Very unprofessional staff. When we asked if they can hold a date for our wedding, we were given a firm response... "We only hold for a maximum 5 days for everyone". It has been two weeks and they are unwilling to remove a hold which someone else has placed over 2 weeks ago on a day and will not contact this other party regarding their hold. We were wiling to have our wedding and reception at Drury Lane if we were treated fairly... but they pick and choose who they want to work with. Very unimpressed with R**h @Drury Lanes.

The staff is attentive, the inside is beautiful, get there a little bit early to take in the beauty of the inside of the building and enjoy a drink.
The theater atmosphere is amazing but be prepared to spend an evening and enjoy the show, as this was an amazing theater.
I would highly recommend this but consider a dinner show and make a total evening of this.

We went to a matinee to see West Side Story and absolutely loved it with 1 exception! I felt the sexual scenes were unnecessary!! They weren't in the movie and it didnt need to be in here either! I was very disappointed as I knew the 7th grade class at my daughters school had plans to attend the play and the kids were all excited. Then I think an adult went to see the play and said totally not appropriate for anyone under the age of 18. Totally makes me sad as they play was one of the best I had ever seen. Wish they had left the rape and the newspapers through their crotches out of scene. Unnecessary!

Always have a great time at Drury Lane, the Actor and Actresses are great! We ve seen many shows here and are never disappointed. The current show we just seen was An American in Paris and it was a beautifully done production! We will return for more shows in the future.

Thanks

Can't speak to the theatre, but ate at the restaurant while waiting for a conference to start. The food tasted like it was made by a " gourmet food truck". very lacking in well thought out flavor medley. Very much a focus on concept lacking execution. There also seemed to be an incredible amount of confusion amongst the wait staff as we were delivered meals twice that were meant for other tables. Get dinner elsewhere, then head to your show.

Beautiful theatre reminds one of a ballroom with it's high ceiling and grand entrance to the theater, so far the plays are worth the drive to get there (must see 42 street) and the valet parking is free.

I bought my ticket last minute. I had a great seat and really loved Little Shop of Horrors! It's one of my favorite musicals anyway, but this was a stellar cast! The leads were just terrific! I highly recommend the show! A great time!

I went to see south Pacific here. It was simply an amazing experience. The fast was incredible and the pit band was spectacular! I'm definitely going to go back every chance I get. The theater was beautiful and comfy. The view is great no matter where you sit and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Bought tickets for my kids to see Joseph only to find it is a bastardized version with women twerking in fishnet and transvestites. This was not indicated on their advertising. They refused to refund or credit to future tickets. They suggested I take someone else and not my kids.

Drury Lane is a beautiful, Chicago style theatre experience in an easy to get to suburb!!! We LOVED our recent visit to see "A Christmas Carol" which is becoming a family tradition. The actors were great and the costumes were beautiful. My only suggestion would be to put a little more effort into the set. The metal scaffolding was very drab and really took away from what was really a fantastic show!!! Our family loved it and it was a really nice touch to have a brief question and answer period after the performance. The actors did an excellent job of answering the kids questions in the audience!!! I have been here several times with my entire family or just different ones depending on what show was being performed. It is so nice to be able to have close access to such professional shows AND you can also get a gourmet meal if you decide to make a reservation before or after the show you are attending. I strongly recommend Drury Lane if you like the theatre, but don't want to drive all the way into Chicago or pay ridiculously high prices. All of the tickets I have ever purchased have been very reasonably priced. Overall great experience and worth every cent of the very reasonable ticket price!!!

Great.

Went to the brunch buffet. Not a bad buffet. It's no Vegas buffet, but it served it's purpose of adding 5 lb's to the scale. It's on the nicer side - and is probably more popular for its shows than its food.

We've been season ticket holders now for 8 years and an eight years only saw three shows that really didn't care for this last past 2 years has been unbelievable between the actors and the scenery sure beats going down town to Chicago free parking close great places to eat at and oh by the way Drury Lane has a fine dining room if you just want to stay there.

We absolutely L.O.V.E. the Drury Lane Theatre! It is just magnificent! We are Season ticket holders and will be buying 2 sets for the new 2019 Series to bring our grandchildren along with us. They love the Theatre and we couldn't be happier.

My family and I went to see A Christmas Carol and the play was very well done. The seatings are very spacious and comfortable. We also got to meet Santa and take pictures in the lobby. Overall, an incredible experience and will certainly come back again.

My husband and I went to brunch today at Drury Lane and it was amazing! Cameron was our waiter and he was so sweet and constantly checked on us for more mimosas/water. The food as always was amazing and the atmosphere is just wonderful. We were celebrating our 4 year anniversary and will definitely come back again to celebrate more!!

First off, the theater is fantastic...for about 10 years (2010 until the pandemic struck) we saw many shows: The Sound of Music, Young Frankenstein, Camelot, White Christmas, West Side Story, And Then There Were None, An American in Paris, the list goes on and on. Production quality for each and every show was first rate and on par with Broadway in Chicago, with the added perk of free parking..try that in the Loop! We have easily seen 20+ productions and not a single one was any less than superb - I can't say enough about how great this aspect is, though I do wish they would intersperse more dramas with the overabundance of musicals (usually 1 drama per season). We hope the theater will survive so we can return to see many future productions.
Now, the Lucille Restaurant is a different story, and this is unfortunately what brings me down to a 4-star rating. Truthfully, I want to like this place because the atmosphere and service are nice. Regretfully the restaurant has a long tradition of stretching their entree portions to the point that you feel as if you're being rationed. Our last dinner there (February of this year) consisted of a chicken breast that, while flavorful, appeared to be extracted from a Cornish hen. That same evening, the person next to me complained about the portion size on his prime rib. The problem is chronic and has been going on for years. The Sunday brunch, of course, remedies this issue and has a delicious selection, but its not exactly a bargain either.
For the reasons described, Drury Lane is a mixed bag. The recommended way to truly enjoy the place (whenever this pandemic is behind us) is to skip the Lucille, have a great dinner at a nearby restaurant for which there is no scarcity in Oak Brook, and take full advantage of the excellent theater.

Went here to see their new summer cabaret series. The 1st performer is a dear friend so I was excited to see the show and the new space. While her performance was flawless the efficiency of the box office and wait staff left a LOT to be desired. We bought our tickets online and printed them out per the directions. When we arrived with the tickets, with our names on them, they had no record and didn't seem interested in the fact we had paper tickets and proper ID. They made us sit aside while they "investigated" the situation. After some consternation on their part they finally took us to the seats that were listed, which we paid extra for to have a better view!! They did offer to buy us an appetizer as compensation, which they did, but they made us feel as though we trying to defraud them. Once we got seated the server came by and asked about drinks. We asked for some water to start and it took over 10 min for him to return with 2 glasses of water! Then as we were ready to order it took him almost another 10 min to come back for our order. Once he was there we ordered 2 salads and some more appetizers, as you are required to spend and additional $25 per person on top of the ticket price. We specifically asked for our salad to come first. That did not happen. We got all our hot food first. We said something about it when he brought the hot food and the best he could muster was "oh". Now we have zero complaints about the food! The ceaser dressing on the salad was very tasty. It was the proper balance of seasoning and creaminess. The bourbon bacon Mac n cheese was killer. The tenderloin sliders were cooked to perfection and we're as tender as could be. The crab cakes we're also cooked to the perfect amount of crispy on the outside without drying out the inside ingredients. Overall we had a great time. Just thought that for the amount they charged for tickets and then adding an additional $25 person they would be more organized and efficient.

Had our 1st Thanksgiving out.. the place was decorated beautifully! The staff was unbelievable, The food and dessert selection was great. The only thing our party of 12 had an issue with was the food was cold, not even lukewarm. A bit disappointing. I get they make the food in mass quantities, for what you pay per person just wish it would have been warm. I waited for the new tray from the kitchen to come out and it was barely warm.

Company sponsored event held this afternoon that was great, but actual venue (Dury Lane) provided terrible service. Too bad, I will be sure to let my employer know before they book next year. Waiters refused a glass of water and directed me back to the area where my waiters were located, if I could have walked back the long distance I would have. I would have paid for the glass of water, geez, its just humane to give anyonesome water, forget about what my company ditched out to pay for the event. They also made some other folks stand and eat because there was limited seating where we were booked and did not want guests to use the seating for the theater area ( not 1 person there for the theater)....what a shame, let people eat comfortabley and then ask them to move. Never again.

Great service, awesome atmosphere and half the food is absolutely amazing!!! The other half can be compared to a Shooters or OCB. Overall I'd say it's good but there are other comparably priced brunches with amazing food across the board right in that area. They are very accommodating for bigger groups and the coffee might be the best I've had in a while

Absolutely wonderful, family friendly shows with amazing actors. Stage rotated and gave amazing backgrounds to captivate the audience. High tea was the best pre show selection at the restaurant. We had the entree and kept peeking at the other diners with beautiful displays of finger sandwiches and desserts. They have a flat fee special for unlimited champagne if you request prior to booking. Also when arriving no need to rush in early because seating has already been set and staff won't seat anyone till the restaurant is officially open.
