I might have had different expectations if it didn't cost my family of 5 +/- $160 to go (one kiddo was free, but on my wife's lap the whole time).
In general I liked the show, but was a little disappointed as I was expecting more action and thrills. Having been to Medieval Times a few times I was expecting something similar to that, especially since they push the North vs. South aspect. It ended up being mildly entertaining and centered around the food (which was good!) and horse riding. The "trick" riding was fun but not exciting and the "competition" with the other side left a lot to be desired (primarily consisting of basic horse races/competitions, pig races, and random audience participation events like toilet seat horseshoes).
Despite a promising start, the show descended into lackluster amusement with no real action while you quickly ate your food. It was more like a dinner with amusing entertainment thrown in rather than a thrilling show with dinner served (like Medieval Times).
Also, there was an unpleasant smell during seating and after the food was finished which reminded our party of either a hospital type smell or disinfectant of some sort. I would have rather smelled the horses.

We had a lot of fun here. The show is a lot more fun than thought. The food was really good. Brittany was wonderful. Only wished they had silverware.

I d give this experience 5 stars anyway because it was super entertaining and the food was really good. But my main reason for writing this review is because of above and beyond treatment we received from the staff. My son has Autism and we started out ok with the show, but it got progressively louder and louder and as luck would have it we were seated in front of some guy who must have won a world record for loudest whistler ever. My son hit his limit after about the 500th ear splitting whistle aimed at the back of his head and began crying so I quickly took him out the back thinking we could go unnoticed. But an employee and a manager noticed and let us sit in an empty room and calm down and they were so sweet and friendly to us it made me cry. My husband and I were able to take turns watching the end of the show and our server gave us our dessert to go and even brought some headphones to the table in case we wanted to try to bring him back in. All this happened without me saying anything. They just recognized what was going on. Anyway, it was a wonderful experience and by the time we left our evening was salvaged. Thank you.

Fun for the whole family! A great southern experience that's finger-licking good. The show was both hilarious and amazing to watch, and the waitstaff was very attentive and helpful. I would reccomend this place to anyone looking for something new to try.

We were here back in 2005 when this place was still allowed to be called Dixie Stampede. We thought it would be nostalgic and entertaining to revisit the place where we had such a memorable evening. Well, now everyone is herded like cattle into this big room for a "pre show". Sweet mother! This is some of the LOUDEST music! As if that wasn't enough on it's own to trigger an anxiety attack AND a migraine, everyone is elbow to elbow at this pre-show. Ugh. Our group decided this must be the Stampede's clever way to make more money because while people are waiting they buy drinks and snacks. We practically had to leap frog over other guests to find a seat! Can we say "awkward and uncomfortable"?! Just when I was about to run out screaming, someone announced we could go into the stadium to be seated for the show we actually bought the tickets for. Everyone jumps up at once and they push their way to the line to get to RESERVED seats. I just held onto my son and waited for the storm to pass. This winding line then shuffles slowly to the stadium.
The actual show and dinner was good! But that pre-show is so intrusive and uncomfortable it almost parallels with an internal ultrasound. It's seriously bad enough to keep us from coming back.

The show is great! Our group had ages between 4-60 and all were entertained. The food is average quality and getting to your seat is a bit disorganized but the service once seated was good.

The show was much more random than expected and switched from a redneck show to a history lesson to a let's all be friends theme. Would be fun for kids but gimmicky for adults. No silverware or alcohol either!

Christmas show was entertaining as always with the skits and horses riding doing tricks. Husband's favorite part was skeeter, the little country fellow that made the corny and quick jokes intermittently. Great food, good taste. Creamy soup, flavored potatoe half, flavored baked chicken, pork slice, buttery biscuit, and dessert of Apple pie like croissant. Enjoyed it

The food was perfect! The entertainment was pretty good. I felt like the there was too many distractions with the overhead digital system. The show could be improved in way of involving the audience. The pigs were cool. The Southern Belle's were good. The horse show with the American flag was good.

Dolly Parton's Stampede is such a fun experience! It's great for families/kids. The food is all really good and filling. The service team is awesome. But, the best part though is the entertainment. Before you even enter the arena you start with a live show with music as you wait to enter the arena. When everything is ready they move you into the arena and help you find your seats. The show is really good! The kids have always loved the show and we've returned a couple of times.
The show does use live animals so the arena does occasionally smell a bit like a barn. I personally didn't find it off-putting. I only mention so anyone that might be bothered is not caught by surprise. I highly recommend this experience!

This was our second time at Dixie Stampede. Aside from the ridiculous line getting in (all for a photo you probably won't buy) a very good experience. Our server, was HILARIOUS and very attentive... and food was very good. From the soup to the chicken to the pork, awesome food. Show was a little cheesy, but it has to be to maintain its family atmosphere.
Will definitely go back.

Fun always! Definitely a must go to. Key advice: show up early, go upstairs to rest closest to doors to dinner room. Try to get a seat close to front exits as well as that is their only exit they use to dismiss.
Food is a whole rotisserie chicken, piece of pork loin, corn on the cob, buttered half baked potato. Yum. Dessert, apple turnover.
