I've gone to them for years and there is only 1 dentist that knows what he's doing. When my dentist cut his days down to 1 day a week, I was handed over to Olson who is heavy handed and very unlikable. The last time I was there Katnik examined me for a tooth ache and said everything was good in my mouth. I went to get a second opinion somewhere else and I had 4 cavitives and will need a root canal or my tooth pulled. This is unexceptable! I've spent thousands in this office and consider myself lucky to have gotten out when I did.

I can't think of a more painful experience in real life than dental work. Notwithstanding that, Olson got the teeth out with a minimum of discomfort and time. He kept the suffering to a minimum. Everything did happen quickly, like a well oiled machine. I didn't go there for a friend, I didn't find one. I did find a competent dentist that did his work with dispatch professionally. Dr Olson is a pro. Bedside manner is just icing on a cake. If that's important to you, tell them that on the phone before your first appointment. I would be surprised if that need was not accommodated.

Been going here for a little over a year and its always been sketchy but continued to give it the benefit of the doubt. However, this last appointment finally gave me a reason to wash my hands of them. Dr. Katnik needs to retire, he yells and screams at his staff, he's not very nice to his patients and he needs to be done/retire already- walk away and let someone else give this place a makeover. His staff is nice i guess but the place is ran like an assembly line, no one knows whats going on. Oh and the furniture is outdated and at the very least needs to be cleaned. The only person I found that knows what their doing there is Carol!

The hygienist are experienced & friendly, Saul in x-rays was very professional and quick! I have enjoyed my cleanings and the tips offered in each visit. Their new and improved office is very comfortable.

I've been a patient of this dental group since the 90's. It is a no nonsense dental group and does the work efficiently and at a reasonable cost.

I think the hygenists do a good job, although I would agree that it is like an assembly line. Among the dentists, I very much like Dr. Gonzalez and would recommend him if you need a crown or filing. About my only gripe is the fact they are still an entirely paper based office, and while that is fine in many cases, the annoying step of having to fill out their patient forms once a year even though it is the same information is a colossal pain in the ass. No one wants to play the scavenger hunt game of trying to remember their 'group number' or other information not on their health insurance card, and they never seem to have your old one, which would at least allow you to transfer the data over. Having all this in a computer and just asking "has your information changed" would make the dentist visit 100% better.

I have been going to Dr. Katnik for many years, and my children. I am impressed how fast the get me to the back. I love all the fish tanks, and staff. I have never had a bad experience, or my children. My son was 4 and needed a filling. They were very comforting to him and he did very well. Every time I go I get a cleaning on top of what I'm there for. I personally have had 2 crowns, and they are over 10 years old and doing great. I am now working to get my husband in. I recommend them. My favorite was they only charged me my deductible, took what insurance paid, and waived the balance. Very helpful on my budget.

Service is very bad, and you cannot find any person in charge for complain
In this office everybody is a boss/in charge and they do not have any respects for the patients
They do not value of patient s time. They charge your insurance even for the job they are supposed to be a warranty. They charge insurance arms and legs.

Dr Olsen is so good. Shots with no pain, they have saved many of my teeth from past dentists. I have sent everyone I know here.

Dr katnik his self screwed my TEETH and put in my crowns incorrectly now I have to have the whole tooth extracted and get a implant put in he also skipped over cavities that needed to be filled until they needed root canal and crown they suck here

a nightmare. customer service is horrible. when in dire pain and need some solution to what is causing my problems, they passed me off to another office. tried to get them to trim a tooth that was puncturing the top of my mouth and not allowing me to bite, they refused. I will be changing providers. told my insurance they should drop them.

Olson is okay, Katnik is an a-hole.

I had some work done from Dr Olson (Dr William A Olson) who works for Katnik and Dr Olson is one of the least-skilled professionals I've ever met in my lifetime. He did a crown for me that looked as fake as a fake tooth can look. It was so bad that Dr Katnik had to redo it. Dr Olson has the HEAVIEST hand on earth and will make you FEEL THE PAIN. I can say this with confidence because I've seen many different dentists in San Diego and around the country and Dr Olson takes the wrap as being the worst dentist ever. To make matters worse, his lack of skill is as unappealing as his condescending, pretentious and disinterested personality. He DOES NOT CARE about his patients but instead will move them right along like a factory because time is money. Stay away from this office unless you enjoy pain and botched dental work and throwing money and time down the toilet. I would pull out my own teeth before ever letting Dr Olson do any dental work on me again.

Very rude customer service from all parties.

Dr Katnik is in the process of selling his practice. You will probably not see him unless you are an established patient. He has farmed out all business to younger, less experienced dentists. Some of these apprentice dentists have very bad "chair side manner." I had to demand a change of dentist after the first was incompetent.

They charge you for not canceling 24 hours in advance.

Yesterday I was there, and although I had 2 injections, I was not numb, and was asked to reschedule for April! They didn't even offer me a cleaning. Also they routinely over-book themselves, so be prepared for a long wait in their terrible lobby chairs.

Don't recommend AT ALL. Been going here for a couple years and was told my teeth were fine only one cavity that needed to be filled. I was told all my teeth were in good condition and nothing but the crown needed to be done. He looked over one of my other teeth that was also in pretty bad state and just said it wasn't serious and put it off. Now I have thankfully moved dentists and have to have my crown redone because it was done so poorly, and now I even need a root canal. I also have more cavities that I was never told about here.

Spare your teeth and look somewhere else.
