Dunes Hotel & Beach Resort Review

I was with my wife from March 1 to 4, 2021, we had a great time, the attention and service of the staff was first class, in terms of the hotel facilities, although it is not fully ready or all the pools and restaurants are working, the part that was in service was impeccable; the food could have been better, when we got to the hotel due to the small number of guests the food was a la carte, in general it was very good, a few days later they changed to buffet mode but it deteriorated a lot, simple food and without seasoning, I understand that the crisis may be affecting them in that aspect; the drinks are regular with the exception of those made by the bartender at the main pool (very good); They have several entertainment options, miniature golf, bike rides, and boats in the hotel's lagoon, the beach is huge but a bit strong.
The only thing I didn't like was that they took almost two hours off the second day trying to sell us the sunsol club, they use very unpleasant sales techniques; For the time of my return flight I wanted to pay the late checkout but I thought the price was excessive ($ 100), however the reception manager let us leave at 2pm free of charge, he was very kind!
Not bad but I would go back when 100% ready, for now I would try another hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and the attention of the restaurant and entertainment staff is fantastic. However the attention at reception is terrible and dazzles the wonderful place. The facilities are good but still limited compared to the other hotels in the chain. I still would not repeat the stay until more pools are opened and above all they should receive the respect they should feel for the guests. Another thing, if groups for events, the rest of the guests become second and that should not be because all guests must be equally important.
