Truly a remarkable place to visit and to be! Breathtaking collection of flowers and trees and a gem of Dubuque!

Exquisitely beautiful gardens nestled in a world apart from the busy surrounding area. Once through the gates, you will find yourself surrounded by a park like environment, but once you park and walk through the pagoda gate, you cross into some of the most beautiful spaces anywhere. Meandering paths lead you down through tiers of natural rock, and plants, the sound of water falling fills the air. Suddenly you find yourself in a spectacular Japanese garden of waterfalls, bonsai, and koi. Farther up another path finds a formal English garden. Next over 1200 varieties of hosta, a peony garden, a huge rose garden. So much to see, even an edible garden. Many, if not most specimens are tagged with name and species. This is one of my favorite places in Dubuque. Peaceful, beautiful, a place apart.
Gorgeous places. Love the variety of gardens. Easily my favorite part of Dubuque.
Loved it, very picturesque, easy to get around, lots of color and tranquility pond was very nice. I took around 200 pictures of the flowers and statues.
If you enjoy plants, flowers, gardens (several), a lovely walk outdoors; you'll enjoy this area. Very nice little gift shop. I'd say it's a "Must See" if you're in Dubuque. The web site also lists the special events, such as live music on Sunday evenings.
It is a beautiful place to walk out in nature. Well designed and tended.
Great colors every season. Texture variations, scentual experience, beautiful display gardens, well-marked species and interesting evergreen display. Pleasant & well-kept Japanese & English Garden.
All the flowerbeds were beautifully done! Lots of perennials and irises to enjoy and the Pond. Thanks to all the hard work our volunteers have done in a short time! Great job!
Beautiful relaxing place to walk. No pets so couldn't take the pup for a walk.
What a great staff of volunteers! Beautiful area, thank you for all of your hard work!
What wonderful outdoor botanical Gardens free to the public and a great place to just wander around and checkout all the little hidden places around every bend and cove in the water displays.
Nice place to be. I loved the fish pond with colorful fish
Cool place. Lots of areas to visit. Wide variety. Lots of volunteer areas that were fun to visit. Will return.
Beautiful place, nestled in residential area. The puzzle garden is fun to visit and the Japanese garden is so serene and is bringing joy and the feeling of peacefulness.
Incredible gardens and a fantastic experience purchasing a bench for our deceased grandmother. Truly incredible, and we were able to place her bench overlooking the bench dedicated to her own late mother. Thank you SO MUCH for the compassion, consideration, and peaceful trip. Our visit today meant everything to our family, and it was truly.... I am without words.
Beautiful, free, has park for picnic and playground loved the Rose garden need quarters to feed the koy fish
Amazing place, beautiful gardens, hard to believe that this is almost totally cared for by volunteers

Blossoms and fragrance were outstanding! Beautiful lilacs, azaleas and iris
Such a lovely park, and so activity maintained. Entrance is free.
Everyone was nice especially Jack and Betty. Jack was extremly helpful with finding the right tree was the right one for a relative who had passed away. Betty was super kind!
Recommend strolling through the facility, highly recommend.
Worth visiting even in November. The Japanese garden and the conifer garden are well done.
Beautiful place with a great park for the kids. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the scenery. My kids love to feed the fish!
Gorgeous, well kept, the Koi were especially charming.
Beautiful flowers and gardens. A great place if your looking for serenity.
Very beautiful, but apparently if you try to hide a body there it gets discovered quickly. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.
Great place to relax on a cool summer day.
One of my wife's favorite Arboretum's to visit when in the Dubuque area.
Many upon many flower species to behold.
A few short walking trails.
Beautiful landscaping and beautiful plants, trees and bushes
Feeding the fish, playground equipment for the kids, and beautiful gardens for the parents to enjoy...
Beautiful well kept gardens with arbors, trails and ponds
It is a very beautiful place, very well cared for and free
Great place to walk around and enjoy nature. The Japanese garden complete with koi pond is worth the drive.
Looks really nice here. Came all the way from lebanon mo to do a wedding with my limo. Very impressive
Beautiful gardens. We stopped when it was raining and we did not mind at all. It was well worth going throgh the Japanese garden and seeing the Kol fish well.
Beautiful. Very serene and a great place to visit. Great place to bring the family.
Beautiful well-groomed flower beds, hosta garden, English Garden and other areas too! Love the koi pond!! Plenty if benches to sit down and enjoy the beauty surrounding you. After all that walking, stop at the gift shop for some frozen ice cream treats!!
I imagine this place is magic in the summer. Late March, we saw Narcissus and Pulmonaria, and a great big Forsythia. Too many fish in the wee pond, and not enough circulation.
Every community should have a botanical garden of some sort.
Very nice place to visit. It is well managed by volunteers. The areas were nice but overall rather small compared to other botanical gardens we have been to. But that is not a criticism, as we enjoyed our time there.
They keep mowing off the wildflowers. It makes me sad every time I go. I wish they would learn how to recognize and appreciate native plants.
This park has lots of paths for walking, benches for sitting, and the most beautiful koi pond I've ever seen. It is a very peaceful place to be. Highly recommended for everyone!
Gorgeous places. Love the variety of gardens. Easily my favorite part of Dubuque.
You can feed the fish for a quarter or two, bring some pocket change (if you have any during this coin shortage)!
Great place to take the family. Beautiful plants and flowers with some extras as well.
