Great place to work! The aquatic staff is phenomenal!!
Great staff and great amenities. I would have given 5 stars but there's a lady practically living in the upstairs women's locker/workout room . She is there everyday for hours walking around naked the entire time as well as going on the balcony naked . She is always on her laptop blasting movies while eating.... When she is not doing that , she is yelling loudly on her phone !
This is unacceptable. I don't mind locker room nudity but this makes it difficult to enjoy my paid membership.
YMCA staff please kindly address this issue further . I have a feeling you must be aware of this considering the sign posted on the balcony stating do not go outside naked ..
We love this place, cheap childcare while we workout, nice equipment, and the nicest staff. Really great group classes.
Needs some updating but they do a great job. Great equipment, plenty of space, great cycling classes. We love it and use daycare which is so helpful!!
Needs to be moved to a location with better parking and newer facilities.
So many activities for kids thru seniors. Excellent!
Great place to go and swim I havent had any issues going here
Contrary to what google says, the Eau Claire YMCA is in fact open on Sundays from 11am-8pm. Also, the staff at the Y is awesome.
The classes are great for my kids and they have a blast during their swimming classes and the teacher work well with the kids
Offers wonderful programming for our youth and keeps our community active!
They are determined to work WITH you and make wellness accessible with not only a variety of workout equipment, but also healthy snacks, positive staff, and a spa-like locker room. Hot tubs are so nice!
Older building, but a great community and excellent fitness programs! Only place to play racquetball and use the sauna for a great price!
I work here so I may be biased but staff is great and clean place to work out.
The staff are helpful and don't make you feel like a tool for not knowing how to do an exercise (or 10 in my case).
Love it, but why be open for the least time on weekends? Weekends are when people have the most time.
This place is an invaluable resource for my family, especially during the long winter. Whatever the weather is doing to us, we have a place to go to burn off energy and have fun engaging in athletic activities (SWIMMING).
Good place to workout. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because they don't have enough parking space. I always have to drive around for a few minutes before finding parking.
The thing I like about this place is it looks the same as it was 20 years ago.
Everything you need for an awesome workout and then soak your sore muscles in the hot-tub when your finished.
The swimming pool is a decent size. One thing I don't like is how events pop up at random the website says open swim 1pm to 5pm and at 230pm the life guards say that theres daycamp or something else happening at 3pm so you have to leave the pool area or put up with a bunch of brats that bump into you and they don't use the kiddie pool. I cant say much n the other activities because I only go for swimming but they have treadmills and basketball and pingpong to name a few other options. Whatever you do go to the eau Claire YMCA because the one in chippewa falls costs twice as much and doesn't offer towels and the desk staff are quite rude at chippewa. The eau Claire staff are ok but they don't always know about the random events that pop up
Great group exercise classes and awesome family friendly vibe. Love it!
great place to work out the staff is great its worth the money
They had charged me after I had cancelled the membership and informed me there would be no future charges, the finance department was rude and dismissive. Was informed the executive director would be contacting me. The condition of the building is disgusting.
It's not handicap accessible. If you are able bodied, it's fine. I was sent there for physical therapy in the swimming pool. The maze of hallways was rediculously long for me. I use a cane.
I was in town for a few days so I purchased a couple of day passes at the YMCA. Their equipment is in excellent condition, there is lots to choose from, and it is very clean. I will definitely go there again. Great location too, near the downtown with great areas to walk and run outdoors.
I enjoy the facility! It's center location makes easy to pop in before work and get a good work out in. Staff is friendly!
I like that there are clsses included in my monthly payment and my family has a fun time here
Very friendly environment. The fitness class instructors are amazing. Can't find anywhere better to do pilates and yoga!
I've tried other fitness places. and nothing compares to the YMCA in eau Claire. There is a positive energy for all walks of life. It has become my Church, a place of healing.........
Nice place to workout, swim, and play basketball with friends..
THE ADMISSION PRICE IS REASONABLE, FRIENDLY STAFF, GREAT WORKOUT FACILTY, NUMEROUS GYMNASIUMS AND AN OUTSTANDING SWIMMING POOL AND JACUZZI.
Youth basketball program is a joke. Don't waist your time or money. Teams aren't picked fairly (even with so called try outs).
Like most YMCA's with a wide range of athletic admenities, but also non-athletic classes that help improve wellness. Despite being Christen Value based, they do not force religion on anyone, however they do ask you respect their values & set good examples for others! They do have a % discount on membership and classes for those in NEED, not want; even full price, all that is offered is super awesome for the cost in the area!
Could have let parents know that it was an age appropriate
