A great place for breakfast especially if you're bored of eggs, avo and sourdough! Really interesting food and Turkish tea/coffee. Service was a little cold and the waitress panicked when she spilt a coffee on one of the dips - no bother, just get a new one!

We came here on a weekend for brunch and yes it was a little pricy. But the food was really really good. The dips had so much dimension to it and was accompanied by a selection of yummy cheeses and beautiful pastries. My girlfriend loved the coffee but I had a soft spot for the Turkish coffee... bitter but in a good way! The Sujuk was wonderful with an interesting soft sponge texture!

Pricy but great atmosphere and friendly staff

Visited for dinner recently. Warm cosy place with equally warm service. Food was excellent and leans towards finer dining.

The downside is portion size. All three mains were very small portions so if you're hungry, best order a few starters for the table.

Also on the pricey side but worth it for the chance to try some very original Turkish dishes.

Dinner menu is so yummy. I can give it a straight 5 stars. Ambience and food presentation are great too. Staff are friendly, they accommodated us despite no reservation and arriving a bit late. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Breakfast set-menu is average and expensive for what it offers. Would still recommend for a 1-time try though.

If you are looking for a great breakfast full of tastes and flavours, it is the best place in all over Sydney area you can find. Prices are so reasonable, customer service is great indeed. Comfortable Outdoor seating area. My suggestions to try with no doubt are:

- Apple tea
- Turkish Coffee
- The big tray of jams and cheese

Lady at the counter decided she can donate a dollar from my card to support some place. Overpriced for the food quality you get. The first lahmacun I ordered was nice and crispy. Second one was quite soft. I deliberatly asked if the manti was home cooked they said yes. But tasted more like a frozen one of the shelf boiled in water and just added some sauce. Definetly not worth the money I spent. If your trying to impress an instagram type person good spot. But definetly not for food.

Nice, attentive and very knowledgeable staff even though if they aren't Turkish. Very traditional and beautiful Turkish environment. However, I haven't had a good experience since the omelette was under-cook. Also, a bit over price for the portion. It was good to experience but I am not gonna try the breakfast again.

The owner came across rude and obnoxious , service slow and they hardly look around which you have to yell to get their attention at times. Main food was good but I was not a fan of the hot entrees. Paying the bill was also a hassle with a large group. I won't go again .

A Turkish feast for the eyes and the palate. We had breakfast here for my birthday and it was the best culinary experience I've ever had. So many dishes to try; delightful and bottomless apple tea; wonderfully attentive service and a truly authentic experience. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Amazing Turkish food! Lahmacun, Ali Nazik, smoked eggplant, zucchini haydari and Chi kofte were next level delicious. The service was also very friendly. Efendy never disappoints if you are looking for good turkish food! It is perfect for vegetarians as well as meat lovers as there is something for everyone!

Efendy is a great local restaurant, serving classic Turkish food. The menu has many interesting dishes. Everything was very tasty, but we particularly liked the confit celeriac (kereviz). The wine list has a good selection of wines from Turkey too.

We were in the female bathroom and we were waiting for a cubicle. When we saw a staff walk out of the cubicle without washing her hands. We were disgusted and didn't eat anymore from here. Just disgusting! She had shoulder length black hair with a red and white striped shirt and a waiter apron. You won't see us again.

We love Turkish food. It is a usual for us since we visited Turkey. We usually go to near by Turkish kabab shops but wanted to experience the real deal and decided to try Efendy for a Sunday lunch. We were excited that they do a 48 per person set menu as this will allow us to get a feel of how good they are. After all the reviews of this place are great and it Is run by a master chef judge. Boy were we disappointed. I think the food is no better than what you find in any local street corner kabab shop. The Adana kabab was the toughest I have had. The mangal special is 2 chicken wings spiced with salt and red pepper. Same goes for Chicken thigh. Couldn t differentiate between them. Warm bread came out to be cold tough bread. The only thing good is the location and venue.

Well worth a visit, a place where expectations meet reality. Breakfast blends into brunch nicely.
Quality and range of food is spot on, service is attentive without being clingy.
The only bugbear is the price; however, all is forgiven when staring at a table of empty serving dishes, having feasted like a king.

Was not impressed at all by the food, the servings were measly. The food was not Turkish food, if it was an attempt to modernize Turkish food, then it is a massive fail. For 6 adults, 3 children and a baby, I felt the food was terribly overpriced. I had the lamb shoulder which was very tender but ridiculously swimming in oil, overly salty and placed on bread that you couldn't eat without invoking a heart attack.

Couldn't have dessert because we were told to leave because we had gone over the two hour dining experience.

No consideration for kids meals so don't bother if you're a family and wanting a family night out.

Veery overpriced, food lacked in imagination. Presentation was good and staff was polite.

Don't get me wrong, the food is to die for! However, the portions are so small which is, in my opinion, quiet the opposite of what traditional food should be. Not enough to feed a hungry turkish man here, just a posh place for fancy cougars.
Felt so hungry despite spending close to $200....
Want some real Turkish food? Go to Auburn you will eat like a king!

You get what you pay for and it is very reminiscent of great and memorable food platters that you would experience in Turkey. I have been to 95% of turkish restaurants in Australia and Efendy easily takes the cake for being the best. Will return for more.

Sydney, be ready to eat with your eyes in a very tasty way! Voted Sydney's best breakfast by smh good food in 2014; Efendy delivers to it's reputation. For $29 per person, be prepared to taste amazing breakfast treats the Turkish way. I loved it! Make sure you book.

Start with the hot food which included sausages and a mix of menemen eggs with some bread. The sausages and eggs had a nice dash of spice. Accompany this with the warm bread and enjoy the spreads. Wow. It was amazing start off to this feast of a meal.

Perfection in every single aspect. Good range of options, everything sounds tempting, and all the dishes we tried were absolutely delicious. Nice drinks, including non-alcoholic (I recommend the lemonade with pomegranate). Cute setting. Super professional service. Nothing to fault, except that it s not close enough to where I live. Which is good, otherwise I d eat there every single day and would become obese. Thank you team Efendy, please don t change a thing!
