Contacted Dot Communications for satellite TV install during COVID. They came within a week of me first contacting them. Provided a 2 hr timeframe for the technician to attend and they arrived at the agreed time. Install was perfect, dish, wiring, and hardware was set up without any problems. Service was great throughout.

DOT Communications was great! Quality workmanship and very quick at installing. Had them install Xplornet LTE Internet and couldn't have been happier. Xplornet service may be less than stellar every now and again, but these folks held up there end of the bargain. 100% would recommend.
Cody did a great Job. Cody and Dot communications explained everything clearly. It was a water only access install and DOT communications were the only company who would service this request in our area.
Peter was great. He came to install our Xplornet. He explained that we had a tree that was blocking our access. Once we had the tree cut down, he returned promptly and installed everything. Very thorough and professional.

Options for internet service in cottage country are limited. We tried a competitor's service that used cell towers, but the signal was too weak and inconsistent, and the internet speed was much too slow. Xplornet's satellite internet service is the best solution for our location. The speed is reasonable for cottage country (10 Mbps download and 1 Mbps for upload), and the WiFi signal is strong throughout our cottage. Our technician, Alex, spent several hours at our place installing the satellite dish, cabling, modem, and router. At each step, he explained the options and the pros and cons of each, ensuring that our dish was placed in the best location possible. I highly recommend, especially in rural areas and cottage country.

Excellent customer service from my initial phone call for information to the installation a week later. Service technician, Peter, was friendly, arrived on time, treated the install as if he was doing it in his own home. He appeared to know everyone in the area and took a few moments with each to make sure they were still satisfied with the Company. This guy deserves a raise.

The service from them 5 star . Cody should be a trainer for you guys and have him train new guys even maybe some of the other installers. He s so polite and explains everything to you and takes his time with you. He found the problem right away that I ve been having and the other three guys out here didn t even explain anything to me and they never found problem they said so they moved it that was it. From my first inquiry through the website I received a voicemail 15-20 afterwards from Lance and a follow-up email to find out how he can assist and what would be a good to talk. I called him the next day and his professionalism and courtiousness was nothing but excellent.
He assured me he would get a tech out there within a few days and they will confirm the exact time 1-2 days prior.
2 days prior I received an email confirming the tech will be there between 2-5pm. The Tech actually arrived around 1pm and he was fantastic to deal with, he was fast, professional and was very careful and courtious when entering the home.
Overall, my experience so far with Dot Communications (Xplorenet) has been excellent, as I said nothing byt 5 Stars!

What a great experience with DOT Communications! We live on rural property and the installation crew climbed to dizzying heights to install our high speed. To top it off the signal was extremely hard to find. I am very happy with the strength of the internet that we use for both Netflix and working from home. I wish the service was more affordable though as it's more expensive than Rogers for a slower speed.
