Great food, great show, great atmosphere. I was not expecting preshow entertainment, but the preshow entertainment was excellent. Be sure to arrive at least 1hr prior to dinner so that you can enjoy the preshow.

We enjoyed it--me more so than my husband! The set up is fantastic--you get to see everything going on because of stadium seating. The show is wonderful, funny and competitive! The tricks, competitions, and animals are great.
The food is FABULOUS! Seasoned just right, plenty of it, and different varieties. There is soup, roll, chicken and pork, half baked potato, small corn on cob, and big apple turnover. So go with an appetite!
Damien, our server was the best! He was personable and happy to serve.
The end got to me--between Dolly's song and the American flags being ridden around, pulls at the heart.

DIXIE Stampede was amazing, as always. Can we please stop worrying about offending people and change the name back to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede. Why do we allow fragile snowflakes to dictate and influence all things around them? GO SEE the Dixie Stampede, you won't regret it!

We went to Dolly Parton s Dixie Stamped last night! The show was WAY better than expected! I really enjoyed the competition they held, (especially the part where the little piglets raced!) The food wasn t terrible, but it could have been better. For example, the chicken was huge, but delicious! But the pork and potatoes, were bland. Our service wasn t the best, but I think it was just our server, his nose was running, and just overall wasn t the best. I did observe the other servers, and they were friendly with their guest, and helped make their experience as good as they could! Overall I really enjoyed the show, I just feel that our service, and the food could ve been better!

Fantastic Family Fun! Amazing, talented performers. Excellent food and service. My husband and I came down here to Gatlinburg for our Anniversary. This place was only 10 minutes from our cabin in Gatlinburg. We loved it. My favorite part was when one of the performers rode in on two horses, standing up, with one foot on each saddle, there was fire and smoke, it was breathtaking! And the waiter we had, who was serving about 50 of us at one time, did an excellent job at keeping everyone satisfied. The arena was very clean as well. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend seeing this if you're in the Pigeon Forge area.

We come here every time we're in Tennessee. Never disappoints. Find event to take the kids to. They will have a great time period. Also if you're in Myrtle Beach make sure you go to pirates voyage hands down the best dinner show we have been to.

Always a great place to go for a dinner show never disappointed, always went since I was a kid, however the only thing I fo not like it they serve the same exact food as Pirates Voyage, also another Dolly Parton owned dinner show. They should definitely change it up. Other than that the food is absolutely amazing.

Lots of fun for all ages. The preshow musicians were great. Food was good and our server was awesome (good job Paula I know it must be hard).

Wear closed toed shoes if you would like to participate in the show. And just a note there is no alcohol at all so plan ahead ;) it would have gotten a 5 rating if there was alcohol.

Great show ! A little competitive but loved the animals and the colors. The soup was amazing the other food not my favorite. Will recommend to friends. My son had a good time and that says a lot! 7yrs old hard to please sometimes. The waiter and waitress staff were fun.

Getting in and out was crowded and confusing. The food was average, but dessert was very good. The show was entertaining and some very talented riders. Nice to go once, but that was enough.

The Stampede Dinner Show was an amazing experience for me and the family. One of the best shows in the Smoky Mountains. I highly recommend it for you to come and have the time of your life. You are going to love it as we did. Thanks Dolly.

Dolly Patton s Stampede is a great show and great food. It s worth every penny we paid. We have seen both the show here in Pigeon Forge, TN and Branson, MO Dixie Stampede. While both shows are similar, both are still great.

Seats up to 1000 people for the dinner show, but the staff moves people along so well you'd never know it. I never felt rushed and never felt crowded!
The food was delicious, served hot by very friendly servers.
Even better was the show! Non-stop action and very entertaining! I will be returning again!

Went there twice, performance mostly the same as I could recall, probably slightly different in details. You would expect to have a nice dinner and watching a Civil War-themed horses riding, cow boy dressed riders, and a funny piggy or doggy race with audiences interaction. Overall, the food is good, I love the soup.

Three year old wasn't amused, food was basic, extremely overpriced. We paid $150 for two adults and a three year old. The food, while it was great, left much to be desired in terms of selection.

Price: $150 (two adults + one child)
Service: 4/5 (the best thing about the Stampede)
Value: 1/5
Food quality: 3/5 (a fork is now included as of this review in Sept 2019)
Show: 3/5
Preshow: 2/5 (only there to upsell drinks & popcorn)

We arrived here at 5pm (show starts at 6), as we were instructed on our ticket. The preshow started around 5:10 and was an attempt at a saloon atmosphere. Things looked dated and old, but that's probably somewhat intentional. There were three people singing and playing instruments and, honestly, none of us were too amused by the show. That's not to say it was bad, but we had a three year old that was getting antsy.

After that was over, the main attraction starts in a separate room. It appeared that the set had been updated (there's an LED wall as the backdrop), but things are still somewhat dated feeling. We start the night off with drinks and the show, which come fairly quickly and then comes the meal, which comprises of (in order):

- Cream soup
- Cheddar butter biscuit
- Entire Cornish hen chicken
- A slice of baked potato wedge
- A slice of pork tenderloin
- A corn on the cob
- Apple baked pie thing (reminded me of what you get at McDonald's)

I didn't exactly leave here hungry, but I also didn't leave full and expected more. Like, maybe a full potato? I was also expecting to get full on the back half and didn't each much of the soup, as that's just a filler. That said, our server saw that our child wasn't going to eat that much and boxed all of his up, which was great!

Speaking of service, service was great. From the first interaction (one of the girls in the dresses waving and speaking to our three year old) to our server, everyone was nice and everyone was smiling and laughing.

Now the show...

As someone who's been to the rodeo when they're in town before, this was just that only glorified with the whole "north and south" instead of scores for individuals and a ton of lipsync singing. While our son hasn't been to the rodeo yet, I think he'll enjoy that more than he did the Stampede, we'd save a ton of money, and we'd eat somewhere we'd like and can choose what we have! I'm honestly unsure why this show is rated so highly.

Finally, we need to talk about the upsells and tips. Please don't misunderstand me, I do think you should tip for good service (which we did!), but being asked to do so multiple times (on the table there's a paper + from stage), it felt forced, awkward, and distasteful. And then, instead of having the gift shop while you waited at the beginning (where they upsell drinks + popcorn), they forced it at the end as you have to enter it to exit, thus slowing the exiting to a crawl.

1st come to this show 22 years ago on our honeymoon. Have been numerous times since then. I m currently sitting in the show right now writing this. The show has progressively gotten worse and worse through the years. However tonight it was not only the show but the food was horrible as well.
To start with the pre show ended early. The guy playing sent everyone to the curtains. It was 22 minutes before the curtains opened. People where pushing a shoving. I called the front to tell them what was going on and they finally got us in.
Food was dry, show was dull, we re leaving as soon as I finish this.
If you have never seen it, I say give it a shot. It s okay for the little kids. If you ve seen it before I assure it s not as good as last time.

If you're traveling with a toddler or baby, you might want to consider buying them a seat - which gets very expensive. The show is great and the food is pretty decent, but the room is very tight. We have both a six month old and a three year old which was supposed to sit in our lap. We couldn't watch the show because they wouldn't let us bring a stroller unless we paid for another spot. Two parents trying to eat with your hands(no utensils) in the dark with a 3 year old and a baby in your lap is really a nightmare scenario. The kids liked the show and the food was good but we didn't know about the rules until we got to the door.
