The worst service ever, people are so illiterate cant follow written instructions. Screwed my Birthday, we had to leave the. Hotel within 4 hours such pathetic service.

Excellent service and always a treat to be hosted by Anantara's hospitality.

We booked a room with a balcony online, and we had really enjoyed our stay, everything was clean and perfect; the room, the breakfast and the location of the hotel. The views of the mangroves from the balcony was amazing! The breakfast has variety of options and it was yummy. The staff is very professional. There s different restaurants nearby and a supermarket that have all what you could need, there s also boat rides nearby. Highly recommend!

Excellent service, the room is large , the private pool is wonderful

Well the hotel is kind of cozy and warm. It more likely to be a family type hotel.
Very quiet even in the weekend.
It doesn't have access to the beach even tho it is located on the beach.
The price is very affordable in the summer.
The staff are ready nice. They have upgrade my room.

Now this is a place that I will never forget. This place is breathing with hospitality and a home feel. Also the food is out of this world. I've been a regular customer for many years and they keep improving. One sad thing is they don't offer any points or loyalty programs. If they do have, they are hidding it.

The location is just for enough away from Abu Dhabi to make it less hectic but also close enough that it is easy to get to anywherw you need to go! My favorite part was the fact that you can see the mangroves form the hotel. We went kayaking and it was so fun.

Good & clean hotel,yet no kids club available, the location is good with connected restaurants and good walking area

We had a nice family break & Staff were nice. Pool was extremely small and there were no kids activities. The kids club wasn't great at all and to make it worse they didn't have a staff member looking after the club. The lack of kids activities, pool and kid club were a big disappointment.

Enjoyed a nice stroll by the canal walkway. Very quite at night

we were impressed by the pictures on Anantara s website and the overall good ratings on tripadvisor and as we prefer Hotels with a local touch instead of worldwide look-alike chain Hotels, we decided to stay at Eastern Mangroves this time while in Abu Dhabi (we usually stay at Shangri-La Abu Dhabi or Madinat Jumeirah Dubai which we both love!).
We arrived around 9pm. The Building itself is very impressive and made us feel we arrived at our Arabian Dream vacation right away. Reception went smooth, very attentive staff. We were offered arabian coffee, juice, dates and chilled towels immediately. Angel, our welcome Manager, was more than friendly and charming! We were even given a free upgrade to a Mangrove view Executive Balcony Room.
The room is fantastic indeed. Very big, immaculately clean, comes with luxury ammenities such as Nespresso coffee maker, Elemis products, free water and fresh fruit. We took a quick Hotel tour. The gym is OUTSTANDING! I have around 120 Hotel stays per year. Never have I seen a Hotel gym that well equipped. Also the spa facilities look amazing, however even the use of Hammam or Sauna without treatment is an extra pay which is very unusual for a Hotel this category.
After the tour we had Dinner at the Thai Restaurant. Ambience, service and most of all the food have been fantastic. We opted for the special of the day which featured a flight of five dishes all of which were mouth watering delicious!
Overall a fantastic first night impression.
Then came the next morning. We went for the Breakfast Buffet which I was very much looking forward to.
Arriving at the Restaurant, the place was not busy at all and well equipped with staff, however no-one greeted us. We waited roughly one minute, then decided to pick a table ourselves. Atmosphere in the Buffet Restaurant was like at a mediocre 3* Tourist Hotel. They placed a trolly for used dishes right next to our table with all the noise that came with it. Coffee and Tea were self serving options with just supermarket standart tea, not any high-scale brand one would expect from a five-star. Food options were various, however the presentation was not appetizing at all. Hardly any decoration, looked like it was made for masses, not classes (please see pictures and judge yourself).
As we arrived, we found sausage on the floor. Yes, even at a five-Star this does happen and is perfectly acceptable. But finding the same sausage still there when leaving after 45 minutes should NOT happen at a Hotel this category. Staff was friendly but very slow. It took them almost 10 minutes to get me a Cappucino and I had to wave them over to ask for a second one (which took equally long). Restaurant Manager was busy with wasting empty tables instead of coordinating the service and do customer care. Juice was not fresh but came in bottles which were emptied into self-service units so all the pulp sank to the bottom and the liquid stayed on top. Basically all we got was a glass of pulp (see foto). Food quality and variety was good but far from what what we experienced at Shangri-La or other 5* Hotels within the UAE.
After Breakfast we went outside to see the facilities at daylight. This completely ruined the overall positive impression we had so far. A variety of different deck-chairs all of which came with different covers and obviously several seasons old (see fotos). Cracked wood, a childrens trampoline and bike stowage right next to the main (and only!) pool. The overall appearance of this area is far from five-star!
We were actually planning on staying longer after arrival last night, however now decided to change Hotels tomorrow.

Visited Impressions and wow was it impressive... absolutely stunning views and atmosphere..... The live entertainment added to it as well with a great happy hour .
Will return or recommend .

One of the most memorable staycations weve taken in recent years. The service was attentive, generous and accurate, and, prompt. They sent a very nice cake to mark my little one's birthday, which was very kind and appreciated. The room was big and spacious with all needed amenities. If I were to nitpick - more lighting in the room balcony and apparatus for toddlers in the pool. Super easy recommend

It s a wonderful cozy hotel, I stay twice in it. Staff is helpful and professional . The spa therapy is very professional as I tried the massage they offer. Breakfast buffet is yummy. Hotel view and location very healthy for the human mind to show the mangrove trees.

Beautiful place to spend cozy day in absolute luxury

It is a great hotel with excellent service. Unfortunately i did not spend enough time staying here as i have to go back to Dubai continue my holiday trip. If you want to get casual dinner outside the hotel, just exit the hotel and go walk for 5 min to the east for a little promenade. Btw the gym is excellent.

I enjoyed my visit at this lovely hotel, from the time I stepped out of the taxi to my departure, everyone I came in contact with was lovely. The facility is visually appealing once you step inside. My view of the Mangrove was relaxing and peaceful. The breakfast buffet gave me the opportunity to taste dishes from different cultures. The staff encouraged me to try different foods and took the time to explain how the dishes were prepared. I could sit and relax as I enjoyed my morning meal in a visually appealing atmosphere. That's the way to start the day. Thank you again for a lovely visit.

Amazing property and a lot of fun with my parents ,avoid busy eid breaks though!

Spent quite a couple weeks there, great view from the room. Very good staff especially Marvin from housekeeping, he was very respectful and helpful through out our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, although tv was outdated for a 5 star hotel like that.
The only downside of the stay was the food and the delay of it at the beginning of the stay, thanks to chef (Eden) who saved it by the last week and provided good, delicious meals

the drinks were amazing and i liked how there was a different entrance for the ball room and its not easy to get lost the introduction was amazing

The location is excellent and the service is ok .. but I felt uncomfortable because of the smell of the room and the corridor leading to the room and the cleanliness of the bed cover and the smell of carpet .. And the absence of tissue paper enough for the hand .. and the absence of a jug to work hot water

Their service is fast and the place is magnificent and cleanliness and the price is appropriate

One of the best experience in UAE AUH, super nice hotel with an infinity pool style. Well equipped GYM and accessible variety of water sports near by. Starbucks 100 meters far and Jonny rockets for a nice burger available

One of the best 5 star hotels I ever stayed in, service is amazing, staff are extremely courteous and as a guest, you could see how much they love their job from the way you are being served. As a returned guest I will still return to this hotel in the future.

Quiet and elegant place and more than great service, but food prices are overrated

Wonderful spa at Abu Dhabi. Their Hamam treatment is out of the world.

I like to visit this place before the sunset and enjoy drink a coffee from Starbucks.
A lot of restaurants and coffee shops here with a long distance to walk next to mangrove. There is activities such as Kayaking, and riding a boat.

We spent a week at Antara Eastern Mangroves. The hotel is definitely worth its five stars. Check in easily and quickly, very friendly. The rooms with mangrove views are quiet and large. In the evening, a staff member comes back the blanket and makes the room right for the night. Housekeeping without complaint, the room was always well cleaned. Room itself is very nicely decorated with really comfortable bed and large bathroom. Breakfast is excellent and leaves absolutely nothing to be desired, several stations where live cooking is. We will be back.

Impressions rooftop bar offers now daily ladies nights from 8pm to 10pm with 3 selected beverages. And Ladies Specials - 3 selected coctailes and one of the food platers for AED 85. Also available daily 7pm to closing

Kids enjoyed the trampoline whilst we enjoyed coffee at the coffee lounge.

An upscale and luxurious hotel with international specifications and easy access in the city center on the Crimean Corniche Street and on the sea .. financially capable ..

Great retreat. Got to try it. 1st class service and beautiful location.

Excellent Service!!! Staff very polite and cooperative, good safety measures, excellent warm welcoming staff at entrance and reception, the valet service is excellent. Visited for first time and I was amazed by the unique mangrove's view!!! Swimming pool had infinity pool overlooking the mangroves. The rooms were big and worth having luxurious experience and spacious rooms for affordable prices. Housekeeping staff were so humble that they ensure you are on comfort mode during your stay. Only negative part was the food in impressions restaurant was not that great which includes breakfast and dine in. Hence 4 stars else it would have been 5 star review if the food was excellent.

Relaxing ambience, clean facilities. Friendly staff. What more can you ask for?

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the mangroves

Impressions ladies night was quite nice. I don't typically go to ladies nights because the bars serve the cheapest possible liquor. Impressions offered a quality Prosecco, Red wine, Martini and Mojito. The small plates and entree choices had something for everybody in our large group. The Cuban band didn't really perform Cuban music but, their singing was respectable. I took away one star because they allow cigarettes and cigars INSIDE. Otherwise, I definitely recommend this bar. Bartenders are very good, better than 80% of the others in the city. Waitstaff is attentive, until it gets busy. Then, they struggle a bit. Nothing a little training can't fix...

On the face of it, a good brand and internally it's all as it's advertised. Setting is interesting alongside the mangroves, but that's about it. The sun misses the pool - difficult to change that! But don't promote it as a major reason to come. Dining average to poor, but restaurants nearby. One visit will be enough, and there's plenty of better options in Abu Dhabi.

Love the pool ambiance and setting. It is not big like other mega sized resorts but have everything you need. Also, it is like an Oasis in the town with nice view overlooking Mangroves. Had to wait for a room and it is not throughly cleaned. Forget about sanitization, basic cleaning itself is not up to standard. Staffs are friendly overall, some can be very selective to whom they smile to etc

Fab. hotel, spacious rooms with balcony, some rooms has view of the mangrove, clean, quiet, staff are very friendly and informative, in the compound they have small supermarket, restaurants, valet parking.

Beautiful hotel! The spa however is extremely over priced, but if money isn't a issue I'm sure it's a must. We wanted to go kayaking and there was plenty of options to do so. We also managed to go on a donut. Boat which is a very unique experience!

Beautiful views all round the resort and pool, however it's in the middle of nowhere and lots of construction near by
