I am new to the area and new to owning pets. Mandy and Sarah were so kind and welcoming to us and really knew our needs and how to help. I am so grateful for their friendly attitudes towards us today and you can tell that they really love their jobs. Thanks!
We took our dogs to Downtown Hound for three years. Our dogs loved going and for much of the time we had great service from people that really knew our dogs. Then suddenly, there was turnover and the service changed. There seemed to be many different employees, the prices for services were not consistent, no one knew our dogs names and it seemed as if our dogs were in kennels during the day. We now send our dogs to House of Hounds, which has great personalized service, a big indoor and outdoor area and competitive prices. As well as great service for those using the airport.
I spoke with the owner 3 different times to ask about details and arrange a date for a meet and greet, in which she seemed very nice. She said she would call me back to schedule a time and never did! I figured she got busy that day but she never did call me back. I wasted alot of time filling out the form, and talking with her on the phone, only to have it come to a dead end....?? But I found another place that is friendly, professional and alot easier....so I am happy.
This place is amazing every one is friendly and my dogs are always to go. They take amazing care of my best friends!
We love the attention that Hopper gets. And the photos of cuddle times really make it fun when we are out of town and she is on her staycation .
We Love Downtown Hound. This is a boutique style doggie care center. It is the smallest actually in the area that we live in. We love the personal service, and the super friendly staff that feel like family. They are wonderful listeners, and go above and beyond to maintain the health of our dogs. There have been times where my little dog has rolled in something stinky (she does that) and I have come in and they have bathed her for me. They have an Adventure Club (foothills hiking) that my dogs have enjoyed, and we love the Valentine's Day Party!! We come often because the facility is quiet, the dogs are calm, and they are also gently taught proper play behavior. We have been to other centers, and none compare to the kind, and welcoming atmosphere at Downtown Hound.
This place is horrible first of all they charge a lot of money per night and when my dog went there she got bit and then she went back again and she got bit that time also so I would not recommend taking your dog here.
The new ownership has really done their best to improve the quality of care and appearance. Our dog loves going there and all of the employees are great with dogs! Would recommend to anyone!

We LOVE Downtown Hound. The staff seems to truly care about each and every dog as if it were there own. We started taking our two dogs (Simon & Knox) to Downtown Hound in July of last year and they have shown marked improvement in their behavior. Simon used to jump on new people he met because he LOVES humans. He no longer does this and the only thing that's changed is that we began taking him to Downtown Hound.
If you're looking for a place to board or provide daycare for your fur babies, I'd look into Downtown Hound. Good prices, great staff and they're located RIGHT by Anne Morrison!
The staff here are so kind and really get to know the dogs! We have boarded and had our dogs stay for day care and our dogs always come back tired and happy .
We took our dogs to Boise and they couldn't stay in the hotel ( and we wanted to sleep in) so we made arrangements for them to stay here at Downtown Hound. Very respectful of the dogs and the quietest kennel ever! The offer baths, walks by the river and even swims in the indoor pool! Recommended.
The staff at Downtown Hound has a love for my boy like he is theirs. Everytime I drop him off they are so excited to see him and he gives them big smiles. I know he is in GREAT hands for his time there. The facility is ALWAYS clean and the staff is ALWAYS friendly. I would recommend the Downtown Hound over the many other facilities I have tried.
Downtown Hound did a great job of taking care of my nervous dog over the Christmas holidays. Watching the live cam of the dogs, it was evident that the staff spent a great deal of time and effort looking after all of the dogs. Much appreciated.
