Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Review

A must see. I went as a kid and was able to take my son.

One of the reasons I moved here 14 years ago! Locals get off season deals to ride the train. The train ride to Silverton during season is an all day affair. A nice little museum, the gift shop is not gaudy stuff actually has quality memorabilia and clothes. The small cocessions stand offers good coffee and other refreshments. A must do for tourists!

liked it, didnt get to spend much time though after the Polar Express train ride

Staff was awesome and helped us out to get on another train after the local bike race delayed us. Amazing experience, great views and Silverton is a fun place.

Didn't have a lot of time to see .uch but what we did see we liked. Planning on coming back a d spending a few days.

Drove from Peoria Illinois to Durango to ride train and visit Valley of the Ancients. To the West. But, they informed us that my little lap dog wasn't welcomed because he didn't have his service dog papers yet. Won't be back nor will I recommend. Their Lack of Flexibility And Basic Human Compassion. Moving on.

Great place to go to see and learn the history of trains in the Southwest!!

We loved it! Can't wait to go again. Make sure to take time for the FREE train museum, it has something for everyone. It's incredible!!!

Very nice gift shop, in the original train station. Very reasonable prices (at least for the shirt & magnet that I bought).
