hi

hi
i broke my thumb and had a really hard time washing & blowing out my hair so i decided to try drybar in brentwood. my hair is real straight and its about chain length, bangs, nothing fancy! i told them how i that i wanted it (like i usually do it) and every time it came out great, sometimes even smoother than how i do it!
i didn't get that it was not clean at all! the brentwood one is totally clean and really pleasant to be in. the staff and the hair people are all super nice and friendly.

The staff was very mean and unprofessional. Did my hair horrible. And when I complained and told her it is not good. She kept asking what s wrong. I told her was ugly and looked really bad. She went over it. But she just wasn t able to. As if she has never done blow out. I swear my cleaning lady would do better job. It didn t even looked like it was done let alone professionally. From the moment I walked in. They were all with attitude and rude. I apologized for saying was ugly then she tried to give me a lesson. She should do her job right and if she doesn t know how she shouldn t work at all. Was awful. Never ever again. Very rude.

Excellent service throughout. Once I entered the location I was warmly greeted. I proceeded to check-in and fore-warned that I had a online coupon for service. The attendant acknowledged this and stated that I could hand in it after services were completed. He then asked if he could help me with a drink. I then requested a mimosa. And although this should be a review about hair care, I must say that mimosa was fantastic!

I waited no more than 5 minutes until my stylist finished with another client. She took me to her station and we talked about what I would get done. She proceeded to walk me back to the wash room which was amazing!! I could just have my hair washed all day long here.

I requested a smooth blow out and that is what I got. I don't like looking at myself on the mirror as my hair gets done so I usually immerse myself in a magazine. Luckily the station I was at had a TV right in front, so I was able to see part of a movie while my hair got done. This made the whole process go a lot faster.

All in all it was great hair service. Sans coupon I would definitely go there again

AVOID DRY BAR, AKA DRYBAR HOLDINGS LLC AT ALL COST...

AVOID DRY BAR, AKA DRYBAR HOLDINGS LLC AT ALL COST! Do NOT go to any of the Drybar locations. I am a costumer who bought a membership under false pretenses. They say it is only $35-$40 for a blow dry but you pay a lot more if you have thick hair, long hair or ethnic hair or hair with waves or any of the above condition. What happens is that they will wash your hair in less than a minute unless you ask for two washes and beg them to spend time washing your hair so that you do NOT end up in the hair dresser chair with dirty hair and scalp! If you do ask now it is considered an extra $10 and its called a floater. If you disagree they have your credit card number on file and they will charge you the extra $10 any ways. Hence lets do the math: $35 blow dry under membership which means an automatic $75 deducted from your bank account once a month ( 2 washes allowed per month). Add $10 more for extra wash that should be FREE any ways, so it is $45.00 then tip $8.00 meaning $52 for your blow dry, is this a DEAL? Also the hair dresser that I met were complaining as they were paid UNDER minimum wage at $9.00 per hour so they have NO motivation to stay at drybar or try hard to please you. Finally the most important part is that the salons are FILTHY! I have never seen any of the ladies grab an anti-bacterial solution and clean the place ever, they take the wet towels from your hair and wipe the place. The front desk have come to work sick with runny nose & Flu and that is my main issue as I was served some tea prepared by the sick employee that had me knocked out sick for 3 months with the FLU. Also in my opinion the Dry bar products are CHEAPLY made and watery and NOT suitable for ethnic thick hair. Unless you have little old lady hair the products SUCK. I personally liked it when they had the Loreal products but as a result of their GREEDY culture that is what DRYBAR is all about they discontinued the products and use their cheap drybar product again to save money. Once you complain you will be faced with a barrage of name calling, threats and membership cancel from their regional mangers like Denyelle Bruno. They do NOT offer refunds, apology or any responsibility for their wrong doings.
What they do is BLAME THE COSTUMER, THREATEN THE COSTUMER AND CANCEL YOU FROM THEIR SYSTEM. DO NOT GO TO DRY BAR! I personally have found out that if you talk to various salons even in Beverly Hills they will offer you the same deal without a membership just to compete and most of these salons have a shampoo girl that will wash your hair and give your scalp attention for a small tip of $2! BOYCOTT DRYBAR AT ALL COST. This is my opinion and my experiences with the DRYBAR through the southern CA locations. BEST of luck

My daughter went yesterday for a blowout & showed ...

My daughter went yesterday for a blowout & showed the stylist what wanted in their photo menu. She is a professional model & knows quite a bit about hairstyling. She was going for loose beachy waves, probably one of the most common, current trends not a unique complicated style.
When given tight banana curls like a 9 yr old pagent girl, she asked the stylist to help loosen them up. No attempt was made to correct, she was told they ll fall out on their own . She suggested, maybe you can pin the front back. NOT what she wanted but trying to make the best of a bad situation.
Unhappy, she proceeded to the register & handed a receipt that included an extra charge for $20 for the 2 bobby-pins and labeled it braids . There was no braiding involved. When she explained that this was to try to remedy the mistake in styling & never told there would be an extra charge. The manager scoffed You re lucky we re only charging you $20 more. We could ve charge $40-50 more for an up-do .
Besides wasting 1hr & $75 + tips (done prior to check out & the condescending exchange) my daughter was embarrassed, upset & had to go home and re-do the mess they made.
The only thing worse than the poor service is the awful attitude. With all the hair salons in town, there is no need to go here.

As another poster mentioned, they do not offer any refunds, apologies whatsoever for any wrong doings. My mother had a horrible experience, she was not happy with her service, and they couldn't care less. Obviously the principle of providing excellent customer service eludes them. Stay away as far as possible from is place, a modern age Supercuts!
