Kerri Rader Review of Dixie Stampede

We were here back in 2005 when this place was still allowed to be called Dixie Stampede. We thought it would be nostalgic and entertaining to revisit the place where we had such a memorable evening. Well, now everyone is herded like cattle into this big room for a "pre show". Sweet mother! This is some of the LOUDEST music! As if that wasn't enough on it's own to trigger an anxiety attack AND a migraine, everyone is elbow to elbow at this pre-show. Ugh. Our group decided this must be the Stampede's clever way to make more money because while people are waiting they buy drinks and snacks. We practically had to leap frog over other guests to find a seat! Can we say "awkward and uncomfortable"?! Just when I was about to run out screaming, someone announced we could go into the stadium to be seated for the show we actually bought the tickets for. Everyone jumps up at once and they push their way to the line to get to RESERVED seats. I just held onto my son and waited for the storm to pass. This winding line then shuffles slowly to the stadium.
The actual show and dinner was good! But that pre-show is so intrusive and uncomfortable it almost parallels with an internal ultrasound. It's seriously bad enough to keep us from coming back.
