Really mediocre service.

Really mediocre service.
I had arranged to test drive a vehicle off their lot, dealt with Tracey who was good. When I returned the car, because I had arranged the test drive with Tony, I was told Tony will ring me on Monday, still waiting for that call...

Emails often go unanswered and when I have arranged a time for them (DC Ford) to look at my car and told them when I would be back - they hadn't even looked at it because everyone was on lunch. I would have preferred they had though if this and I would have been happy to change the time. Overall I feel they don't have a "can do" attitude.

Matt Greene the parts and service manager... I have never came across such a ignorant uneducated moron in my life!! Not only does he not know anything about fords but when you try to confront him about fitting a car with wrong parts at one of his service branches he shuts right down and tells you your business is no longer welcome!! I took my car to their Alexandra branch to get a knocking in the rear and front fixed and surging power $825 Later I was charged for spark plugs, ball joint, break rotors, break pads and when I got the car back still with the same issues they then tried charging me $1997 to replace all 4 shocks!!! I took it to another mechanic shop who found the knock to be sway bar bushes and the power surging to be a hairline crack in one of the coil packs!! So him and his service branch (Brian luff automotive in Alexandra) owned by Dunedin city motors tried charging me for a total of $2823 and my xr6 was still going to have all the same issues and they are refusing to take any responsibility or acknowledge they didn't know what they were doing the mechanic was just taking wild stabs in the dark at what it could be and I was the one who had to pick the bill up at the end!!!

How sad is it that a self owned mechanic knows fords and knows how to diagnose ford issues better than a ford agent!!! people like this give ford a bad name lucky I've been a ford fan for years and not going to let this retard deture me.

Went in, ordered parts, told that parts would turn up next morning, rung at 12 to see if parts arrived, got told to not ring n that they would ring me when parts arrived, so i did. Its a month later and i still haven't had a call .

Not to mention that they charged me $30 for a $5 relay previously and $321.60 for a plastic water neck. Overpriced and not worth the effort. Buy parts from australia and uk, cheaper and they will get here alot faster.

I've found the staff know their stuff and have kept my old Ford Ka humming along for the past five years. They do an excellent job and seem to have a lot of knowledge about my vehicle.
Changing a headlight bulb in a Ka takes the technical precision of a NASA engineer combined with the hand-eye co-ordination of a brain surgeon; but it was no problem for these guys.
