Doornroosje Review

Visited here for the first time last weekend. Really a super cool location! Great show and top sound. I look forward to the next time!

Beautiful concert hall.

Great venue, great sound quality. Halls are large enough for it not to get overcrowded. The stage is well lit as well. My only complaint is that if the floor gets wet, it is quite slippery at times.

Acoustic is right. Atmosphere and decoration are good. Cloakroom and bar: also great.

Little bit unclear where everything was. Music quality, drink prizes (and quality) and free garderobe are great though!

Order a bottle of beer from Hertog Jan, also good sound and lighting

Top room with nice programming. Concerts always sound great here. Nice and close to the stage and very conveniently located with parking garage and public transport within walking distance. Sold out performances does not mean that the packed is full, but then there is still sufficient freedom of movement.

Beautiful hall, but at marco the boxes were too close to the edge. sometimes hurt your ears.

Great musical selection, free coatcheck and friendly staff. But please dont stuff so many people into the main hall for concerts!

Quality and good line ups. Good programming all year round

Compact concert hall with an intimate atmosphere. Although it is quite tight on some items, the staff arranges their audience well, for example when picking up the coats at the cloakroom a passage was arranged neatly. The prices of the drinks were also okay. Not too high, not too low, just what you can expect from it. However, what we found less about the concert hall was the sound. This was really too loud at our concert, so you could no longer clearly hear what was being sung. This was also not corrected during the concert, so if this is 'normal' at concerts in this concert hall, we will unfortunately no longer use this location ourselves.

Good programming. Particularly in the area of metal bands! The small room is also very cozy with good sound.

Best tent in Nijmegen and surroundings. Those 5 minutes in a row are completely worth it.

When my wife suddenly became ill during the performance of Mandolin Orange on 11-5-2019 and threatened to faint, the young team of Doornroosje responded immediately and we were able to leave the room without having to go through the crowd in the dark wringing. Strikingly nice people. She is now doing well again. Thank you Hans and Yvonne from Geldrop.

Spacious and yet an intimate room, well-arranged and with enough bars. The location is also ideal. Enough parking places and central station nearby.

Nice location, centrally located. 1 minute walk from cs

Black box with good acoustics but little atmosphere.
And hopeless handling of the wardrobe after the concert. Even if you only wanted to go outside there was no way to get through.
Solution: go to a concert only in the summer.
Overall 4 stars but that's only because of the acoustics.

Location is fine but also because the Claw Boys Claw concert was great again.

Shinedown & Halestorm in Manchester Arena = almost CD quality
Shinedown in Sleeping Beauty = pain in the ears due to reflections and very bad sound.

Nice atmosphere, next to train station, no hassle with coins, wardrobe is free

Lovely place, just a pity that there are only smoking facilities.

Due to circumstances I was in a wheelchair, but would like to indicate how very good it was arranged for the disabled visitors! Super!

Sleeping Beauty is an excellent place for smaller parties and shows. Not always pleasant in terms of atmosphere and experience, but the layout (of rooms and facilities such as toilets and bar) and the sound more than make up for that. I like to come here for techno parties, but I also had nice evenings at other shows.

Sleeping beauty can be easily reached by public transport, train station is just next door and parking is also close by in the Karel Karel car park

Suuuuper store for concerts !!! Small but somehow really big

Of course not comparable to the old Sleeping Beauty in terms of atmosphere. Sound quality is super and the visitors are also very nice. When an event is sold out it is too busy. It is also busy at the toilets, and security sometimes takes a prominent place.
Good value for money. Nice and good quality performances.

Tickets bought, but can not go inside because the straps were empty. Nobody who took responsibility to solve it. After 40 minutes of waiting, I left.

Top location. Easily accessible, smooth operation. Solid sound, good concerts. Will visit again
