as a plaster to the wound but but.

great food and decent service, great plus for great outdoor dining in the summer and decent playroom for the kids price, it seemed expensive and the coffee didn't taste so good.

Best entrecote I've eaten, but 20 meters long queue in cramped premises is a bad system. Should have waiters walking around taking orders. I was there after the birch bones race so there were maybe more people there then it is common.

Egon is Egon. But the room is unique, located in Lillehammer's old mill. In summer time it is very nice to sit out on the terrace with the Mesnaelva running right below. Nice service. But should the pizza filled really slip off the pizza base?

The location is fantastic and the premises have something more soul than other Egon's I've been to. The outdoor seating is highly recommended !!

There is poor restless service and the food does not taste good at all. You are not greeted with a "hello" or "welcome" There is more pineapple in the food, than anything else. When I said about it, I got the answer: "There are standard steaks on Egon." I will never put my legs there again Give those who work here a course in how to take care of their guests, so they will come back, and not one has to run out of here.

Great food, we ate steak. Fantastic dessert, recommend chocolate fondant. Pulls down that the tables we were assigned were reserved. Otherwise a very good restaurant, with decent prices. Good service.

Late opening for this area, good food, staff have good English, recommended.

Poor wheelchair access, rude service and we didn't get the food the way we should

Well. Must pay before leaving the food. And when you get the food, you get the impression that they have been paid for the job, but do not want to give extra for and give a good food experience. Locals are fine. People are nice. The food is not good unfortunately. And paying first is ridiculous.

First visit, dinner.
Probably 40-50 different dishes to choose from, usually a warning flag for quality and continuity. But the 5 small dishes we start with were well cooked and tasty. Otherwise very "simple" main courses to choose from. The cheeseburger did not have much new to offer, maybe can not expect it either. The taco plate, yes, was just a home "Friday taco".
You can place your order at the bar yourself, but the wait staff carries the food out for you, payment in advance, strange. Impossible to tip before seeing the food?

One of the few "fancy" places in Lillehammer. Good food, but the prices are completely on the ground. Should you order a glass of rocket fuel, glass is not beer. Would not recommend unless you hate having money in the account.

Very family friendly with kids activity books availabile. Absolutely huge with a lot of seating. Cozy, wooden atmosphere with some beautiful snowy views. Hearty food, US style. Amazing burgers! However slightly more expensive than some of the better restaurants nearby.

Lovely pizza, a riesling that is so highly recommended, and a service that makes you feel looked after from beginning to end
