I truly understand why there are so many 1 star reviews about this company. There is nothing "smart" about this technology at all. First of all, it doesn't work. I've been in two complexes now that force us to pay for this useless service, and we have had defective units and connectivity issues at both places, along with many of our neighbors. Dwelo is nothing more than a remote control on your phone to turn lights on and off, change the temp and unlock the front door. It doesn't even have a programmable option for your thermostat, which is what, 1980 technology?

installed in the building Im in . It doesn't work , it hasn't worked for months. Without angel investors this company should be bankrupt real soon. I cannot see any reason to use the software or anything they are trying to peddle

Absolutely the worst experience. Hasn't worked for months and when it did work, it was only when I restarted the hub every few days. I'd given up on it entirely until my door was locked electronically by maintenance and I was unable to enter my apartment, even with the physical key. Not having control over this type of technology in your home is dangerous. Customer service is responsive, but they'll have you set up an appointment for you to call in and get help installing new hardware. When you call, you select the correct department and then get the menu options all over again. After 10 minutes of calling repeatedly I got through to someone. 30 minutes later they tell me that the app doesn't work after telling me that replacing the hardware would fix the app somehow. I dont think I've ever had a more frustrating experience with a piece of technology. If my apartment complex didn't require this, I would have thrown it away a long time ago.
I have reached out to customer service several times and that has not helped. Fix the app, make better tech.

Does anyone answer the phone?? I have tried numerous times to reach Dwelo support in the past couple of weeks and it s always the same thing. Everyone is too busy to answer the call. I ve left voicemails and received one call back, but alas, the dwelo itself didn t even work. Now I m trying to get in contact to set up my other new dwelo. And no returned calls or answers again. Horrible customer service.

I've been at an apartment where Dwelo service is included and mandatory. I'm assuming they have a local sweetheart deal with property management, because the service and app have been consistently unreliable for the 3 months I've been here. The door lock feature seems to work two or three times before having to hard reset the hub, or reinstall my app. It's super frustrating knowing how great it can be when it works, but not being able to depend on it. I first discovered this inconsistency when I left my apartment for 5 minutes and came back only to be locked out after the hub took itself offline...Which I later discovered is all the time. This next part is so absurd, I had to laugh about it, otherwise I might have cried - I called customer service several times and nobody picked up with my only option being to leave a message. I then shot over a quick email. A customer service rep responded via email...a week later describing how to reset the Dwelo Hub! Luckily my gf was able to duck out of work for a few and bring her key. The app is awesome when it works...It just never works. Is anybody actually working to improve the app or customer service?
