7 12 17 8:30pm show. 9th or 10th time going to Dixie Stampede over the years. Show has changed a bit here and there, some parts repeat but we never grow tired of the show as it changes with different themes and messages. Always about the culture and heritage. They have a great pre show so get there early. The server Nick was awesome, very attentive and prompt. The food was great, cream of vegetable soup, cheddar biscuit, rotisserie chicken, pork tenderloin, potatoe wedge and corn on the cob, for desert an apple turn over. All very tasty and hot. They even provide a hot towel at the end to clean your hands with. Show was really good, never a dull moment and the variety of entertainment is constantly changing. It will keep you engaged the whole time. You are in a competition between the North and the South but it's friendly and in good fun. 100% recommend if you have never been here before. You will not be disappointed.
7 20 16 5 stars every time.. Always. Great food, great taste, great show.
The food was okay the show was great I just wish they had something food-wise more geared for my three-year-old we didn't need any of what they served
We celebrated our Anniversary of 39 yrs we so enjoyed the show .Was our serverVICTOIRA she was a great host It was great chicken
Was just treated very rudely at will call cause I showed the lady my iPhone to show my confirmation number. I received a lecture about how rude people were who do that. I don't know if anyone actually reads these from Dixie Stampede but their will call staff need some training in not insulting their paying guests. 4/6/2017 6pm show. We have been bringing our family here for over a decade and the experience is usually terrific. Not today. Shame that it is gotten to this point.
Seating for the meal was very cramped. More space between people would be nice. Show was good, food not so much.
Absolutely loved everything about it! Great for family, couples, anyone! Food was amazing. Show was spectacular. Definitely will be back!!
Great family attraction. Be prepared to be entertained by professional riders while being fed delicious souther style food. The shows content stays consistent however, so some might find it a one time visit.
Excellent been there several times. Miss the lumber jack part of it though.
Good entertainment. Way to much food for a kid to eat. A whole cornish hen plus soup plus pork loin plus roll plus dessert, etc. You think it will never end. I wish there was a smaller meal option. Great show though, with audience participation, comedy, action. Good fun.
The food was great and the preshow was very engaging
Awesome show and dinner. Dolly always does it right.
In my opinion I wish it was still the fix is stampede but other than that the best.
This was one of my favorite parts of our whole smoky mt vacation. It was so much fun!
Very nice show with great food. It is along the lines of the "other" places like it.
Good time. Good service. Good food.
But here is why it gets 3 stars...
The show, up until a couple of months ago, was called "Dixie Stampede" but now it is "Dolly Parton's Stampede". Now the whole show is based on north vs south. But how can you have that without a confederate flag. That flag represants the south in the civil war. It is simply a piece of American history. But yet not once do u see a confederate flag in the show. As a matter of fact there was nothing in the whole gift shop with a confederate flag in it. Now Dolly Parton of course switched it not to offend anyone with the name "Dixie" or the confederate flag.
Now heres a little history lesson for you.
Dixie is simply a nick name for the southern territories of the country. Now the civil war is history. It happened over 150 years. But yet "Dixie" is still the Southern territories. It does not represent racism or rebelion or even the people of the South, it is simply the southern part of the USA, Which means the land in general. Such as Shenandoah and the beautiful, grassy lands of the south .So if you get offended by the name "Dixie" just remember that you are beign offended by BEAUTIFUL FIELDS OF GRASS AND RIVERS OF CLEAR BLUE WATER. Now for the flag...
The Confederate flag was simply the banner of the southern troops of the 1860's. That was 150 years ago. Now we are united. Now not all Americans agree on everything but we are all still Americans. So i look at it like this. Long ago America had a war with England. But thats history. We have now been allies with England for a long time. So should we as Americans be offended by the flag of England? NO! That would be rediculous. So how is the situation with the confederate flag much different? I am very disappointed that Dolly Parton is giving into political correctness and that is the only reason why i give it 3 stars instead of 5.
Other than that it really is a wonderfull time and i did enjoy it and i reccomend it.
Awesome dinner show that is nonstop entertainment. You will not be disappointed
I had the greatest time here the food was excellent along with the great service the show was awesome. We got selected to go into the arena and do a challenge and we won and got a medal
Something different for the whole gang. It was alright for a few hours of fun and dinner. They DO HAVE A VEGETARIAN option .... you just have to ask for it when you get your tickets and tell your waiter. It was a bowl of pasta with more veggies than noodles - mostly broccoli, corn, bell peppers. The very upper row has individual seating, everything else is one long row- if you are considering a lap child it's a tight squeeze unless you are on the top row. That's what we did ... worked out great. There is a quick fire scene that gets pretty hot, if you have little ones stay on the lower half of the "U" shaped seating area not at the open portion. ;) They served a soup (using chicken broth - or fruit cup if you'd rather), whole chicken or the pasta dish if you'd rather, half a small baked potato, a cheddar biscuit, small corn on the cob and then a apple danish for dessert. Drinks are limited but they refill often. ;)
Make sure you get there in time for the preshow my favorite part.
Expect lots of fun, lots of competition, and LOTS OF FOOD! Lol Worth every penny! With all the conflict going on in the USA, it really had a nice closing message... we may not like eachother, and while competition and rivalry may cloud our minds, let's not forget that we are one, the great US of A, from sea to shining sea
Great show for the whole family. And server Mikey was very friendly and great at his job. Would definitely recommend this for everyone!!!
The food was amazing. The show was absolutely fantastic. Even my cousin, who didn't look too thrilled to be there, ended up really enjoying herself. By the time the show was over she was grinning ear to ear. She light up talking about it. Only complaint is sometimes the waiters are right in front of you when giving you food or refilling your drink and sometimes that's a little annoying.
Cute stop, great food. Felt a little rushed to finish each course, take photos, & evjoy the show all at once. But the hospitality & venue were perfect & what we were expecting.
Show was good. Food was way too greasy. Made my husband sick for last 2 days of vacation. They give you a whole chicken but the grease will run off it. They do not give you silverware.
Food great show not so much. It's more people than the horsemen ship as it used to be.
What a wonderful experience! Service was excellent. Food was delicious.
If you love animals and feel their distress like I do - this may stress you out. Also, for $50 pp one should be able to get cream for their coffee. "We don't offer that." really isnt the answer I expected.
The food was delicious and the show was awesome!!:)
Great show! It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed how there was a northern and southern side so that the audience could really interact with the actors. The food was surprisingly good. You get a decent amount. I really enjoyed the soup, biscuit, and dessert. I didn't eat much of anything else since I'm not a huge meat eater and you aren't given silverware. Other than that, it's a fun time and a great experience! :)
Food was good, remember to save your soup as a dip for the chicken, and pototoe. They were alittle dry. Show was good. It kept my kids entertained.
Amazing. Best part of our trip. Food was great and the show was very entertaining.
Awesome Christmas show with dinner to boot, definitely would do it again.
Love it the show was great and so was the food just wish there was more food
Great place with yummy food. I loved the Christmas message the showed
Everyone had to go, it's awesome please take your whole family.
The pre show was a chaotic mess, but the Stampede dinner show was great! Other than the apple turnover, the dinner left a little bit to be desired. The dinner show staff was very good at serving allot of people efficiently!
Awsome show! Entertaining for the whole family. If you love horses you got to go. Food is good. Bring your appetite. Loved it.
Awesome Christmas show, really fun for kids, pretty fun for the adults too. A bit weird to eat without utensils but the food was good.
Great show, great service, great food! Kids and adults all had a great time.
The show was AMAZING. The chicken is SUPER AMAZING. However, the price... is AMAZINGLY AMAZING. If you're nearby, it would be a great experience to stop by with your family, your girlfriend, or even yourself to just sit back and enjoy a good show while having a great meal. And FYI, the chicken is juicy and tender. As a New Yorker from Queens, this chicken is one of the best I've had hands down.
Been half a dozen times or more and plan on keep going
Lots of fun, food is ok but you go for the show, not the dinner. My second time and the show changed some but still great.
I would recommend going to see the show. It was very good and the food was great
The show was like nothing I have ever experienced before it was funny , fun, and exciting. The atmosphere was awesome the food was great. I would love to have a girls weekend including this show with them. The horses was the main attraction to me. I would take nothing from it. Five star for sure.
This was the highlight of our vacation. My family of 6 was entertained on all levels during the evening. Glad we went.
Those cowboys and cowgirls are really talented their hard work shows
Fantastic place and people and program. Don't miss this production!
Great food, great show, no gluten free besides meat and entree
Really needs to add dixie back, its sad that they removed it. You should be proud of your heritage and not hide from it
Well, 1st time ever in Gatlinburg and who done run into last nite at The Land Shark? Jason Aldean!
It will not let me upload a picture or I would!
I really wish I could leave more stars...
I have a few issues with the Dixie Stampede.
1. The pre-show is too loud. I end up with a headache before the main show starts.
2. My husband is a vegetarian and says the vegetarian dinner option is very lacking. It s a pasta and apparently the sauce isn t very good.
3. They changed up the scenery but not the show. I m not saying I want it to be redone and totally changed. But maybe add a new act or two!
Overall I always love it. But if I could change a few things I definitely would!
Now if you ll excuse me, I m going to go dream of a cup of sweat tea and a bowl of soup!
We enjoyed the acts and seeing the horses, longhorns, bison and other critters! Wish they had introduced the horses though. Food was delicious and service by Jacob was great.
Never get tired of going here. Love the friendly people and the shows they have
