Although the first installation attempt didn't work, and I had to leave several messages to get a response, I did hear back personally from the original contractor Justin on the Saturday of a long weekend. He quickly came back and resolved all the issues and now the internet is working wonderfully - thank you Justin for your professionalism and response.

He then recommended both Internet and TV packages to meet our needs. Today (just two days later) Kodie came out and installed Internet and TV for us. He was very professional explaining each step he was taking. When he ran into difficulty getting through our brick, he problem solved coming up with a timely solution. Communication is a key for good customer service. It took a week for follow up to reschedule for installation. Atleast it was scheduled the following day after follow up. Installer came within period of schedule. To follow for the internet services comment as it did not work right away after installation

Colin was great, respectful, professional, quick and didn't leave any mess at the house after setting everything up. Pleasure to deal with.

Tyler was great. He was punctual and very helpful adjusting our dish to get better signal. He also came into the house to look at our router and make sure it was working properly.

Excellent installation but unethical in handling disclosure of additional charges. Flat out refusal to accept responsibility of near $500 in extra costs by sales manager and refusal to escalate to the owner.

I would highly encourage anyone ordering XplorNet or Shaw to ask for other options of who to use for the installation and ask about ALL potential charges upfront. Nobody likes surprises.

The installer was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything to us in detail. As someone who does contract work, I was impressed with how neat and tidy the install was. Definitely did a better job than what I ve seen from other companies.

From our communication with Nathan down to Colin who came to install it for us, we couldn't be happier with the customer service so far. Nathan was professional and knowledgeable and his recommendations were on point. He sent us a follow up email so we could review and make some decisions with a no pressure approach. On call back he answered immediately and was able to set things up for us within a few days. On the day of installation, Colin was on time, pleasant, knowledgeable and had some great suggestions on where to do the install to get the best signal strength. He checked with us before making any permanent modifications and took his boots off when he stepped inside. Thank you everyone for your help!

Great experience with installation. Technician (Cody) was very thorough and professional. He set realistic expectations, as well as explained the worst case scenario for my area. He arrived early. He was very positive and set us up with the best possible service for my trailer. I was very impressed! So far the internet connection has been ideal. Tyler was a very personable young man. After he left and I looked around a few issues showed up. He left a considerable amount of foam on my shoreline that I think he should have removed. The cable routing from the Dish to the cottage was not very professional nor was the entry into the cottage. Your techs should also clean up any mess they make inside the house. I would appreciate a call from DOT to discuss.

DOT was great through this entire process. Our installer, Peter, was efficient and courteous. He answered all my questions and helped us test out a couple different locations for our router. We appreciated their service!

Both Peter and Alex (Alex in training ) did a great job with the installation and sorting out the little unexpected issues (like a modem malfunction). They called in advance to let me know when they would arrive, and stayed well into the evening to get all the components working. Great job, thanks so happy to get internet service at the cottage.

We had the worst experience of our lives with Dot Communications. The installer refused to finish the installation as instructed by his employer. Unprofessional right from the person who booked the installation to the installer. Would not recommend this team at all. Had integrated solutions from Peterborough come in and finish the job. Very professional and I highly recommend them. The owner came out and his installer Eric did a wonderful job. Shame on you at Dot Communications.

Had a great experience getting internet installed at our new home. Showed up on time with no rescheduling, the install is clean and was asked where i wanted things which is always nice. Defiantly would recommend.

We wanted to get rid of our landline but didn't have the signal strength to depend on our cell service. We had a signal booster installed today and I can now text message people from my chair without waving the phone around over my head! The installer, Kodie, gave me several options and we took the one that worked the best for our situation.

Outstanding service!! Colin was our installer for a challenging boat access property. Colin went above and beyond to ensure we had successful and reliable line of site coverage to the Xplornet tower in Minors Bay on Go Home Lake. The lot was very challenging, but he walked the entire property several times over, trying different locations for almost two hours. Took countless trips up and down the roof to ensure the best coverage. Colin was very patient and driven to ensure this installation was successful - here I am typing this review on our newly installed cottage Wifi! Very happy customer, outstanding service tech! We d been having issues with our Xplornet Service. A subcontractor came a couple of weeks ago from another company and didn t fix the issue. Colin, from Dot, came yesterday resolved everything for us. He definitely knew what he was doing and was very pleasant about it. He wasn t in a hurry to come up with a make do plan as others in the past have been. He was thoughtful as to what would make the most sense to fix our internet issues for good. Highly recommend!!

Colin led the installation team that came to my boat access cottage to install the Xplorenet LTE. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He was able to advise me on the best options for locating the antenna and the router. He took extra time to work with me to assess how to minimize the visibility of the cable outside the house which I greatly appreciated. I was completely thrilled with the installation once the team arrived and completed the work efficiently and effectively.
However, the team did arrive 90 minutes after the 1-4pm window, which I would have been with if only the office had kept in touch and told me whether the team would be coming for sure as I was planning to leave the property as soon as the job was finished. I reached the office once and the person said they would check in on the team's whereabouts but never called be back and did not pick up when I called several times to find out if I should still expect them even after 5pm. The communications at the office must be improved.
But Colin and team were great! (And very courteous about parking their truck so as not to inconvenience any of my fellow cottage owners).

Ryan installed our tv satellite and internet at the cottage this past week and he was great. Answered all questions and was very professional with regards to the COVID19 protocols.

Today we had Alex as our internet installer. The BEST service we have ever experience from any internet or internet installation provider. He was very polite, respectful and knowledgeable. His work is done in very professional manner, clean and neat. It was obvious he takes pride in his work. He completely respected all safety precautions in place due to Covid-19. And did the job exactly as we wanted. When calling to make the appointment, we spoke with Chelsea. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the services. She provided all the information that we needed to make our choice much easier. She was able to provide us with a service appointment for installation that worked with our schedule, in very professional and timely manner. The service that both Alex and Chelsea provided, made the entire experience excellent from start to finish.

This is my honest review praising DOT Communications. DOT's technician (Cody) has done something no other Tech's from the other company was not able to do and that is connecting me to Xplornet's LTE service and got me off satellite. In the Ramara & Kawartha Lakes Ontario area this is the company to call upon for your communications requirements. They will go above and beyond to get you connected with the best service possible wherever you are located!

Just had Xplornet installed at our property over the weekend. Couldn't have been more happy with the level of service; very professional and helpful technicians and booking staff throughout the entire process. Wifi and phone service are working great! Would highly recommend.

Technician was knowledgeable but promotes purchasing their $150 router for better wifi coverage. Terrible router and found out later it retails for $49.
