Great poke! Very good food and fresh. The medium size bowl is big enough for one, and the big one is really big.
They have some signature sauces that are also good.
The store is not too big, but you can eat there as well, it s not a take out only place.

As much as I love poke. I come here often and many times that s the owner knows my order by heart. I don t know why but I went to try a different place and
man what a mistake that was! Went to another place got a a large with just chicken added shrimp and it was $18! And the portion was so little ! I normally get a large at poke plus and it came with 3 protein and as many topping as I want and way less than that! At poke plus I can get 3 protein for about $13. My boyfriend gets the super which is 5 protein and the owner packs everything in there for him. And his bowl is only $16!! Way less than the other place. If you re thinking about going a different poke place than poke plus, think again.
Update- poke plus changed their way of cutting their tuna and salmon. They re not piece of fish. It s freaking sashimi! They re huge ! Poke plus keep doing what you guys are doing ! Amazing !

Poke Bowl Plus offers an endless array of topping options for whatever flavors you are craving that day. I love that they allow you to pick different kinds of meat in one bowl. I chose the spicy salmon, fresh salmon, and ahi tuna... amazing! The variety of sauces was refreshing as well. Prices were reasonable as well. Keep up the good work! I'll be back, and probably more often than I think! :)

Every time that I go to Poke when the manager isn't working it's never open on time. And I go pretty much everyday. The manager always asks politely for what I want, the employee not so much, The other worker doesn't compare to the manager.
Also the drinks are always near empty and the water filter is never filled.

Overpriced---they don't give you nearly enough fish (it's a tiny scoop per serving, even with a large, $12 order). The fish doesn't taste terrible but it's not super fresh. Employees were pushy (kept trying to rush me even though no one else was in line)

Eat in is pretty uncomfortable, the staff seems more interested in talking on the phone, and I also think it's a bit overpriced. Nice idea though of making your own healthy meal. Lots of toppings available. There's also a Teriyaki menu but haven't tried that one. Would definitely take away and pour that big messy bowl on a plate.

This place is great! There are so many protein options to choose from, and even more toppings and sauces! Three different sized bowls is really nice too. You pick what rice you want, then there's a whoooole lot of ingredients at a bar, sort of like a Subway, where they out those on the rice, you can pick 2 different proteins though I just doubled up on tuna hahaha, and there's a bunch of sauces to get gently zigzagged across the top. There's also a crunchy topping to add at the end if you want. The sitting area is really cute. You can pick either chopsticks or there's silverware if you want as well. My partner got teriyaki instead of poke and it was brought out sizzling hot and made-to-order with a nice bowl of rice, he loved it!

If you like sushi but want to mix it up, try poke. The food is fresh, different, and varied. The staff are knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. Definitely a welcomed addition to State Street offerings.

Went there twice, the first time was pretty good. The second time I went was a half hour after they were suppose to open according to the sign on the door and their website. The doors were still locked and they were clearly not opened. Super annoying and misleading.

I have never left a review so that shows how bad this experience was. We spent $25 on the food alone, and I got spicy salmon and spicy tuna, to find two scoops of legitimate moosh in my bowl. We have eaten at 3 other Poke places in Madison, so unless this was some special I m not aware of, I thought it was cat food and could barely eat it. Would not recommend unless you re into that or if you order the Ahi Tuna which my boyfriend did and oddly was full pieces of fish on the contrary.

Very yummy. They have a healthy base made of brown rice, lentils, quinoa, and other grains that made the regular size bowl very filling. The options are well labeled, even the ones that are an additional 0.50. The server was nice and upbeat and walked me through building the bowl. It was my first poke bowl and it was so yummy.

The man working there wasn't the nicest. It was our first time there and we were in line, and he asked us what we wanted, and we told him we weren't too sure yet, since there was a wide selection of items to choose from in the Poke Bar. He took his hand and gestured for us to move out of the way because there was another couple behind us ready. I was fine moving out of the way, but he could have politely said, if you need a minute or two, I'll be helping the next customers, but nope. So that kinda brushed us the wrong way.

We decided to order a Poke Bowl, and got a generous portion of rice, but it was piping hot. Normal Poke Bowls should have cooler temperatures for the rice, so the heat doesn't warm the sushi fish that may cause potential bacterial growth leading to foodborne illnesses. That aside, it was quite pricy from the start, and to make things more irritating, they charge 0.50 for certain additional toppings that normally would go along with a Poke Bowl. Things like Masago or Avocado, or Seaweed Salad would be charged. There are several different types of options for fish, we got a super so we chose salmon, spicy tuna, poke tuna, poke tuna, and spicy salmon. I was a little surprised at how small the scoops were. 5 scoops at that place is a normal 3 scoops at a place like Poke Bar in Hawaii. The cashier, a female student from the campus possibly, was very friendly to us and rang us up. She was very helpful in explaining the menu items and such.

The Poke at this place was just alright. They charge so much already, why wouldn't they use nishiki rice? Do they really think we wouldn't notice the cheap long grain rice that you are using in a sushi bowl? Of course when I heard the chef in the back, he was speaking Mandaring, so of course, no surprise that he would try to cheap out and nickel and dime ppl any way possible. At least the fish, for the most part, tasted fresh, but it was lacking in quanitity for the $16-17 bowl that it ended up costing with the additional items. Once again, Madison disappoints with subpar Sushi restaurants. The restaurant was very clean and tidy and looked modern, but I'm going there for the food, not how neat and organized and tidy your restaurant is.

Great stop for some quick poke. It's pretty much the same price of other poke places in the area and this one has punch cards to get a free one if you buy enough (awesome considering the number of times I stop here)! The staff sometimes have some language barriers but that was never a big deal when you can easily point out your preferences (I've noticed huge improvements in this as well).

Food is acceptable but not worth the price. No silverware saves them dish washing, but if you're not proficient with chopsticks, you're going to get frustrated with the crappy plastic fork. Navigating their menu and ordering process is anything but streamlined, and the staff are curt at best.
