This hotel was inexpensive for the area but lacks some of the amenities in newer rooms. For example, I could not find an outlet for computer or phone close to the bed. Overall, good experience, but rooms are not up-to-date.

The remodeled rooms look much better now, but the breakfast quality is not what it used to be.
Packet pickup for Head for the Cure was in a conference room. Staff tart we encountered were friendly. Premises was clean. We passed by a beautiful outdoor garden area that was set up for a wedding.

Team had meeting at location while under construction. Staff was responsive to change needs due to noise and quickly found a suitable alternative. Very much appreciated. Place has been a very busy location and the remodel will be a great update.
We have always been pleased with staying at the Doubletree, comfy bed, friendly staff and close to locations we are attending or hitting the interstate to get there. Would recommend highly! PS Love the cookies!
The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms look recently remodeled and clean. The beds were comfortable as well.
Our stay was amazing! It was for during our wedding. My maid of honor ordered us pizza after the wedding and they had it waiting for us on the room.
Rooms are clean, service is quick and accommodating, bar is great, pool and hot tub are well maintained.
I chose this hotel as the most convenient Hilton property for my business travel. The first night, I was too exhausted to fight with anything, so I fell into the incredibly hard bed. The furnace in the room was SO LOUD I had to turn it off to get any sleep. This resulted in my waking up freezing later that night... When I tried to take a bath, the tub drain plug didn't hold water. I ate in the hotel the second night, the food was just Meh for the price. I did get moved to a different room, which had a moderately better bed and a quieter furnace. I will not be back to this hotel. The bathrooms had nasty dirty tile, peeling wallpaper, and freezing cold floors.

I went for the reptile expo and it was a very nice facility.
I attended a beverage showcase for work and the staff was very helpful and polite. The crew working the catering table were very attentiveand kept the dining area clean.

There was nothing bad about the hotel, but nothing special either. Our rooms were fine. Service was good when we checked-in, but there was a grumpy woman working the front desk one night who was less than helpful when the elevators were very slow (one of three was out of order) and people on the 18th floor were waiting long periods of time waiting for a ride down. They was a lot of construction so they are making improvements for the future. I only recommend this hotel if you get a very good rate.
The staff was exceptional! You couldn't for better customer service. Most notably work Christian , Ruth, and Ali. The facility however was not good. Walls are paper-thin such that a casual conversation could be here in the room next door. The television remote and furnace were not working my I checked in and I had to be moved. The bathtub faucet moved in and out of the wall by merely grabbing it.
I love staying here and not just because of the warm cookie. If you stay here, join the member rewards plan to get special deals. The staff and was friendly and always accommodating. I stay here every time I'm in KC.
Everyone and this place was great. They lost a star when John at the front desk hung up on me because I was upset that my digital key quit working and the girl they sent up to give me a key did not see me sitting by our door waiting. I called my husband to let me in our room.
The lobby and restaurant area are very nice. Very convenient location. The room we had was a bit dated. Still it was clean and quiet. The staff was very nice.

This hotel needs to clean their vents. Everything in my room was dusty. I left my laptop open on the desk overnight and the next day the screen and keyboard had enough dust on them that I had to close my eyes when I blew it off. I was told this place was recently renovated but nothing about it appears that way.

Tower hotel offers few amenities, but great views, fancy environment, and breath taking views. Plus the front desk staff were very friendly.
The drive was not awful. The hotel looked massive and very well maintained. I was there for a friend who was selling jewelry at a pageant. The room was open and it felt homey
Lovely, older hotel. Friendly staff. Lots of room to roam. Indoor pool, nice workout room plus racquetball! Nice bar and restaurant area. Only downside is they have double beds! A minimum should be queen! Convenient to interstate and restaurants.
Nice room, bed is pretty comfy, bathroom is clean. Pool, hot tub and sauna area was clean. Hot tub could've been a little hotter, but I always seem to like them hotter than most people I know. Close to corporate woods so obviously great location for business travelers.
I'm only staying here because my power went out at home but I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend.
I am a huge fan of the Hilton Brand Hotels and the Double Tree Hotel branch is no exception! This particular Double Tree is well kept with an excellent staff. My experience here started before I even arrived with a personal text from one of the staff members Liz; who was expecting my arrival and reminding me of the awesome cookies awaiting my arrival. Now, this may be tied to my status with the chain but nonetheless this is still a very nice gesture.
The room was nice, neat and clean with a stand- up shower (as requested). I couldn't ask for me during work travel trip to the Kansas City market.
If I am back in the area for work, I will definitely be staying here - at the Double Tree. Well done team!

Our dinner at Trofi for restaurant week was very good. The calamari and short rib were stand outs but everything was very tasty. The service was on point.
Friendly staff. Room was as expected. In room Coffee maker did not work well when we chose the 2 cup option. Don't plan on taking a bath in the morning! Could not get hot water for bath. It started hot for about 15 seconds and then turned cold. The bottle of water in the room was offered for $5! Ha!
7th floor, nice room, odd smell but not too bad. Hot water took a bit to actually heat up.
A pretty good hotel in and of itself. Just not very "warm and friendly". When I walk in I don't get a sense of "we're glad you're here". Just rather cold and business like. But still great cookies!
Shower was a bit outdated. There was a spider web connected from the curtain to the chair. Hilton's are not what they used to be.

I was a dj for a event that happened at the hotel the rooms are a little small and there is a manager there that was rude and as soon as the event endedicated at the hotel we are supposed to play music for like 5 minutes after the event but right when it need the manager and his crew just start pushing everyone out and we still had equipment left to pick up. If you try the food there it's pretty bad of what we had there was like no flavor what's so ever and we paid good money for it
It's a nice hotel. The hallways were ridiculously hot but the staff was friendly. The hotel room I was in was a bit dated but very well maintained.

It's been a few years since we last stayed here. I don't think it's been cleaned since we left. Smells like rotten moth balls everywhere. In desperate need of an update. Frankly I'm surprised to see this level of decline from a Hilton brand.
Service was kind and helpful, the rooms are expansive and very beautiful, the building itself is also beautiful. I filmed a wedding there, and the venue was well decorated.

Doubletree hotels consistently offer a positive experience and consistent quality, but this one in the midst of my home base is a favorite. My daughter and I do hotel overnights around the metro area throughout the year as a getaway without going away, and she loves that at this hotel, as compared with the nearby Sheraton, we can get a high-floor room without blowing the bank out on just the privilege of a longer elevator ride.
