I highly recommend Don Amott if you're thinking of buying or exchanging your caravan.
We were looked after by the lovley Claire (Peffers). I felt I knew her due to the fantastic videos Don Amott provide, previewing your new caravan/motorhome.
Anyway, Claire quickly assesed what are requirment would be for a new caravan model, we were quite open to suggestions but really wanted to broaden our horizons. We certainly did, we looked at 9 different models and Claire really talked us through the pros and cons for us as a couple and asked about our lifestyle, where we go, what we do and was so thorough! We found our dream caravan.
Claire amazingly managed to get the turnaround on our new caravan in record time and we were soon away on an adventure.

We found a great selection of motorhomes, but we'd decided on an Auto trail Corinium FB. Steve showed us round, and we dicided to buy. Steve has kept up continuous contact, throughout the process, making sure we had the extras we'd ordered, and a smooth transition from servicing and getting the motorhome ready for us to pick up.

We had to return motor home for a call back for solar panel back to workshop they did it in no time very friendly and professional, by the time we went for coffee and bacon sandwich it was done , We bought the motor home 12 months ago off Richard and was the best thing ever . Thanks Don Amott

I decided to sell my 2017 motorhome, so I contacted Don Amott Leisure via an online application form. I recieved a telephone response within a day. A provisional price for purchase was agreed and an appointment made to view the vehicle. Two representatives of the company arrived and proceeded to make their assessment. As I had suspected there might be, damp was detected and therefore the offer price was lowered a little. I felt that it was still a very fair price and accepted. Everything was undertaken with the minimum of fuss and complete professionalism. I realise I might have achieved a higher price by selling privately but selling to Don Amott took all that hassle away. Vey impressed with the whole process.

We bought a CamperKing conversion from Don Amott, Derby in January 2020 just before we were locked down with Covid, so unfortunately the van was used twice. Since lock down the van has been used about another 14 nights, meaning the bed has been pulled in and out those times. Last week we were away on a trip and the bed broke, the rails on the bed have broken completely with pieces falling off (ball bearings) meaning the draw runners are broken it will now not move at all, meaning our holiday had to be cut short. Upon contacting Don Amott who contacted CamperKing they were not prepared to do anything not even meet us half way in the cost of a repair. Or even an offer to remove the broken bed as a gesture of goodwill, but a cost was suggested of £90 an hour!! I would not recommend their conversions at all as most of the accessories they use are very poor quality and there is no customer service after at all. Thank you

Recently bought a Transporter Camper King and I can't explain how over the moon I am with the van! The Salesman Mark was amazingly helpful during the whole process, and the complete no pressure sales was so nice, never remotely felt pushed to make the purchase. Nothing was too much work for him to do for me. The shop is amazingly well stocked and at a great price!

Will 100% be back here for any needs I have!

Not much on the caravan front. Does no sell new caravans . Only a few used caravans . Predominantly motor homes. With some static caravans .

If you want a camper van motor home or caravan they have plenty to choose from.
The shop has a fair range of equipment

Despite the current restrictions, still worth while the visit and just look around or get some quality plants and /or accessories for the garden. Looking forward to be able to seat and have a coup of tea!

I get the feeling that all they want to do is sell you goods.... the after sales is atrocious..... I bought a Bailey Autograph from them from them and had many problems with it .... I feel they were not really bothered about my problems with it and took a lot of time to rectify my issues ,one particular issue just after I got it took nearly 5 months to rectify.... on a good note Andy and his team were very helpful in the accessories shop

Fantastic service through the sales process and after sales was top notch too. Claire went the extra mile to get us the motorhome matching our needs. Highly recommended.

Sold them my Lunar caravan. Caravan collected & money in my account all within a within a couple of days. Paid the price as offered on the phone. Great service.

Contacted the shop regarding a new awning. Got through straight away which is rare when ringing caravan dealer accessory shops.
Spoke to a chap who was exceptional in his knowledge and customer service skills.
They put a super deal together and the price was great and delivery was included.
Enquired on Saturday, ordered Sunday, delivered on Tuesday by courier.

What more can I say.

Staff very good but overall service very poor. We have done a round trip of 100 miles and when we get there for repairs etc they have the wrong parts. So have to re order again

Disappointed with the amount, or lack of, used caravans. Not quite a Leisure World, as they say, unless you want to spend a lot on a motor home.

Very nice place to visit. Couldn't find anything in our price range but nice to look around none the less.

A vast variety of vehicles both new and used. External covid 19 precautions are not very good or, no hand sanitizer and no cleaning when others have viewed inside a vehicle

I picked up my Motorhome at the beginning of October 2019, ( this vehicle was only 2 and a half years old ) They did not carry out a PDI on this vehicle before i picked it up, hence quite a few snagging problems I then had to wait OVER 3 months to have these problems rectified, one of the problems was the leisure battery which they replaced , then the cab battery was faulty ( Late February 2020 ) which they have refused to replace , When you are told this vehicle has a 12 month warranty , you do not expect to be paying out for faulty items within that period. So overall not very happy with there very poor after sales ,

Took delivery of our Autotrail Frontier Delaware last week. I can highly recommend Don Amotts. All the staff from Claire in sales to Tom at handover were extremely helpful and informative. If you want a motor home or caravan this is the place to go. If they don't have it you probably don't need it.

We are in the process of deciding which kind of motorhome we want. We travelled over 100 miles to this place, only to find that all the vehicles are kept locked. You have to go and ask someone to unlock the vehicle you want to look More

Have used 'The King of Caravan's' aka Don Amott Leisure Kingdom for some years now but never thought to leave a review but here I am leaving one now. What can I say? Andy the manager of the spares/accessories has always been very helpful and has an excellent stock/product knowledge, he is always friendly to those that visit the shop. Of late I've also had some dealings with Ash in the spares/accessories, obviously cut from the same cloth as Andy, very helpful, again excellent stock/product knowledge and like Andy he's always friendly. I had a problem of late, the quality of some of the goods of a manufacturer not being the best, Ash identified the problem and resolved the issue in double quick time.

It can at times be a precarious business when coming to purchase for your second home (caravan/motorhome) the choice is vast so it really does help when you have quality staff able to help. Don Amott should know that in these guys he has a couple of gems

As for the shop itself, it's well stocked, has a good selection of items, prices are competitive, premises are always clean and social distancing observed.

Why leave this review? because sometimes recognition for exceptional service needs to be recognised.

Excellent - very professional, nothing was too much trouble, the sales people were amazing and so helpful. A great selection of motorhomes. We would recommend Don Amott to anyone.

I recently bought a new Motorhome from Don Amott at Hilton Derbys. There was a small problem post sale but credit to Don Amott they resolved it to my complete satisfaction within days. Exactly what you would want from a dealer, I would highly recommend them.

Update - 15 months later I have bought a bigger Motorhome from Don Amott. Another great deal including an easy trade-in.

The shop assistant was totally unhelpful. Everything was too much trouble.

We had travelled many miles and visited alot of caravan dealers, as we wanted a used touring caravan. We had saved and saved and wanted the perfect caravan. We found ourselves at Don Amott. The caravans were locked other dealers leave them open, I preferred this because the vans are clean when you view them (no muddy footprints) there were plenty of sales staff around so I didn't have to go and find one. All have brilliant knowledge about all of vans on the forecourt and the advice was perfect and we found our van. There were some bits that needed fixing and the van was fixed. I would advise and recommend anyone to purchase a van/ motorhome from Don Amott. Thank you to all of the TEAM! Big pat on the back and a big thank you

Huge amount of caravans and camper vans for sale. A good sized camping accessories shop with friendly helpful staff.

Exceptionally courteous and helpful staff came to offer assistance when my wife stumbled and fell, including First Aid trained person and management. One very kindly offered to move my car close to the retail shop area in order for my wife to access the car more easily; it was a kind and we'll meant gesture that we accepted gratefully.
In store, more helpful staff indicated the item we needed and we were ready to go with our purchase in no time at all.

Well looked after when I had problems with my air awning. They went above and beyond to make sure the weekend I was away with the grand kids and an up coming hol to Somerset would not be ruined

Good selection of vehicles but, unlike other similar venues, unable to browse interior of vehicles without asking for keys - and sales staff. However, there was no pressure from sales at all but myself and my wife like to look and discuss alone prior to seeking the knowledgeable sales team.

What a warm welcome we received and all we wanted was a replacement canister of patio gas, the staff in the store couldn't have been more helpful. A real pleasure to visit.

Caravan, static and motorhome sales on one very accessible site. Showroom exhibits latest models to look around. Cafe rest area on site not far from large parking area. Firm specialise in mainly new vehicles with some used on offer. Vehicle servicing garages on site.

We bought our new motorhome from Don Amott in September and cannot praise Claire enough for her helpful, charming manner. (banter included) someone who obviously enjoys her job !! it was a smooth process from start to finish. As you would expect with a new vehicle, we have had some minor teething problems but these have been sorted out in a timely and proffessional manner by Luke .We have bought many items from the well stocked shop and return on a regular basis. Ben the sales guy was more than helpful throughout every stage of the sale. We have had a few minor problems since buying and the after service is unfortunately run by a jobs worth who know regulations but lack appreciation of the word customer. Avoid

I found Don Amott staff very friendly and helpful. We are new to motorhomes, although we have been looking for quite a while, and we knew, or thought that we knew what we wanted. Maria was very helpful by telling us all about the differences between each style of motorhomers, we were then able to make a decision on what to buy, until then we were not sure what to do. The cafe on site is very nice and clean, the shop has everything you need and the prices are competitive. Thank you Maria, we hope to have many years of happy holidays.

Good sale service very bad after sales service in fact discussing and after sales workmanship despicable.

Just had an email telling us that the storage where we keep the caravan will as well as the shop and sales will close on the 18th December, which is great for there staff but we have booked to go away for xmas and now have to cancel because we can not get our caravan out from them disgusted to be honest.

One of the best caravan accessories places I've been to. I emailed to enquire about a product I needed and got a reply straight away which in itself is unusual. They checked stock and informed me they had it and the price. When I arrived instore the staff were very helpful , knowledgeable and courteous. Will definitely be using them again and would recommend to anyone.

High prices for rust buckets, higher prices for premium. No deals found. Help was retroactive.
