Work was done right first time. Staff were friendly, courteous, and professional. They paid attention to the details from taking off shoes to thetinsulation work to cleaning up thoroughly before leaving. Selected them for MasSave energy efficiency work based on the reviews of others. Highly recommend them, but for sure don't leave it to MasSave to randomly pick a contractor.

Dolphin Insulation, Inc. was contracted through the MassSave program. As I did not know any insulation companies , it was a blind choice.

That being said, I cannot state highly enough how impressed I was and continue to be with the level of professionalism and follow through from all parties I communicated with. From Amanda at the office to David, Troy, and their team on site, the level of professionalism was outstanding.

Amanda communicated with me with updates, changes, and any other information. David , Troy, and the crew worked non-stop to get the work completed in under 3 compete days. They were communicative of the process, respectful of keeping the house as clean as possible, and always left the site as neat as possible for the next day's work .

If I were to need insulators in the future (new home), or if someone were to ask me, I would have absolutely no reservations recommending Dolphin Insulation.

These folks work hard to provide a high level of service. After an energy assessment recommended that we have our crawlspace sealed and re-insulated, Dolphin provided a competitive proposal and completed the work within a few weeks of receiving a deposit. The team seemed to enjoy each other, and the leader made sure they took breaks since they were working at a fast pace and it was hot out. Removed dirty insulation and cleaned up afterwards. Answered my questions fully. Intend to use in the future.

I can't say enough good things about Chris, Amanda, and all the great people at Dolphin Insulation. I came to know them while managing a home rebuild project for the Schultz Family in Stow. The project was a donation based effort to replace a home that was overcome by toxic mold while the family was attending to a devastating health situation involving their young son. The house could not be salvaged and had to be torn down.

Chris and Amanda stepped up immediately upon hearing of the situation and (working with their vendor partners) offered to donate all the labor and materials required to insulate the new home. It was especially important to the Alphin's that the house be built in a way that the mold situation could never happen again. In addition to the generous offer, Chris brought a level of insulation expertise that is unmatched in my 35 years in construction. In fact, Chris knew so much about his industry and the cutting edge materials available, I called on a trusted building envelope consultant, Neil Rouleau of Building Restoration Services, to help me sort it all out. Neil confirmed that this was a state of the art and extremely generous offer.

The praise doesn't end there. In my years in the industry, I've come across a lot of people who talk a good game but fail in the execution. Nothing could be further from the truth here. The installation crews were experienced, hardworking, and great to work with. Given the donated nature of the project we had times when the work flow had to be rearranged. They reacted like true professionals and did whatever it took to get the job done. And they left the jobsite cleaner than when they arrived!

Again, I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed working with Dolphin Insulation, and what quality people they are to do what they did. Look forward to working with them again.

They were very flexible working to our schedule and arrived despite it being a snow day. They chipped in clearing the snow and dug their way in to carry out the work. They returned at a later date to finish the work which couldn't be completed due to snow on the roof. 5 out of 5 for being friendly, efficient and flexible.

We had a great overall experience with Dolphin! From the very first phone call to your facilitation with MassSave to the thoroughness of the work and the downward adjustment of our cost at the end because there was already batt insulation in 2 walls. It was a great streamlined service and I'd highly recommend them.

Air leaks & poorly installed fiberglass & blown-in insulation in attic space over bathrooms, air leaks under floor of over-hanging sunroom, and improper installation of a storage floor in the attic. Attic issues trapped moisture from bathrooms & living spaces causing fiberglass insulation to be wet, blocked attic vents prevented air circulation, so compressed, wet insulation & OSB used for storage floor became wet, moldy & damaged. I have a severe mold allergy, so it was important to find someone who could fix the issues, prevent them from recurring, and prevent contamination, as much as possible, to our living space. Of all the contractors we consulted, Dolphin was the only one that seemed to know exactly what to do, and how, and didn't tell us "you'll have to find someone else to do mold remediation before we'll do anything" or "we can save you $$ and just dry out the old fiberglass, and spray some disinfectant on the OSB flooring and reuse it, you'll be fine". From the start, everyone at Dolphin - office team, the project consultant, and the crew at our home - was professional & demonstrated extensive, current training in all necessary areas: building environmental issues, energy conservation, and construction. Dolphin offered extensive information about all the products and techniques they used for our project, too. They kept us posted on schedules, work plans and progress at every step, and the exact same crew did the work every day. Their teams are highly trained, permanent employees - no day laborers from the parking lot at the big box stores or someone's buddy who's between jobs. They were extremely respectful of my home & property, and me - letting us know when it might get noisy, working hard to prevent any dust, debris, etc. from escaping from the work areas or the dumpster they brought, covering furniture, walls & floors, and carefully cleaning up every afternoon, inside & out. They also made sure to close doors & let me know when a gate or door was open so our dog didn't get out accidentally. Each time they completed a step, they asked if I'd like to check it out before they moved to the next item. And the results!!! Measurable, immediate improvement in our home's air quality & comfort. We have a fairly new home, with tight , energy efficient doors & windows. Our initial blower door test was 1780, but afterwards, it was 1376 - nearly 23% improvement. We have a single zone for 3 floors, and usually had to turn the heat up at night in winter, and crank the AC in summer, just to be able to sleep in the upstairs bedrooms. The day the leaks were sealed & new insulation installed, temps dropped and it snowed. Yet, for the first time, not only were our bedrooms comfortable all night, but the furnace only ran twice that entire day. The entire house now stays a steady 68-70, no matter what the temps are outside, and the HVAC system hardly ever needs to kick on. Our sunroom floor is no longer icy cold all the time, now that it's been properly insulated & sealed, and we're actually able to use & enjoy that room. Dolphin also moved the vents for our 2 upstairs bathrooms from soffits to the roof. What an improvement! Same fans, but now they're quieter, and we can actually feel air move when the fans run. No more odors escaping from hairspray, cleaners, and "other things", and when we take a long, hot shower, there is no condensation on the mirror, window or walls at all! Before, we had to run the fans for 40 min. after a short shower, and it often wasn't enough to remove all the moisture in the bathroom and adjoining bedroom or hallway. Towels & shower curtains took hours to dry, too, and there was always a slightly damp smell. Not anymore, everything is dry like a desert in there! Can't wait to see the improvement in our utility bills. My allergies are already much better, and the entire house is more comfortable. Have already recommended Dolphin to several neighbors.

I've reached out to Dolphin following recommendations on local Facebook group. Was received very nicely by Karen and had a simple onboarding process. The insulation was paid via MassSave and Karen was kind to push a date earlier than scheduled initially. The crew was great, on time, explained me the process and worked very efficiently, cleaning after the day of work. Thank you, Dolphin Insulation.

The crew came in and went right to work. They don t waste any time getting the job done. They ran into an issue and immediately brought it to my attention. When I have that issue resolved, they will come back and insulate that area. Very professional and respond immediately if you have any questions/concerns! I d hire them again in a heart beat. I m looking forward to the savings on my heating/cooling bills going forward!

I was very please with how the crew handled themselves and the thoroughness in which they did their job. It was a full day of clearing out insulation, sealing the rafters and blowing in extra insulation.

The head crew member Brian was polite and explained when he thought some extra work might have to done and why, leaving the choice to me as to whether I wanted to add the work.

All in all we are pleased and hope to feel warmer with the increased seal and insulation in our home.

Dolphin has been really good to us. They came and did one of our two units (filled walls with cellulose) in two days. They made holes from the outside of the house to the inside to fill the rafter bays. When they left, they fixed the holes and were so neat that we could barely tell that they'd been there. They were on time, professional, and nice to our cats. We were collecting temperature data before and after they came, and it was really neat seeing how the temperature stabilized. Instead of seeing jagged lines (as temperature dropped with Boston's cold and then increased with our heating system), the lines became smooth and the temperature swings in the house became less of a roller coaster. We were really happy with the result. They were also really kind to us when we messed up their schedule, and helped us with rescheduling.

Dave and his team went above and beyond! They were professional and respectful of our home. Thanks for all your hard work!!

By the time Dolphin arrived on the day after Labor Day, we were shell shocked from contractors and having strangers running around our house turned upside down to accommodate the work that needed to be done.

We were completely impressed with David, the site foreman. He was affable and easy to talk to. He kept us up to date on all activity and really eased our concerns about every aspect of the work. His crew was just outstanding and he managed them with respect and precision. I have witnessed work crews before, but yours was a cut above! Not only were they respectful of us and our home, but they exhibited respect for each other rarely seen in blue collar circles. They were in constant motion performing their specific tasks like a well oiled machine! We just couldn t have been more impressed and pleased.

An unexpected bonus was that there is less outside noise penetrating into the house. We have an active street and our neighbors are busy from morning to nightfall and beyond. I used to be able to hear conversations on the street, but after your crew was done, our house is much quieter.

And the icing on the cake was when the Mass Save inspector came out to inspect your work. I followed him around and he was also impressed with the work performed and stated that our contractor "had done an excellent job! He asked who did the work and I told him, Dolphin". He said that they always do excellent work! Boy, was I glad to hear that!

Only minor issue was dust got everywhere from when they had to cut into wall. They did what they could to contain it. The only thing that I think could have solved it was to hire a cleaning crew after the fact.

Still, the work was done on time and as expected

Bought my first house a few years ago and when I got my first electric bill it was $850 of which $750 was for heat. I knew that wouldn t be sustainable so I called Dolphin Insulation and the expert was very educated on the matter. I hired them to contract a $9,100 attic insulation job for me. The crew that came was knowledgeable, efficient, and nice to have around. They were done in two days and I noticed a difference as soon as they left. It s been three years now and it s basically paid for itself. We saved about $3,000/year ($350 in cold months and $150 in warm months). Even our family room with 12 high cathedral ceilings is warm and comfortable with the thermostat at 60 degrees. We also noticed 0 ice dams throughout the last three years. Highly recommend Dolphin. What I liked about Dolphin first off (that so many other insulation companies lack) is someone to communicate with up front and and at all times throughout the process. Amanda and Heather were great in answering my many questions. They were knowledgeable about the process (I know Amanda goes to job sites). Since they meet and discuss clients situations at beginning of day, more than one person who answers the phone can easily pick up where the other left off. Dolphin did what they said they would do and they did it when they said they would. Amanda is a woman of great integrity. The crew were also great. Very respectful of my space and a pleasure to work with. Ryan and Sean did a great job with door weatherization and basement air sealing. We decided to hold off on adding extra insulation to my attic due to structural concerns. I was impressed with everyone I dealt with at Dolphin. They think about what they're doing.They won't jump into things if there is doubt. They do things in a way that makes so much sense.

As a building inspector for the Boston area I can tell you this is a building code violation if the Contractor uses only blown cellulose in the rafter bays. (From what "Joe Bloggs" claims.) Expanding spray foam or foam board must account for at least 40% of the R-value in each rafter bay. 8th Residential code section 8.00 Roof Ceiling Construction for the state of Massachusetts.

From start to finish, Dolphin Insulation provided excellent expertise, service and accountability.
Dealing with a phased renovation can be challenging, but Dolphin was up to task, providing a state of the art product and a thorough and complete installation in an existing structure.
I would recommend Dolphin Insulation for any type of project due to their knowledge of the products they install and the affiliations that they have with experts in the exterior envelope field.

Dolphin Insulation was amazing. We had Mass Save do an energy assessment then we chose Dolphin as the contractor. The Dolphin crew was professional, friendly, prompt, and cleaned up each day. Our project ended up being larger than we had planned, but that was due to Dolphin recommending removal of our old insulation that had mold and mice urine/feces all over it. They gave us the benefits of removal and it was a no brainer. I wish the Mass Save consultant would have suggested removal versus just adding new insulation on top of old so we could have budgeted better. Mass Save does not help towards removal of old insulation, which is a shame. We chose to take on the added cost and couldn't be happier with our decision. The office staff and the field crew were amazing from start to finish. I will use Dolphin again if needed and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs insulation work done.

They scheduled the work to add insulation to our attic pretty promptly and were specific about when they'd arrive. I was impressed that he did the courteous thing and called, even though it was less than a twenty minute delay.
Ryan, Mike, and the other two crew members were friendly and courteous when working in our home. They laid mats on the floor and stairs to minimize mess. Mike answered my questions about the insulation work specifically and clearly. They left no debris or trace of their work in our house.
They worked quickly and efficiently. I checked their work afterward and it looked good. I was very pleased. I'd gladly make them blueberry and banana pancakes again if they do more work for us sometime!

Dolphin helped us with blown-in cellulose, proper-vent, air sealing and a attic door cover. They were very good. They listened to our concerns, they were accommodating, clean and communicated well - both on site and over the phone. Very good folks.

Dolphin did a very thorough job of insulating my basement, which we were finishing for my son. The space was cold and drafty beforehand, and immediately warmed up with a very small space heater when they were done. These guys are pros and know their stuff.

My experience beginning with my first call/inquiry to the end was great. We had a bit of a scheduling challenge and Karen fit me in and made me comfortable I would meet state required timeline. In the end we were able to move my appointment up due to a cancellation. The team who came out were courteous and professional. As a single woman homeowner I appreciate this very much. They answered all of my questions. They completed the work on time and cleaned up after themselves. The yard around my house was spotless. I m very satisfied and look forward to lowered heating bills this winter. My only disappointment was around expectations of having a much quieter home which is not the case but that may have more to do with less than optimal quality windows. Too bad! My house has become so comfortable and I have Dolphin Insulation to thank for this. From start to finish they have done everything right. On top of that the crews that have worked at my house have been polite, respectful, they thoroughly clean up their mess, they're punctual and they would always check in before they leave to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Definitely a top notch, go to company.

In April they completed my 3 phases of work. It started in August 2016 after I purchased my home on a very busy, very noisy main road. Dolphin's crew came in and insulated the front wall of my house to cut down on the noise I would hear from the road. I was impressed with how much that helped, and everyone who comes to visit comments on how quiet my house is compared to what they expected. In December they came back and insulated my attic. With the attic insulation my heating bill dropped by almost 50%. I was the only house on the street who would have snow on the roof almost 2 weeks after a storm because there was no heat loss going out my attic to melt the snow. In April they came back for the final phase of insulating my walls. Now my walls and attic are complete. With the heat that came roaring in this week I've kept my windows closed (a good thing considering all the pollen blowing around right now) still haven't put my air conditioners in and the indoor temperature of my house peaked at 71 degrees while the temperature outside was in the 90's!

Again, I can't say enough positive things about this company. I highly recommend Dolphin Insulation to make your home environment comfortable in all seasons.

Very impressed. We were randomly assigned to Dolphin Insulation by MassSave program and we totally lucked out. Having had Dolphin do the work and being so impressed I would never pick anybody else. The workers were on-time, professional, and kept me informed all along the way about everything they were doing and what to expect. For example, he let me know some of the cellulose insulation fluffy stuff might come in thru cracks in the floor trim when they fill the walls with insulation, etc. Holes in the walls to fill knee-walls were nicely repaired. The crew was very clean and treated the house with respect. The end-product was total quality. A job well done.

We hired Dolphin Insulation based on recommendations from my neighbors. They were very professional, punctual, and responsive, from beginning to end. We had insulation in our attic and our garage ceiling and we already starting to feel the difference. They were also very good about cleaning up the area after themselves, which not all contractors do. !

Dolphin insulated our 1890 Victorian some years ago, and just insulated a condo for us. Their methods are state of the art and the workmanship is also. And they work clean.

The crew treated my home like it was theirs. They really know their building science .So nice and warm in the winter and cool in the summer now .

Dolphin insulation scammed me by not installing all the attic air and insulation items listed on the Certificate of Completion. Another Energy Efficiency Company inspected the work they did in my attic and reported to me that it was a mess in there and the insulation was grossly inadequate and not as specified, light sockets were not covered at all, and I had tremendous heat loss during the winter months which contributed the ice dams. I found the owners to be negligent, uncaring, unprofessional, and deceptive. They never followed up with my complaint to come and inspect the scathing report I got. They only made up lies and we're very defensive. Stay away from this company if you do not want to beat scammed.

Chris came to my home in November to assess our needs for insulation. I specifically contacted Dolphin as they are listed as a contractor on Mass.gov for the Home MVP program. Chris was very nice and took his time checking out all areas of our home. I was promised a quote within the next week but I never received it. I reached out to the company's general email address in early January but did not receive a response. I then emailed Amanda (owner?) directly who replied immediately and apologized for the delay. She said they were having difficulty with the MVP program software but would send a proposal for my insulation needs within a week. It's now March and I never received a proposal.They obviously don't want my business.

The team from Dolphin Insulation, Inc. did a great job for insulation of my house. They come on-time for a week, cleaned every day after their work, and also did extra items were not part of contacts. I diffidently recommend them.

Dolphin insulation answered the phone when I called and Karen set up an appointment for their very knowledgeable building scientist to come out and look at my home. He showed up at the time we scheduled, asked all the right questions and gave me a state of the art solution to a problem I could never seem to fix. I thought it was just an older home and it would always be leaky. It was about double the cost I expected to spend but when he explained all the benefits and ROI it was a no brainer. We scheduled a few days for the install and the crew was friendly, protective of my home, and worked diligently. They cleaned up after and everything looked great. It s been a year now and compared to last year I have saved $4,500 and according to my calculations this job will pay for itself in 4 years saving around $400/month. The house is warmer, quieter, and the heat is turning on much less giving our hvac a break. Couldn t be happier. Thanks for a great job!

Dolphin Insulation was fantastic. They were contracted through MassSave and I couldn t be happier. When I was researching what company to hire, I read a lot of horror stories of insulation blow outs which are common as the cellulose can get through some small cracks. This happened in a couple spots and they came in and cleaned everything up really well. Crew was very knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and neat. The office staff was fantastic, extremely responsive and will communicate with you in a way that s convenient to your schedule. I would highly recommend anyone considering blow in insulation to hire this company.

We worked with Dolphin on couple projects this past week - Insulation (attic and unfinished part of basement) and Sound proofing a bedroom wall w/bathroom. Ryan and his team went over and above in every respect - knowledge, professionalism, respectful, showing up on time and even coming on a weekend to finish the job. I was skeptical of getting cellulose pumped in the bedroom wall as was not sure if it'll help dampen the sound from bathroom, but it worked. The noise level is down significantly. The best part was the clean up. Not a speck of cellulose anywhere in the house post work. Great high quality job every which way and I would hire these guys anytime I need to get this kind of work done again.

My work was done through the MassSave program. I was assigned Dolphin Insulation and I am so glad I was! The team arrived on-time the day of my project and team lead Chris walked me around the house and explained everything they planned to do. The work got started and as they moved through the tests and installations they kept me up on the progress. When the job was complete ahead of the estimated time, I was shown all the work and they made sure I was happy with the clean up process before they left. I have since had the work inspected by MassSave and they said it was an excellent job. If I knew of someone in the Littleton area who needed insulation work I would absolutely recommend Dolphin.

They delivered on their promises. Friendly, fast, and efficient. I would definitely recommended them to friends and colleagues.

I got to know Dolphin Insulation through MassSave years ago. Their team installed excellent weather stripping on doors and sealed attic drop-down stairs. I was so impressed I called them for a home energy audit. I found out they have more expertise including energy efficient remodeling, attic insulation enhancements, and even basement and slab construction insulation. A few years later and several projects completed and our home is more comfortable year round. The whole team at Dolphin is excellent. They know the pitfalls of poor quality construction and how to remedy it to make your home more efficient.

In addition to being a great product, the Dolphin Insulation team is wonderful to work with. They truly care and go above and beyond. We were lucky to have them be a part of our team to build our house. The house is so well insulated and tight. When our heat on the second story went off for 2 days in January, the temperature only dropped 2 degrees in 2 days! Highly recommend.

1) The company organized well, the crews arrived house on time as scheduled. 2) They are professional and raised suggestions to us and helped negotiate with MassSave to complete the insulation. 4)explain their works to us patiently and answer questions promptly. 5) I also personally appreciated that they put carpet in their working area and clean the affected area before they leave.

Dave, Matt and Tom have been incredible. Extremely professional, flexible and a pleasure to work with. They represent Dolphin exceptionally well. I would recommend Dolphin and Dave's crew to any of my closest family and friends. Hopefully I dont need to, but I would hire Dolphin again in a heartbeat and ask for Dave's crew. I can honestly say this was the best "contractor" experience of my 7 years of home ownership.

Very knowledgeable. Understood what I wanted, and had suggestions. Willing to work with me on what I wanted. Would have given 5 stars however the cleanup was not stellar. I had to spend several hours vacuuming all of the cellulose from the basement walls and floor after they "cleaned up".

We hired Dolphin Insulation through MassSave. We started having issue with our damper in the Master bedroom which happened after Dolphin insulation finished their job. We called Dolphin insulation to come and take a look at it. They took some pictures when they visited our place. We brought a technician to fix the broken damper, and paid for the whole thing (around $460). Now when we send emails or call them to reimburse the bill, they keep ignoring us. So, we submitted a complaint through MassSave.
Their quality of work and responsiveness is awful, and I DO NOT recommend them to anyone.

Dolphin Insulation offered more than the other companies we spoke with. They test your house before and after install to show the improvement, guide you through financing options and take time to explain the process. They did exactly what they promised and on time. The work area was cleaned each day and installers were respectful and professional. Couldn't be happier :)

Dolphin had been highly recommended by a colleague who had done extensive renovations. They did not disappoint for our much smaller job. The price was surprisingly reasonable, and the crew was professional and nice to work with. When they were stuck in traffic one morning, they called to say they would be a little late. The job was done on time, and they did not leave a trace. Also, there was a spot we had not identified that penetrated the envelope. They seal and insulated it without additional cost. Working with Dolphin wa an excellent experience.

From my first conversations and visits with Chris, to project coordination with Amanda, to the incredible professional composure and communication of the installation team, this was a first-class experience. Chris spent way more time than he needed to in educating me about my options and considering some of the complexities of our space (which included High Velocity AC equipment and ducting in a tight space). He was also helpful in providing counsel to me about working with MassSaves and coaching me through the timing of various pieces of work. Amanda was highly responsive, patient and just really nice every time we spoke. There was one issue at the end of the job where I thought there was a miscommunication and it turned out they'd gone in a slightly different direction because of the complexities of the space. The explanation was clear and professional and I felt confident they made the right call. The teams showed up on time each morning and were polite and really nice to my kids. This is messy work and they did truly an astonishing job with cleanup, leaving their work area cleaner than they found it, which is rare. The job concluded quickly and perhaps a little early, and Amanda was awesome about follow-up and letting me know how the process would conclude with MassSaves. I called 6 or 7 people before reaching Dolphin. I'm so glad I did. Seriously, look no further. This is a great, knowledgeable group and I"ll be working with them whenever we need to consider upgrading different parts of our home with improved insulation. Thanks, Dolphin!!
