Very impressive. The instructor, Martin, has such a great reputation as a careful land caring instructor that I had to check him out. He has a no nonsense attitude to martial arts, has a well document training syllabus, and runs gradings every 2 months, and gets people up to black belt in about 2 years.
I've trained in many styles of martial arts, including taekwondo, but this club runs so effeciently, it left me feeling quite upset/annoyed with the other clubs that I trained with, as after training with Martin, I realised that there are so many things that are left out in the other clubs.
He makes me smile every lesson, with his humble manner towards his own ability, usually highlighting how much better his members are than him. His teaching style is absolutely amazing, and I've learned more from him in the year I did there, than in the 15 or so years that I'd done with other clubs. My job meant I had to move, and couldn't carry on at his school. If you've trained with Martin, and then move to another club, you'll probably only then realised how poor other instructors are.
i went along to the academy to cross train with my karate as i felt my kicks were getting a bit stiff.the academy was easy to find even without the directions given.i was met at the door by martin ace who gave me a starter pack which has every thing you could possibly want and all the answers to any questions..i was shown where to change and then introduced to a few people.the whole thing was like meeting your friends for training.then the class started.every thing was run smoothly and well thought out.the warm up was specific for the class ahead.i didnt really try to remeber the info given as i thought i was only there for a one off.the exercises were very good and i felt myself getting better as the lesson went on.i enjoyed the whole event and every one of the other students were so friendly and helpful.that said by the end of the lesson i was drenched in sweat but strangely not tired but wide awake.i went back a few times after that and evrey time has been enjoyable.thank you
