We had a fantastic purchase and installation experience with East Greenbush Window Coverings (EGWC)! The quote was fast and accurate. Our shade was ordered promptly and arrived a day before we were expecting it. The EGWC installer was professional, courteous, clean and fast. EGWC exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be doing business with them in the future!!!
Unfortunately we have had a very bad experience with this company. We worked with a designer to purchase window treatments for our entire house from January-March of 2017. We placed the order on April 15th and we were told that the longest anything would take was 8 weeks.
After following up many times, they finally told us that everything EXCEPT the shutters were in during August. (The designer had forgotten to order the shutters and admitted and apologized for this). Turns out that when they had come to measure, they measured everything incorrectly - and everything needed to be either re-ordered or fixed back in the workshop.
On August 24th, I was told that this would all be fixed and rushed and they would be back in a week.
It is now October 24th, and we have still heard nothing. This order was placed over 6 months ago and we still have near to no window treatments in our home. We were also required to pay 50% at the time of ordering, so we have a significant amount of money wrapped up while we wait. The communication has been very poor, and unless I follow-up repeatedly, I hear nothing at all.
Save yourself a huge hassle and try to find a different company to work with.
I ordered custom shudders for two bathrooms, one double hung window and one casement. Lorraine was great, she came out to take both measurements and they came back perfect. The clean lines of the shudders really modernized my dated bathrooms. Overall great experience!!!
