Great atmosphere, simple menu but they know what there doing! Best burger I think I have ever had! #southerner

Pretty good place to eat, great owner, and a great town as well. Definitely a must if you are visiting NE Iowa. Only complaint is that I wish they had fried dill pickles instead of sweet.

My son and I had an awesome experience. The Southern Burger was amazing with the candied sweet potato. I will definately come back and send people your way.

Everything I have had here has been great! From salmon dinner to Mac n Cheese, I love the food and the friendly atmosphere here too.

Great burgers and fries! The decor is unique. I recommend their cheese burger or the bourbon chicken. They make a good strawberry Moscow mule and margarita too!

We were told that the Brisket here was great and - after sharing a plate - we were told correctly. The theme of the restaurant is western, the clientele is local, and the food and drinks are good. We were warned that they may have to switch to cash-only soon.

Great burgers. The restaurant was full on a Saturday night but no wait, they flipped tables fast and always managed to just have 1 spot open when someone came in. The food was excellent but seemed a little light on the spices and salt for my tastes. The drinks were even better, I had what they call a watermelon crawl and it perfectly evoked spring/summer refreshment I was looking for that day. One of the best parts is their specials on certain nights. Date night special, Italian special, taco Tuesday, and they even do Sunday brunch and prime rib on special occasions. They also have a good salad bar, salad and all the toppings and sauces, a few pastas, a soup, cottage cheese, even herring.

Really laid back atmosphere. Some decent beers. Food was a pleasant surprise. They really hit their marks. We will be back.

Cute little quaint bar/pub place in Elgin, TOTALLY not expecting to get a good meal in such a tiny town but Dotzys didn't disappoint. I got the pulled pork and Cole slaw sandwich YUM it was amazing. With homemade potato chips and a great drink. Decor and seating was right up our alley, rustic wood, pullies holding up mason jar lighting... I could go on and on... Only negative would be seating? Not alot of room for guests but is worth a wait or sit out front. Very nice, a must stop.

Followed other reviewers advice and ordered the southern burger, would highly recommend ! Drink menu and atmosphere were great, and the bartender took time to tell us about the history of the building. Awesome visit, will be back!

Food is mediocre and the prices are outrageous. Bandanas they wrap the utensils in are a cool idea for the theme but they feel like they been on someones greasy head for a week.

Great Food. Portion sizes are large. If you go away hungry it's of your own accord. Waitress was prompt and very informative.

A really nice restaurant with lovely people running it. Just wish they would invest in a grill hood to air out the smoke from cooking. It was starting to get hard to breathe in there! I don t know how the staff stand it.
