Nothing I've ever experienced. Had a great time! We showed up about 10minutes after the real show started (finding parking :( ) but people were more then helpful leading/pointing us in the right direction to our seats. Our server was delighted to see us and greeted us immediately. Food was very good for the amount to shell out all at once! That's the true show I think. The servers are good!! The show was great really enjoyed it so happy I talked my mom into cause she was so into it just like a child. The restroom was clean decor was country cute. Reason for 4 stars was the cause of the exiting... only one exit and it was scary held my moms hand for dear life... if anything just sit down and wait!!! We didn't even go into the gift shop because of the crowd.

I use to love this place. I liked it much better before they redone it. There is also no elbow room when eating. My son and I literally had to take turns eating because my elbow was in his face. I also had to hold my 2 1/2 year old while trying to eat. I didn't mind sharing my food with her but she should at least be able to have her own seat! *Under 3 is free but they have to sit in your lap and share your food.

LOVE this place.

This place totally rocks. Our third time here in past 5 years and great every time. A very family friendly atmosphere and performance. Kids loved it too. Fun for the entire family of all ages. Food was amazing, you won't go away hungry. Our meal servers were amazing and on top of taking care of us with drink refills and bringing out food. Staff very friendly and performers are excellent. This time we got to watch their Christmas show last couple visits we watched their summer shows. Each time the shows were amazing. Well worth the price for the quality of the shows which includes an excellent dinner feast! We will be back.

This was a really great dinner show! The talent here was spectacular! There are horses, dancing, stunts and comedy! The price is pretty steep so it is hard for people to enjoy on a budget, otherwise would give 5 stars.

The show itself was great, as was the chicken, thus the two stars. However, the overall experience here was not fantastic, and I would recommend several other dinner experiences WAY more than this one.

It s feels like the patrons are treated like an absolute cattle call from start to finish. When you arrive, you are ushered into an overcrowded room that has tables so jammed together you can t fit down the aisles. It s like a disaster with kids, and it s completely uncomfortable. After a show which was a semi-entertaining band, you are ushered into the arena at your showtime ON THE DOT. Our show was at 6, and we weren t in one second early. You literally stand in a herd of people filtering in from the first room to the next.

When we arrived in, I had paid full child s price so my one year old would not have to sit in a lap. They didn t get the chair for an inordinate amount of time. The show had already started and we were already served the first part of the meal by the time they eventually got his chair.

They also had no milk available for kids, which is kind of absurd for a place that bills itself as family fun. Our waitress, Kaylee, wasn t that friendly, presumably because she knew we were unhappy at her apparent disregard toward getting us our high chair. I did also speak to a manager in an attempt to procure milk for my screaming one year old, who informed me there is no milk on the premises. Turns out the food arrives cooked . Which explains why everything except the signature chicken is drier than the desert.

Honestly, skip the Stampede and go to Pirates or Hatfield s and McCoy s instead. Either way, the money is going to Dolly anyway.

And for any management who may actually listen to genuine suggestions - if you want to think of yourself as a family place, then take care of the things families need. Some space, milk, and appropriate seating choices for Little s.

Show was fun and the food was very good. Remember: you eat with your hands!!! You will be used as an example if you bring your own utensils!! It's all in fun. Wait staff was great and the live Nativity was absolutely beautiful. Even during the regular season, this place sells out quickly.

Horrible fact that online never stated you need reservations . Plus I have a Doona stroller that let's down into a carseat and still I was told I had to hold my 6 weeks old daughter in my arms. They need to have things clearly posted on their website. I am terribly disappointed. And worst part is we didn't even get to enter

The venue is strategically built and marketing is everything. But you're a tourist so you have to expect that. When you first make it through the ticket scan, they will place you in a photo booth and take some pictures in front of a green screen, which you can then either purchase throughout the show or right online. They're expensive, so expect that. Once you're past the green screen, you're entering a large saloon with staff being dressed in cheap looking costumes according to the period. The pre show was fun, when also the drinks were quite expensive, considering there was no alcohol in them. All three musicians were very talented, humorous and worked very well together, playing a variety of country songs along with a pop medley. They also included the kids in their entertainment by having then play train during one of the numbers that they played on stage.
After the pre show you are being directed through a curtain into the arena. The main show venue is a large riding arena with seating around the outside. There are no bad seats in the house but if you get seats in the corner region, where one side meets the other, you'll see the show head on. The food was delicious and plentiful including a creamy soup to start with, a juicy cornish hen, piece of ham, half a potato, corn on the cob a biscuit to follow and some kind of turnover for dessert. Sit back and enjoy the show.
If you're a horse lover and know anything about horses, you will (or should) notice that the horses in the stalls on the "beautiful horse walk" they advertise, are quite sedated. They are not showing normal horse behavior and actually display several signs of depression in as well as out of the arena. Horses don't bite for no reason, yet there are signs everywhere along the horse walk telling you to stay back as they will bite. If you ask questions, staff will play stupid and give you vague or wrong answers as to the extremely calm, sleeplike demeanor of these horses in the stalls. I don't think they are physically abused, though we don't know the companies training methods, especially as some of these horses also perform fire stunts, which is totally unnatural as a horse will naturally run from fire. :-(
The human performers in the show are multi talented (acrobatic, athletic, able to sing and dance and keep people entertained) and bring a high energy to the show. :-)

Excellent family entertainment. Starts off with a kid friendly saloon experience followed a performance by their house band mountain ruckus. While in the bar you can get snacks and nonalcholic beverages. After the performance and assorted pranks you are shown the way to the arena where the show begins. The waitresses and waiters are part of the show and provide excellent service. For supper we were served our choice of beverage and a soup starter. Then comes out with a cheddar biscuit followed by a whole cornish hen and a pork chop. Next the brought out the sides of fried potato plank, and corn on the cob. After giving some time to eat while watching the show the bus off the tables and brought out a peach turnover. Overall I highly recommend this on your family vacation to the smokies!

This was SO much better than I was expecting. Food was DELICIOUS. Entertainment was FABULOUS as well as wholesome. Everyone young and old enjoyed it. Prices are great considering the huge amount of food you get and the level of the show.

First time going yesterday. My husband took me for our 1 year wedding anniversary. They knew it was our anniversary when he bought the tickets. Which they announced it during the preshow. Our waiter josh was very friendly and funny. He had us apart of the show which made my anniversary a blast! We did a water bucket race and won a medal which is a great souvenir! my husband and I made so many memories at this place alone it was absolutely amazing!! I will definitely go back!

Being locals, we have been to Dolly Partons Stampede several times, but hadn't been this year so we decided to go back because we usually have a wonderful experience. I called Dolly Partons Stampede and made reservations for 9/25/2020 for the 6 pm show.
Why am I leaving a 1 star review for one of our favorite places?
We were lied to from the time we made our reservations. On the initial call we went through the how many people etc. She asked my name spelling etc. I asked where we were seated, we wanted the South side preferable on the curved section of the arena. I was told that is exactly where we were, we were given seats on the north side (more on this later)
I believed her and went on with my evening, I recieved my confirmation email and saw my name was spelled incorrectly and honestly didn't pay much attention to anything else.
The day of the show I call to see if it is important that my name is spelled wrong, they fix that. It was around 2pm on 9/25/2020 and I asked if they were letting the children do the chicken chase because my daughter really wanted to do it, I was told NO that because of COVID the staff was doing that part. So getting my child dressed i told her her shoes did not matter because there was no chase.
So we get there and are quickly rushed through the temperature check to get in line, someone in our party had a broken ankle so we took the elevator after buying our SOUTH flags because we were told we were sitting on that side. We then find out there is no pre-show and we now get to stang in a very crowded upper room (no social distancing possible) for well over 40 minutes no chairs to sit in for those unable to stand for long periods. No way distance yourself from anyone.
After 40 minutes of standing in line we are shuffled into the NORTH side with our SOUTH flags. And not where we were TOLD we were seated at. I just told my family of 5 that we were going to have a good time no matter what.
Our server was fantastic, he could tell we were upset.
He then comes around to check my daughter's shoes
FOR THE CHICKEN CHASE that she had been begging for a week straight to do and we were told that same day that it was not happening.
When my daughter realized what was going on and that she could not participate she was in tears.

Needless to say I was livid, having paid around $295 for Tickets and flags only to be completely LIED to about everything. I seek out a manager, never told me his name or I was just to angry to hear it, but he was about my height 5'4, and very condescending. He said he had been very busy moving people around, i said well we were not where we were told we were going to be either.

I explained the issue and he said that it had to be the place we booked it through that lied, and i said I booked it through them directly, he then said I must have called about the chicken chase before they started doing it again the day before.... I said well thats a little strange because I called that day at 2pm.
He had no excuse for the seating issue, his only remedy was to bring my daughter a medal and one of the imagination library books in lieu of her not getting the actual experience that she wanted that we had tried to arrange and that she was initially chosen for.but missed out on because we were lied to repeatedly. I have seen fast food restaurants do more to try to remedy a situation than this manager. This manager just repeatedly made accusations that this was my fault never took any of the blame never. And when he came to bring my daughter (still in tears a medal and a book) he tried to give it to me, i told him he needed to Apologize directly to my child. He handed her the medal and said here you go a book from dolly in a condescending tone. NO apology was ever given.

A free medal and book, while a nice gesture will not make up for the experience that my daughter missed out on, not only was she sad that her flag didn't match anyone else's but she was also in tears about not getting to do the thing she wanted to and WOULD NOT have missed out on if we hadn't been lied to.

Great time for the whole family! Wish we lived closer. We got to see the Christmas edition of this show. The only problem was that we were not ready for it to be over. The food really good being it is mass produced for a dinner show. Our server was very funny and sweet. Tickets and pictures are a bit pricy, but can definitely see ourselves going back. My 11 yr old still talks about it 2 months later and wants to see if we can find a local dinner show to go to because she loved this one so much.

#1 attraction in Pigeon Forge, and it's not really close. Absolutely indescribable. I've been twice, and I still leave speechless every time. From the pre-show, to the food, to the main show, you'll not be disappointed. The Dixie Stampede is now an annual destination for my wife and I. Top notch!

This show is always a fun place to take family and friends. The food isn't bad either. The staff and performers always treat you like they have known you all your life. Fun, fun ,fun!

It was amazing from start to finish. Had a mother daughter day. I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else. The staff were every welcoming and warm. The saloon has a great band and man they can get down. The dinner was the best food I've ever had. The show was spectacular with falling real snow and the horses and the riders were so beautiful. They had a baby pig race. It was funny at times but the main show was the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of jesus. It was simply a great day with my mom.

The Stampede is a fun and entertaining experience ...

The Stampede is a fun and entertaining experience for all ages. The Christmas program is the best. That is the show that my party saw. If you never visited the Dolly Stampede it is a dinner show in a small amphitheater. In the center of the amphitheater is a dirt floor. A lot of the show is singing and equestrian stunts. These stunts are still impressive even after seeing the show about 15 times. The food is awesome. The best parts of the meal is the soup and the roasted whole chicken. Now with the Christmas program there are some beautifully done sets with the sugar plum fairy bringing toys to life. And best of all a live nativity scene, with live camels, sheep, donkey. It is a beautiful scene. The one negative I experienced on my last visit was with the photos that they take before the show. We were rushed by the photographer. We had to wait almost an hour after the show in a line to see the photos. Sadly the photos were poorly taken. And the overlay and backdrop images was not appealing. Save your time and money and go get professional photos made. Make sure you go early for the pre-show. It is fun and entertaining. The musicians are very talented.

First time visit. Was totally different from what I expected. The show was awesome, and the performers we're terrific! Was impressed by the quality of the food too! If I were going to see just one show in Gatlinburg, this would be it.
