More of a designer chocolate place than a dessert stop. Neat ideas but nothing I just really loved

I recently ordered some chocolate from here and was disappointed.

The Loco for Coco bar was too salty, and the bacon fat caramel skulls had an overwhelming taste of bacon fat. Instead of complementing the sweetness of the chocolate, the strong tastes almost made it inedible.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Their knowledge of chocolates, truffles, fudges and everything else is pretty extensive. These guys are very creative and I enjoyed being able to sample whatever I wanted. I wish I had been able to try everything once because some of these types of chocolates they make blew my mind! Left very happy with my "crack in a box" squares.

Really nice chocolate place. Friendly staff, delicious chocolate, just a block away from Trader Joe's.

Pricey but the worse thing you will buy here is very good, so you get what you pay for. Homeade marshmallows are the bomb!

I took my friend here for her birthday and she loved it! They have all types of gourmet chocolate and goodies here. They even have candles! Definitely check this place out the next time you're in the Bishop Arts District. You will not be disappointed.

I'm from NJ and ordered online because of Samantha Brown's show Places to Love. I stalked-track my order via UPS. If I was Elon, I would've used a satellite. When I saw the UPS truck today I jumped with glee. The chocolate was thoughtfully packed and arrived in pristine condition. We tore into the box like the choco-fans we are and were NOT disappointed. It was ALL deliriously delicious!!
The aroma, flavor, textures, and NO bitter after taste! Amazing! Thank you Kat and all who made it, packed it, and brought it!!

I can't imagine giving this place less than five stars. The chocolate is sublime and they let you sample it before you buy. The staff was nice as well. Highly recommended.

We love this store! There is handicap parking available. Upon entering the store, it was well lit and clean. It was not crowded and the staff was very helpful.

Great local chocolate boutique, the samplings here are ridiculously generous. The 'Crack in the Box' and the molded chocolate heart organ are both delicious and addicting! Service is friendly, too!

They are too lazy to update there holiday hours. Drove 20 mins to find out they are closed and the site says open. Pure unprofessional and lazy.

The chocolate is absolutely phenomenal! The service is equal to the chocolate. Had an excellent conversation with a fella who worked there about the Arsenal soccer team. Had a great time bringing my family there! Highly recommended.

Great boutique chocolate shop! Was waiting for a table at Lucia that doesn't have much space. They suggested taking our wines into the next door chocolate shop to browse or sit while we waited. Pleasantly surprised. I don't love chocolate though found a bar with some heat and spice I really liked called Toga Party and a praline chocolate bar. Bought some of each!

Surprising late night find...with amazing chocolate, and a hilarious staff! So worth the trip! We bought way more than anticipated, after sampling our way thriugh the whole store. My family lives in Germany and they'really big chocolate snobs, so we will be taking them here next time they visit us. I'm so happy we stumbled across them!

One of Dallas homegrown gems. Not sure you ll like the variety? They are always willing to allow you to sample before you purchase. The staff is cool , knowledgeable, and helpful when figuring out a perfect gift - or something for yourself. (Okay maybe both).

I live in Canton, TX but my husband takes me to Dude, Sweet Chocolate at the Bishop Arts District. Absolutely love it. Staff are very nice. Stop in and try a sample. Since I live some distance away, I buy at least 2 boxes. Ask them about their program for frequent shoppers.

If you're visiting Bishop Arts I would be ashamed of you if you didn't at least pop you're head in here.

I didn't have time to taste samples of any of the chocolate while I was in the store so, I asked for a recommendation for dark chocolate and fruity and they suggested Fruity Crack Chocolate Bark. I purchased it, put it in my bag and left. After getting back home in Corpus Christi I final got to try it out and was completely disappointed by it. It has so much salt that I can't even eat a whole square of it. The rating is for the product itself since after contacting them I was informed I could exchange it out by coming back to the store but, I don't live in Dallas.

The most heavenly, most perfectly made chocolate one's senses will ever have the privilege of experiencing. Any time I am even remotely close to a Dude Sweet location, I make a point to stock up on Chubby Nuts and Crack in a Box. I was sad to learn that the Ft. Worth location and one in Dallas closed. But, as long as Katherine Clapner is waving her magic chocolate wand, I will go how ever far is necessary to satisfy my obsession. Oh... and she beat Bobby Flay. ;)

Gotta Love Chocolate!!! So many different selections, the options are endless. And they do icecream here now!!! This is definitely a Stop you Must Make if in the Bishop Arts Area. I got the Whiskey Jameson infused chocolate, it melts so perfectly. Bruhhh

The chocolate is very good, but the service was even better - the guy behind the counter was very friendly, and let us try samples of the chocolates before we bought them. There were so many choices that it was difficult to pick, but I don't think you could go wrong with any of them.

Delicious chocolate! Had a bit of a mix up with our order but they were so kind and made it right. Gave us more than double our original order so no complaints!!

Love this place! Quaint store with, artisan dark chocolates. Sales associate was entertaining, friendly and informative. Would definitely go back for some "when pigs for" truffles.

They supplied their chocolates to The Boardroom a Salon for Men for a Glenlivet Guardian Experience a Dram. Great Chocolate. Particularly for a guy like me who hardly ever eats chocolate. Nice work.

This is probably the best chocolate I have ever tasted in the United States. I ve had the best chocolate in Belgium, Switzerland, France and even Japan... I was completely surprised and totally impressed by the intensity of flavors and the quality of each flavor! I am a new fan and will definitely be back! Take the time to sample each flavor, the staff are more that happy to give you a sample of any flavor in the shop.

We love the products we brought back home to cook with. Great service, professionals in their craft too!

This is a real gem. The staff is so sweet and kind, and the products are just amazing. It was a warm day, so we ended up (in addition to the products we bought) going for the daily special, a frozen fudge sundae, and it was so refreshing! Not too sweet, and very well balanced with the whipped cream and banana chips. If you like dark chocolate - don't skip this place!

I'm not a huge fan of Chocolate,...well I didn't used to be until I came here, I walked in with a friend and was immediately greeted and encouraged to try samples , as we did! I ended up falling in love with the Loco for Coco bar which is dark chocolate with coconut crisp, I will make the trip back to bishop arts just for this place, btw the bar set me back about $5 , but it was worth it!

I always come to the Bishop Arts when I visit Dallas, and as a ritual, I pick up some chocolate from here for my wife. The chocolates are rich and meant to be savored, I would say not for binging, but they have very creative flavors and pairings, and the staff are always friendly and ready to offer up samples.

The staff was really helpful and nice and you can try different types of chocolate before you order. But honestly the chocolate was not that good...

Dude, Sweet Chocolate was different than your average chocolate treat store. Atmosphere and flavors caters to adults. Multiple unique flavors including one made with goat cheese. They offer samples of any and all of their flavors upon request. They also offer several vegan chocolate too. Those can be hard to find. The Loco for Coco and FDA salami log were my favorite. They made very good vegan chocolate. Not cheap, but worth it for the taste.

Bro it s expensive for sure the thing my friend bought was $12 BUT they give alllllllll the samples you want and are SUPER nice and funny people. Loved the place. FYI this was not a planned trip, I saw it on our way to dinner and decided to stop by and we both really liked the place and left laughing and with very good chocolate. For sure try the Chubby Nuts.
