What a beautiful place! Patrick the GM was very welcoming! I had ordered to go for a small film group- about 8 people. They had the order up in no time! Make sure you try the house cake!

I rarely write reviews but this place was amazing! I tried the pizza, soup, salad, butternut squash ravioli, tagliatelle with cream sauce, lasagna with meat sauce, porcini filet mignon, mille foglie & mango & mint gelato (lots of leftovers..) & everything was delicious!

While the atmosphere is unique and pleasant, it does not actually follow what one expects in an Italian restaurant. The lighting is a bit harsh, with a florescent look. The service was friendly and considering how busy they were, I feel More

The food here is actually pretty good, the problem is that my fiend with Celiac's (can't eat gluten) had a reaction after SPECIFICALLY asking the waiter if the risotto had gluten. He was adamant that it did not, and honestly she had gotten it before without issue (some places use pasta water to thicken otherwise gluten free dishes). However she had a severe reaction that night and almost had to go to the hospital. Clearly the waitstaff was not at all careful about our parties need and didn't inform or check with the kitchen.

If you love paper thin pizza crust, this is the place to be! Their pizza crust is very airy, and doesn't make you feel guilty for cheating on your diet. Their house-made burrata cheese goes great with the pizza!

My boyfriend and I were visiting California from Toronto around Christmas of 2015. We were recommended to go to Eatalian after our flight over DTLA. Once there we were seated very fast and immediately brought a loaf of bread and water by our waiter Gill. One thing that is extremely important to us during a meal is that we have water at all times because we like to drink a lot of it. Not only did Gill make sure that we always had water he made sure that we always had bread at the table. He even went ahead and gave us a delicious loaf of sun dried tomato bread "to make our trip from Toronto worthwhile" is what he said. The menu was excellent and Gill was more than helpful with answering any questions we had and with making suggestions to suit our taste.

As much as this review is about the restaurant it's self I would like to make my point clear that Gill is an amazing man. He told us that we made his night just because of how happy we were with his service. I can only hope that someone reads this that is able to reward Gill for his kindness. If you are the manager or owner of this restaurant please make sure to tell Gill what a great job he is doing. That guy is someone you're definitely going to want to keep around.

Restaurant is definitely 5 stars but Gill gets 10 stars for being great! Thanks a lot man.

First time at this place and we just happen to drive by and crave Italian. Really good food and you could definitely taste the quality. Desert was amazing as well and fresh. Employees were super nice and provided quick service. I am definitely going again soon!!!

GR..Eatalian Cafe is the only way to describe this gastronomic wonderland. We were up in LA overnight and none of us could think of anywhere else we would rather eat at short notice than this great cafe. It was after 7.30 pm when we walked in and the place was packed to the rafters. After just a few minutes we were seated at a table. The service and friendliness of the staff here is excellent. We were all a tad hungry and pretty worn out from a long day. Food orders were promptly taken, drinks arrived as if in a seamless operation. I had to order a pizza like on our previous visit and chose the Pizman. The rest of the family went for various pasta dishes as they all did last time. Our meals were on our table in the blink of an eye and let me tell you we enjoyed them immensely. My Chimay beer was just what the doctor ordered while the other family members went for a nice wine. Had to have a go at the gelato again and it didn't disappoint. This is a truly marvelous establishment that serves top quality Italian food at amazing prices delivered with smiles and panache by wonderful staff. The ambience is gourmet because there is no other word to describe the place !

The location is weird, is it a restaurant? Entering a building
It's reverse. The restaurant is more comfortable than cozy because it has been renovated to provide a spacious space.

According to other reviews, it's really delicious except seafood pasta. The family went and ate a very happy meal.
The staff was very friendly and the menu was very good. I ordered pasta with tomato sauce
It was really delicious and the last recommended dessert
Vanilla gelato.

I'm back in Korea now, but next time I go back to the US
It's definitely a gourmet restaurant.
It was really fun. ^^

Great Eatalian cuisine great desserts the only con is its location. Located in Gardena's industrial neighborhood from the outside it looks like a factory or a warehouse like the other buildings but once you are inside it is a whole other story. Loved the Tiramisu!

If you're looking for a real Italian taste in California then you mustn't miss this restaurant. I've tried several in the United States but this is really good, this is really Italian. Antonio and his staff will not disappoint anyone who wants to enjoy true Italian cuisine. When a friend of mine introduced me to him a few years ago, I was extremely surprised at how genuinely Italian the dishes of this restaurant were! Try it and you won't be disappointed.

Great cafe with food faithfully prepared in the Italian tradition: simple and very fresh ingredients combined for outstanding taste. Our family of five (two adults and 3 young kids) had two different kinds of pizzas and devoured everything. Then we shared three different desserts (all excellent; it was a tie between the panna cotta and the cannelloni for top place.) This place may be a bit out of the way, but it is a hidden gem.

The owner here is awesome if you get to speak with him. He is ver nice and appreciative of people supporting his business. The food here is delicious and a fair price for the quality. I ate the Chicken Marsala and it was so good. The Marsala sauce was so good it would make anything taste delicious. My son had the Amarciata pasta, tomato sauce with bacon and onions in it. My wife had the spinach and cheese raviolis with meat ragu. Another crowd pleaser. Leave room for dessert because you should try the Tiramasu. It is really worth the splurge. It is light and airy with chocolatey goodness and a hint of coffee flavor. I don't normally order Tiramasu but this could have converted me.

A warehouse turned modern Italian eatery. This restaurant is a best kept secret in the middle of Industrial Gardena. Fresh, simple, high quality (imported) ingredients make for a more authentic Italian taste. They are able to capture the fullness of flavor with very few basic ingredient combinations which is one of the beauties of true italian cuisine. The pesto is chocked with incredibly fresh chopped basil and garlic. The pizzas are topped with crushed tomatoes, quality cheeses, and cured meats. They have a selection of pastas made fresh in-house like the butternut squash or spinach raviolis which are wonderful. They have a whole spread of in-house made desserts, gelatos, and an espresso bar. This is not for those that are looking to satisfy their Italian-American style cuisine favorites. I highly recommend it!

I loved it. The food is terrific and authentic. Thinnnnn pizza was delicious and the pasta was cooked perfectly. I had tagliatelle with mushroom sauce and it was the real deal. At least a dozen flavors of gelato. Italian cookies. Panne cotta. Oy veh . Everything delicious. It s in an unlikely location in an industrial area. Park on Main or very small lot in rear. Worth the drive from OC. They had a great Italian wine list and the waiter made excellent recommendations.

This is one of the best places that we regularly go to. A good selection of Italian food, but their pizzas are pretty unique. Very thin crust and oven fired so they come out super fast and are quite tasty. The staff is great and management is friendly. If you go there a few times they'll start to remember you, and that is more important than you might think.

I came here for brunch recently for the first time with co-workers. I felt like I was at home enjoying a home cooked meal. I ordered the eggplant Penne Con Gamberi and fruit cake for dessert. Everything was good and look forward to returning.

Extraordinary Italian food. A bit pricey but sooooooo worth it. I took my daughter and significant other for a night out and the food and service were better than expected. Would and have recommended 100%. A definite must for all you foodies out there, you will not be disappointed.

Eatalian is one of the cutest Italian restaurants in the South Bay Area. It feels homey and authentic. I believe there s two locations: here and another one on Crenshaw in Gardena. Here, they have different types of breads! I love the onion one. I also enjoy the mimmimo (not sure how to spell, I think it s number 19) pizza with the fresh cheese and arugula. Their pastas are average, but I still love and order them. The desserts are a bit overpriced, so I never purchase them. But overall, pizza and pasta is great.

They have the best thin crust pizzas and a huge selection of gelato! One of our family favorites for celebrations or casual dinners. It is located in an industrial part of town, and it's because there is a cheese manufacturing facility on-site. Huge space with many tables but it gets very busy. The parking lot is small for the restaurant size, but there are lots of street parking right on Broadway.

We just got home from having dinner at Eatalian. We haven't been here in about a year. Things have changed! The server was not only rude but he was combative. He was literally shouting at us. He delivered the pizza and the entree at the same time. What sense does this make? The entree was the Scaloppina (pork) it was tough and over cooked. The "roasted veg." were a couple of strands of bell pepper and the lemon sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. By the time we finished, the pizza was cold. They want your money and then they want you out as soon as possible. Very disappointing.

My heavens! Worst server I have ever had. Seriously, I am not a picky guy about servers, I know how hard the job is but man-o-man. Waited 25 min for my check and had to stand up and walk across the restaraunt to get her attention, then, and only then does she ask if the meal was ok and if she could offer me a coffee and a gellatto.
The pizza was aceptable, great crust. The clam pasta was terrible. Clams were good, but instead of the white wine sauce they poured 6 oz of oil on the pasta. It was greasy and gross. I had to flag down another sever just to get some cheese.
Considering the place was packed, I am sure I was just unlucky in my experience, but WOW, terrible visit. Before crossing through Compton to get to this restaraunt you may want to just order papa john's or something.

Everything is great. While I think some items are expensive they make up for it by using fresh ingredients and creating beautiful plates. My favorite is the calamari fritte and anything in the pastry case.
