Great food, great service from Jordan H. Also fabulous sports memorabilia. A must visit to this older style but fabulous place. On a Thursday the place opened at 5 and was packed with a lineup by 5:30. Need I say more?

Truly an amazing experience. The staff is the best I have ever seen the food was amazing. I would suggest this to anyone that likes steak and/or is a baseball fan. The vallet was super friendly and took very good care of my car. In fact from the moment I got there it was truly an experience of luxury.
Every meal has been a pleasure, don't skip on the chopped liver.

Say it ain t so! I heard it was closing down but when last there was told it was downsizing. I go several times a year. Everything I tried was spot on delicious. Steaks, ribs are probably the most popular. Friendly, prompt service and the big hook is the wall to wall, ceiling to ceiling sports memorabilia. Babe Ruth ball is there among many others. Reservations are a good idea. Probably the craziest most Funtime is Cactus League. Last year the table next to us was 5 San Francisco Giants ! Very cool.

My friends and I rented the back private room for a bachelor party this past weekend. The Don & Charlie's staff was overly accommodating and nothing but professional despite our sometimes less than professional behavior. I was very impressed with the steak, especially the way it was prepared (crispy outside, pink inside). I had a hard time connecting with the event planner for the weeks leading up to our arrival despite multiple calls, voicemails and emails. At the end of the night however, I don't think we were charged for every drink we ordered so we were very pleased with the overall experience. I would recommend Don & Charlie's for a group like ours in the future.
Great atmosphere and really cool baseball memorabilia. The waiters are top notch, not to mention the steak was INCREDIBLE! I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a great steak appetite
It's been a while since my wife and I visited and ate there's it's still by far the best restaurant in Arizona 5 star's is not enough for this place 10+ star's we'll coming back this year
Out for a nice dinner with my husband for our first time in Scottsdale and chose this restaurant! Right away loved all the sports memorabilia! It was busy, but still had a short wait (the place was surprisingly large).
The service was not great, the person bussing the table seemed way more concerned with us than our server. Two tables next to us seemed to be the most of the concern for the staff (must have been an owner or some one of importance).
Our steak was OK, fairly overpriced for what it was. The chicken strips were very good. My steak was cooked decently but seemed to be not great quality. It was an interesting place to check out, wish we had maybe better service and better steak for the cost.
You'll never see all the sports memorabilia in 10 visits. Filet Minion was very good, service was terrific. Had the Hot Fudge Sundae to close out the night.
CJ gave us a fantastic experience! Our steak, salads, baked potatoes and dessert were all wonderful. I'm excited to go back any try something new.

Absolutely unbelievable sports memorabilia on display. Very tasty American fare, ribs chicken, burgers, etc. Sorry to hear they will be closing to make way for a new hotel. Hopefully they will find a new home for all of the amazing memorabilia

The 20 ounce Rib eye was really good. Very tender and lots of flavor, but my favorite is the hot fudge Sunday.

Fairly expensive for a middle of the road food experience. This is my second visit and will recommend the steaks, but I've certainly had better at a much much lower price. I may be alone in my experience as the place is completely packed each time.
A gold brick for dessert is the best after a "rare" prime rib.
We ate here twice during our four day trip. Love the food and the baseball stuff. I am definitely coming to back for another meal as soon as I am back in the area.

This is a truly special dining experience. Great attentive service, a nice menu and nicely prepared and presented food. We enjoyed the ravioli, mussels , prosciutto & melon.

Had an amazing time at Don & Charlie's this week. It was my first experience here and had no complaints . Unfortunately, I heard that they are tearing it down around June of 2019 ! So if you have not been there yet , you need to experience this amazing establishment.
Went there for a Birthday celebration and our server spoiled the whole dinner. I was brought a basically raw piece of salmon and when I asked him if this is the way they always served it, instead of apologizing for it not being prepared right, he just said, "oh you want it cooked more?" All other eight people in the party were finished with their dinner's when my food came back. Everyone thought him extremely rude. A Birthday ruined. I'm not one to skimp on a tip so I tipped him like I would any other, but he in no way deserved it.

If you are looking for a great steak in a relaxed atmosphere then this is it. Fantastic food with amazing service. Sadly it will be closing in May 2019.
One of the best restaurants in Phoenix/Scottsdale IMHO. Everything is great, you gotta get the ribs they're great. Make sure to get the au graten potatoes, they're amazing! If you have room left you gotta get the creme brulee!

Great Garlic New York steak. A destination you have to go to if you're a sports memorabilia fan.
We had a wonderful dinner! New York Steak and the Duo Filet were perfectly cooked. The wait staff was also super terrible with young kids. I will go back again.
This place has been overrated for years. Only went because it was the Mother in law's birthday and that is where she wanted to go. The ribs were dry, tough and slightly warm, the chicken schnitzel was also dry and flavorless.
The good news is that I won't have to come back for at least another year. Lol..

Known for their ribs and for good reason, they are great. I like them "Don's" way, charred. However if you like coconut shrimp, they do it really well here.

This is a $$$$ restaurant. For that price, and with a reservation, one would expect to be seated upon arrival. Especially if within a minute or two of reservation time... not made to wait until others made it through traffic to complete the party. It is purely a Sports Bar and memorabilia location with high priced, but good food. Not where one would go for a quiet relaxing dinner with close friends.
This was an amazing Chicago style steak house. The food was perfect every time. The service was on point. Unfortunately, Don & Charlie's closed as of the 10th of April. From what I've read they are going to build a boutique hotel on the property and might have a Don & Charlie's in there. It is sad that this is happening. A truly authentic and scrumptious establishment is leaving, and another hotel in Scottsdale is being built. This is a restaurant that cannot be replaced, replicated, or duplicated. Don & Charlie's will be missed by the entire Arizona community and everyone who traveled near and far to enjoy. Good bye Don & Charlie's.
No question, the sports memorabilia atmosphere is the most impressive I've ever experienced. The wait was too long to get in(Sat nite), especially when you see how many seniors are standing around. Too bad there is not some seating for the long wait. Valet parking should be free at these prices. The ribs are awesome! That liver pate and eggs before the meal is a big disappointment. They need an alternative to that! Plan on dropping between $35 and $50 per person seated by the time you are done.
Terrible. When I order a $40 plate of food I expect it to look and taste like a $40 plate of food not a third rate meal found in a hospital cafeteria. If I could give this review a 0 I would.
Wait staff excellent! Drinks were perfect and the prime rib was succulent! Exceptional quality and service and a memorable experience.
Great spot for baseball fans, all kinds of memorabilia and really interesting to look at.. the food is simply amazing! I had the short rib and it was fantastic, large and on the bone, melt in your mouth goodness. Great service too! I definitely recommend this place.
