Great food, friendly staff good ambience with some quiet areas if you want to chat.
Great food the young girl that looked after us her name is Ann top service
Great venue and food. The medditeraian food is quite tasty and drinks are mixed well (Not watered down). You can actually taste the alchohol. Very clean and modern atmosphere and staff carry a smile on their faces, which is a nice to see.
menu is very expensive for what you get. Our table of 8 is truly not coming for a second time.
Amazing service, we brought a birthday cake and the decorated for us, so sweet. Food was amazing
This a great venue to meet friends or have a function. Water views and delicious food. Only item a bit disappointing was the hamburgers. My visitors did not think that they were up to par .
Otherwise good friendly service and a great venue.
Staff always accommodates for extra seating requirements and go to extra lengths to ensure our experience is up to standards.
Food is nice, although it is priced on the higher side of things and may not be worth it depending on the person, considering similar food is available in the restaurants across the river in the nearby Mordialloc shops.
Saying that, if you are a part of a larger group or interested in utilising the space as a function I would recommend it.
Nice bar, friendly staff, was only there for a drink
Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and view of Mordialloc Creek. Yummy fresh menu and good selection of beverages.
Having tried a lot of places in Melbourne, this has undoubtedly the best salt and pepper calamari in town. It's so tender you will want to come back for more. The prices are quite reasonable too, so make sure not to miss this place.
Great setting and service good but the food was a little ordinary.
Nice meal, pleasant setting. Service was fairly quick. Fish and chips were enough for 2 people to share.
Nice atmosphere great staff and food always delicious. It's nice sitting outside on the deck on a sunny day at Mordialloc.
The views were good, the staff were fantastic, and the food was unforgettable.
Staff 5/5, Ambiance 5/5, Food 3/5, Pricing 2/5. This restaurant is right on Nepean road before the creeks bridge. Parking is available on road and off the side streets. Beach is just behind the cafe. You can sail your boat right to the cafe and walk in for a meal. They also have a pool table for enjoying a game of pool.
Great location. Nice atmosphere. Great calamari and great pizza.
Even though it was cup day and we had not booked, we just had to wait for a little while to be seated.. I am sure if we come back under normal circumstances we would love it even more. Great view, really warm staff..food's not bad either
From the moment we walked in I had never felt so unwelcome to a restaurant in my life. The lady behind the counter didn't say "Hi, welcome, how many for lunch?" instead she asks "Are you sure you want to eat here and not the cafe next door" after we responded yes there was a surprise with a further "really? ok". At this point I couldn't tell if it was how I was dressed (thongs, shorts and wide shoulder respectable looking singlet (respectable for Mordialloc's standards)) or because we arrived and had 3 children with us, all of which were under 4. Not long after us, I notice other customers arrive where one of that group was wearing crocs, which quickly blew my theory, of being poorly dressed, out the window.
Once we finally got seated our hostess, continued to make us feel uncomfortable by manhandling our 2 prams, whilst we were still getting seated. Really awkward tension in the air at this point, considering the restaurant was completely empty at this stage with only one other party there at the complete opposite end. (We chose this place out of the fact lunch started at 11:30, these other places that don't start serving until 12 makes life tricky with a toddler that needs nap time at 12:30.) New customers started to arrive and every other table was being served bottles of table water and glasses, meanwhile we had to hunt around for a waiter to give us a menu.
on the plus side, the food was quite delicious, us three adults all had chicken parma's which were made from real chicken breast and quite thick, the topping actually included ham, which other places seem to forget to include these days. However, for just a parma and some chips at $29.50 with no side salad, it seems a bit rich. The espresso martinin's were quite delicious though and would recommend.
Oddly enough, they have a children's menu which was really surprising (nice pasta, rather than fish fingers and nuggets) and the kids loved it. Food wise the place is quite nice, but none of us had felt that ostracized before, and that feeling throughout the meal just made it difficult to enjoy. It gave the impression this place is trying to be something it is not, and nor should it as its location and food is fantastic and it should cater to everyone, kids or no kids, crocs or no crocs. I understand people have bad days at work, myself included, but I might try again in the future and give this place one more chance before I write it off, and that's credit to the chefs.
Nice but prices are at the high end for a glorified pub.
A nice venue with good views from the bistro and a nice sports bar with pool tables and plenty of screens. Worth a visit.
Enjoyed my dinner here. Doyles has a great view of Mordiallic. My partner and I had the tapas menu. Overall a great experience.
Chilled out cafe by Mordialloc beach. Friendly staff and great outdoor seating.
On the deck...fab atmosphere good food great service
Great new years evening watching fireworks and a light dinner good food and good service
Loved the two guys at the thirsty camel! Think their names were Chris and Tyler.
Great venue. Had no booking and although fully booked, accommodated us and our 2yr old.
Great atmosphere, great food and friendly service.
Our GO to foodie before lockdown.
See you all on the flip side!
The outdoor area especially on a good weather day is a great spot now we can get out and about again. While we have been there before it is certainly a place you return to. Good food, beverages and staff.
Fabulous selection of food. We went the tapas omg yum. So nice to sit outside and watch the boats on a beautiful day
Christmas Lunch. Great ambience, fantastic wait staff and good food. (Even a visit from Santa!) Everything you could want for Christmas Lunch. First time of having Christmas Day meal here, but will be booking again next year for sure! Thank you!
The grilled fish was the best fish I have had for a long time, delicious!
Good food, good service, decent sized servings however some meals were a bit pricey.
We ordered 3 mains and a dessert with coffee.
The mains were just ok. I think we were paying for the name.
The lemon tart was really delicious.
Just Great! good food, good vibes and good ambience apart from it's position on the peninsula.
Breakfast for 8 was great, food was great, service was quick couldnt ask for more
Tables next to the water with beautiful view and good drinks and food. Tried their apple crumble and it was delicious. Very friendly staff and chilled atmosphere.
Generous portions and a huge seafood platter that comes with side salad and chips. They say it's for two. Actually feeds three easily. Cooking of the fish was a bit hit and miss. Would certainly go back again and sample more! Great service though and lovely views.
Good pokies and tab section. Food Is great too. The happy hour has 5.50 schooners as you can see I made the most of that.
Best pub locally. Food and drinks are reasonably priced
I've been coming here for years and never disappointed. Recently enjoyed a delicious girls lunch, although massive food envy that my friend ordered seafood saganaki and I didn't. I know what I'm having next time!
Great place awesome location great food and service
Good food, at times hard to get the attention of staff but they were friendly when servicing.
Good view . decent food. reasonable prices. Good service.
NO STARS! We ordered three meals on Saturday night (September 19, 2015). There wasn't much to choose from, and it was only as we were leaving that we noticed the specials board.
The Pumpkin Ravioli was the only vegetarian meal (even though reading feedback from the hotel management from other reviews that this would be addressed) and was priced at $23.50. the chicken burger was $24.50. When the ravioli arrived, it seemed like an entree size. We called over the manager and asked if this was the entree size. He said it was the main size. I told him that for the money paid it was very small. His response was that no one had ever complained before (this tactic is used to make the customer feel guilty). I explained to him that only 10% of customers actually give direct feedback whilst the other 90% give feedback to friends and on social media without the supplier even knowing there was an issue. The only response was that our concerns would be passed on to the management. In total we counted only four pieces of ravioli.
The chicken burger was just a burger with straw chips. The meat was dry and hard to chew.
Even as our plates were being taken away none of the wait staff asked us how our meal was. We sat there for an additional 10 minutes before we left to pay. The manager who had been approached and talked to earlier, hovered nearby and only approached us after we paid. He said our concerns had been passed on. I told him that the chicken meat had been dry and certainly not of the standard that he purported the restaurant to be. I told him that I had eaten a better quality burger at the Lilydale hotel earlier that week for $10 less. I also asked why he waited until we had paid until he approached us. He said that he had only spoken to us 10 minutes earlier and therefore didn't have time to get back to us. In fact it had been 25 minutes since we had first spoken to him. There was no apology. No offer of compensation or no offer to take our contact details to have management approach us for further input.
I have never met a more rude or disinterested staff. We had offered legitimate opportunities for improving their service and food, but it was dismissed.
Great location sitting out on the deck with beautiful views of the mordialloc river and bay views. Meals were reasonable but on the high side with prices. Service was good and staff were friendly and attentive. Nice place to go for a drink out on the deck.
Second visit and service is consistent my wife had the calamari whilst I tried the slow cooked beef both meals were well presented and tasty.
Nice food but the place looks tired & needs a revamp
Been coming here for absolutely years and quite often order the Tandoori Chicken pizza amongst other things. Always great quality. HOWEVER for the first time ever l ordered the Margharita pizza and l completely challenge that that was pita bread! What pizza dough can you look lift up and look at the inside of l ask? Burnt on the underside it seems it had tomato sauce slapped on it some mozzarella and a couple of bits of basil and baked. I could be wrong but not impressed whatever it was. No more Margherita pizza for me. Certainly wont stop me going just wont order that. However, the view and deck is awesome so 3 stars!
Popular bar and restaurant overlooking the Mordialloc harbour. Friendly and efficient staff. One of our favourites.
We booked the back area for a function and it was perfect for the 30 of us. The staff were fantastic and they supplied plates and cutlery for our cake. The food was great.
Food was decent but nothing exceptional. Prices were slightly over the odds for bistro meals - more like trendy CBD pub prices than suburban bistro. Service was good. Limited number of mass marketed beers on tap.
Pretty great place, it's awesome to eat right on the waterfront. Food is a bit overpriced, $31 for average fish n chips fpr example. Staff were great, friendly and prompt, and food came out quite quickly but that may have been due to it not being overly busy.
Poor service, far too slow for even a coffee when not so busy
Excellent food. Very good service even though it was exceptionally busy.
Pub is very modern bar meals exspensive might as well go to restaurant
Was starting to come here regularly for my woodfire pizzas. They were quality and size of the plate. Now They've made a bad turn and have made the pizza smaller when you eat in though so not my go to any more.
Great al fresco spot by the water serving bistro style meals. The food was great when we visited, and the wine list was quite reasonably priced by glass.
It's view is great and everything is where it needs to be
Great evening out for quiet drinks and light dinner with my wonderful wife ( no kids bonus), tapas menu was fantastic we both enjoyed everything would highly recommend for a quick bite light atmosphere no rush and staff were very good thanks guys
Fantastic fun at Quizzame Quizz night on a Tuesday Eve at Doyle's!
