We saw the Ronda Rousey fight there & despite the crowd the bar tenders were on top of it. Every time we have been there we have been impressed with the service. Many screens to watch your favorite sports plus who can beat the entertainment of the bucking bull ride!

Two words: mechanical bull. The bartender's drinks are on point. Bull side is where the real fun is. The view upstairs is epic. A great time

This place is disgusting because the security's boss (the ugly guy wearing glasses) discrminated me because of my passport. I was kiked of on july 4th for doing nothing. That guy thinks is Peter Parker becoming spider man because of he gets powers with his security boys. But you are parthetic. The club should fired you cause u discriminate people who speak spanish including tourists as I am.

Loved the place. It was not a roudy, throw your beer bottle as depected in the movie. They do have a life-size poster of Patrick Swayze with a caption which says "Be Nice" they also have a electronic bull which I rode twice. First time was not so good but the second time I went well passed the allotted time for a rider. I would DEFINATELY recommend the Double Deuce to anyone wishing to have a good time

After searching forever for somewhere to eat that wasnt an hr wait but over crowded and chaotic (hello The RONA) we stumble upon this quiet but busy rad little bbq bar and got food to go and a drink while I waited. Low and behold turned out to be some of the best bbq I ve ever had. All the sides included. Very clean and organized and the staff was all very friendly. This was their first night reopen and they re killing it. Definitely recommend 10/10

Double deuce's was a great place to go. If you will be in San Diego, for sure stop by this place. Both DJ's played good music. The dj in the front room let me charge my phone (He was a life saver, I dont know how we would have called an uber with a dead phone.) I felt safe here as they have their security rotating and making rounds and even being great host. The people at the door were welcoming, the lady in the bathroom was nice, the MC was cool, the women at the bull ride sign up was informative. The man controlling the bullride was AMAZING (THANK YOU for making my experience fun and memorable, you deserve a raise). I will be back to Double Deuce.

Double Deuce is okay, nothing special unless you are with a group of people who want to ride the mechanical bull which is pretty entertaining. It's just a weird vibe because it is a country themed bar yet half of the bar is blasting Hip Hop and Rap, which I actually like but just not when I am expecting country music lol

Love the atmosphere, and the service.... yet, I was overcharged on my credit card. I had a $104.50 bill, which showed up on my bank statement as $154.50 I'm not sure who thinks a $50 tip is okay, but I'm getting a hold of the management asap. ...for the record, I always tip cash. So I know this isn't my mistake of poor addition on the cc invoice. Also, why is it that a door bouncer has to "puff up" when checking ID? I mean, come on already. Be courteous and polite, smile and be nice. I'm a big guy, and apparently he thought he needed to show his manliness. My wife noticed too, and rolled her eyes as we went to pay cover. It's this time of bouncer that DOES NOT WELCOME patrons to the bar, and keeps patrons from going back. Your job isn't to look mean and intimidating, but to keep the peace IF and WHEN needed. Grow up, and understand the customers are how your getting paid!

A strange hybrid of a club. One room is country and the other plays hip hop. There is a mechanical bull in their hip hop room. The place has two floors. Fun to watch the drunks get enough liquid courage to ride the bull or get too rowdy and get thrown out. There's plenty of security to control the chaos. While I waa there, they were on it. Popular in the college scene. Definitely worth going back.

Great Drinks and good music, but very rough crowd with yelling and fights. Was there last night, hardly any security. a couple fights and that just kills the fun vibe this place could potentially be, so we left, plenty more fun places to go to in the Gaslamp. If its crowded you'll get pushed around.

In august/september 2009 my two buddies and I were there. Maybe it changed ownership or possibly it was known under another name, not sure, can't remember. Fun crowd, good drinks. We did have to adjust to the "rules" (no drinking on the stairs f.e.) as we were from Europe. Great experience, think of it often. Best thing though was that there were three simultaneous bachlorette parties. Simone (Half Japanese, Seattle) if you read this, how are you? :P When I'm in San Diego in a couple of months i'll make sure to stop by again. Great memories!

This review is just from my point of view...your experience may differ. I went to the 6th anniversary party recently and you would think that a FREE party would yield a 5 star review. I mean, come on....free drinks, free food, faux-gambling AND a mechanical bull! It's weird to say, but I wasn't digging it. I don't normally listen to country music either, but that's not why. I've been to Moonshine Flats down the street and they were bumping those tunes, but it was a surprisingly more comfortable and fun time. I think it had to do with the lighting and the tight quarters. It was hard to find a comfortable place to stand without feeling claustrophobic. The bull is cool and all, but takes up valuable real estate. This was probably the 4th time coming here in the last few years and I never really had a good time....but maybe YOU will.

We have been in this bar the whole night, and while we sang at the karaoke, some girl stole our seats, where our belongings staid here. So when we confronted her she claimed we were speaking rudely, got I confronted so security took her side and we got kicked out. Actions speak louder then words. Doesn t matter how much money you pay, or how nice you are, if you encounter someone from the gaing your bound to surrender so watch out here at Double Duse!

This is one of my favorite bars in downtown San Diego. I love the decor and the amount of space to move around. I also love getting all my drunk friends to try and ride the bull. I feel like I am back in Texas when I walk into this place. The only thing that keeps it from getting 5 stars is the cover. Why do I need to pay cover when I am coming into your establishment to spend money? Makes no sense.

Large crowd. Enough space. Good music. And they have a mechanical bull. Didn't tase the drinks. I'd go again and I recommend if you like hip hop and rap. Dont know if the genre changes based on time of night or day but we went sunday at 12am
