We stayed in a preferred room and would stay there again!! 3 nice large pools with lifeguards. Nice options at the food court.
We stayed in a preferred room and would stay there again!! 3 nice large pools with lifeguards. Nice options at the food court.
The room was small, but that didn't matter too much because we spent most of our time at the parks. The food was cafeteria styled like most of the other Disney resorts. My least favorite thing was how soft the pillows were, so make sure to ask for a second or third extra pillow for each person. The front desk was extremely quick and helpful when we needed anything. Overall a pretty cool place to stay.
Really loved staying here. Staff was friendly. Ambience was great. My favorite Disney hotel. The tie dye cheesecake is to die for. Groovy place.
This is my second stay at Pop Century. It's a great step up from the All-Star Resorts and is still affordable. There are three different pools and also a bridge that will take you to the Art of Animation resort. Of the value resorts I'd say it's the sweet spot.
Pop century was nice the rooms could be a little bigger but it's in a good location and the foodcourt was convienant
The rooms are modern and clean. The staff are all friendly. The grounds are well kept and neat.
Great value hotel, especially with the updated rooms. Food court is convenient, great price.
Quiet, calming, and comfortable during our visit! I wish we would have had more time to use the pools! The rooms were cozy and well stocked with everything you could need!
Out of all our trips to Disney World this is the worst resort we have stayed at. The staff (besides Deanna) was rude, the groups from other countries take over the food court and pool, and I am talking hundreds of teenagers at a time. We have stayed at All Stars a few times and it was much better for a value resort. Caribbean Beach, The Boardwalk and All Stars are all places we have stayed and loved each of them for different reasons. We don't plan on coming back to Pop Century ever again!
It's Disney! For an economy hotel, it was great. We stayed in a newly renovated room. The Murphy bed was exciting for the kid but gave excellent space when needed. Everyone was very friendly. Food was great, but go get it in the off times because the buffet can get packed. Pools were awesome fun for the kids and they played movies whole we swam. Bartender at the pool bar was wonderful!!
The refurbished rooms are the best! Everyone is very friendly and we loved the pools. Their mickey waffles are delicious and everyone at the "Everything Pop" is very nice. We were also very satisfied with the guy that makes the cartoon art. Overall our experience was amazing and we will definitely come back to Pop!
We had the chance to be in the newly refurbished 80's section. The room was great for our 13 days trip. A mini fridge and cofee machine were at our disposition. The bus service was well identified and very practical. Laundry service available with online machine status is pretty practical. I would recommend this hotel to friends and would consider coming back.
Everything about the room and grounds are clean and we'll maintained. Activities at the pool(s) as if there wasn't already enough to do with the parks, etc. Transportation to the parks is free. The food is good but not great. Of course, the staff are great.
A cheap disney hotle with loads of things to do with a welcoming theme is great for all ages
This hotel is great for the price just rely to get as close as possible to the main building.
Can not think of one bad thing to say about Pop Century resort. Room was very clean and cool when checking in. Staff sent a text as soon as room was ready. They were also very kind and eager to help. First time visiting and would highly recommend. The restaurant/ food court has great food and transportation to the Disney parks is very fast. Highly recommend for children as rooms are very mickey/disney themed.
Exceptionally Clean! Everyone was very helpful and nice.the restuarantt was very good. Will go back there again.
Larger than life details, clean and comfortable rooms, and access to Disney transportation made for a fun vacation.
The rooms were recently renovated with modern decor feauting clean lines, light colors, and lots of light. Each room has a queen bed + and additional queen size bed that folds out of the wall. This gives you additional storage space if you only need to use one bed. I like the rooms as they are very functional with many shelves and storage spaces. There are also hooks to hang bags, coats, sweatshirt, towels, and more. Each room has a mini bar area where you can store snacks. There is also also a small coffee maker and a drawer with coffee packets, creamers, tea bags, and a variety of sugar. The mini bar also includes a refrigerator.
Some things I did not like about the room include there were no accessible / handicap bars in the shower. My room had a tub but no bars to help you stand up to get out of the tub. There was also no shower mat to dry off on once you got out of the shower. This made the tile floor slippery. Another negative is that I found many hairs in the shower. I also found hairs on the bedding. I called housekeeping keeping and they quickly replace the bedding, but I really don't like arriving day one to dirty bedding.
Great gift shopping, larger store than most Disney properties. Fun whimsical atmosphere for all ages.
Needed more variety in the cafeteria. Rooms were very nice!
I really want to give pop century a 5 but the only reason I will not is because the walls are paper thin. Before coming here I read the review about the walls being paper thin and I thought to myself whatever only going to sleep in the room. Well you literally will hear every litte thing outside and from the room next you and the room above you. It s pretty terrible. Also the mattress and food suck. Now there are some great things about the resort too:
-Close to everything 15 min shuttle to all parks and the shuttle comes every -15-20 mins all day
-If you want to Uber anywhere it s not more than $8
-The people that work at the hotel are super nice (btw I did not complain to them about the walls bc what s the point)
- rooms are nice hardwood floors and the rooms are clean( I am a huge freak about being at a clean hotel so trust me it s clean!)
-tons of places to eat outside the resort
Would I stay at pop century again?? Honestly NO and again it s bc the walls ruined it for me. Yes I only stayed in the room when sleeping BUT bc if this I didn t get to sleep.
Great, reasonably priced Disney resort that is right next to Hollywood Studios and no more than a 10 minute bus shuttle to the other parks. The whole resort was recently revamped and is really pretty nice. Rooms are modern, clean and well stocked. Multiple pools (pretty simple) and a decent cafeteria with every meal plan option. Not all that much to do beside swim and sleep; but if you're a normal Disney visitor, you're there for the parks not the resort... But this one is a reasonably priced option. Definitely check your bill from them because their billing is weird.
We loved it, one thing I can suggest figure out where your room is, there might be closer parking to your room instead of the main parking areas. The skyliner was great for getting to the parks. The bus for the rest is great too. Every cast member lead the charge for organizing the lines for the buses and kept them moving swiftly. The convenience of the shops and the food areas is great too.
The refurbished rooms are so much nicer. Appreciate how clean everything looks now.
Our favorite place to stay! The lobby is one of my favorite smells. The renovated rooms are beautiful with tons of storage. Highly recommend!
Pop Century is a Disney "value" resort. It doesn't have some of the frills or extras you'll find at more expensive properties. For those who are here to spend time at the parks rather than lounge around the resort, Pop Century may be exactly what you're looking for. The dining hall has a more "bare bones" (Disney-style of course) menu than other resorts. The pools are basic without a lot of theming and the rooms are equipped with beds, a TV, and a mini fridge. Overall I enjoy my stays at Pop Century because I'm not here to be pampered at the resort. I'm here to visit the parks. And a cheaper hotel bill leaves me more money to spend at the parks!
You get what you're paying for: the bottom of the Disney barrel. I had a great time at the park regardless, but this resort is more of a motel. I took a six minute trek outside every time I went from the parking lot to my room.
The cafeteria food is sprinkled with Disney's trademark expense and wait. I waited an hour in a line of twenty people for a meal, simply because the staff is bad at operating.
I imagine an impatient family having a bad vacation because of the low quality of Pop Century. The pop culture theme is a lame coat of paint on a lackluster resort.
Loved service, room and staff. Only issue was the weird shower doors. Never stayed closed!
Great family friendly place to stay. Clean rooms and love the fact they have a mini fridge in the room. No carpet which is wonderful with someone that has bad allergies. I do wish they had a microwave in the room but we love taking a nice stroll down to the food court which has 4 microwaves to re-heat food.
It's one of Disney's "value" resorts but it's still very nice. The lobby area is classic and a great throwback to the 1950s-early 2000s.
The place was nice and clean. For a family of four it serves its purpose which is to sleep so you can go to the parks. Enjoyed having the food court onsite. It was basic food such as pancakes, burgers, chicken tenders and soft drinks and donut type desserts. Shuttle was close by to every building. Pool was nice as well. Not too crowded. Did not hear neighbors though it was clear there were some. Only minor complaint was the ride time in the shuttle from the resort to Magic Kingdom. Otherwise I would book the rooms if we come back to this area.
Stayed in one of the new 90's rooms. It was a wonderful experience. The rooms in this building were recently refurbished. The service was impeccable. Everything was nice, new, and clean. Don't hesitate to choose Pop Century for your next Disney vacation!
Had a great stay here. Room was clean, beds reasonably comfy. Loved the pools and cafeteria! I would definitely stay here again.
I've been to Pop Century several times, and I always like it. The cafeteria is perfect for breakfast before going to the parks, and the rooms are nice and quiet. The buses are slick to get to the parks, though it can be a trek to get to the resort bus from the parks.
First time being back at Pop since the renovations. The room was awesome. I thought it felt very modern and a little more upscale than previously. It isn't as in your face Disney, but I am ok with that. Mousekeeping was fantastic during our stay. The food court was often slammed, but I guess that is par for the course. There is something about Pop that will always keep me coming back. It just feels like Disney and is so colorful and fun.
Our stay stay here was great since we were traveling with family. If we didn't have kids with us would have stayed at a more adult hotel but we never had to wait that long in lines for buses or food. The rooms are really clean and the service is very good.
Our first visit to Florida, loved the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Atmosphere on the hotel grounds was fun. Pool although I did not go in was huge. I would recommend you give it a try.
The rooms are beautiful in the 90's building. The attractions are beautiful.
My dog became I'll halfway through and the staff were very understanding about it and refunded the rest of my trip so I could put that towards her treatment
I was recently at POP century this past weekend (3/18-3/20) with my children for Spring Break. Everything was great! The Disney transportation was phenomenal. The longest I waited for a bus was about 30 minutes BUT it was to Disney Springs on a Friday night AFTER the parks closed so it's to be expected. The staff was great with cleaning. The reason I am leaving a review is because I had a billing discrepancy and the billing staff reached out to apologize and rectified the issue. I wanted to show my appreciation by leaving a well deserved review. I love staying at Disney. Being in the Disney bubble is the best place to be. I look forward to many more family vacations at this resort and all the others. By the way, this is the 3rd Disney resort I've stayed at. I always tell my friends, it is worth the money! The convenience is unbeatable. I might just go book my next trip right now :-)
Very friendly staff and it's close to the parks. Nice rooms but I do have to say it's very strange they don't put a clock in the room... Overall great and a HUGE PLUS is they have dedicated busses to the parks
Sure, the rooms are a bit small but I found it comfortable. Also lots of USB chargers built in, so there's no conflict over who gets to charge their phones first.
This is the second time I have stayed here... I cant say enough about the location price and stay of this place. Beds are super comfortable, rooms are very clean, staff is some of the best.
For a moderate resort, the Pop Century is pretty awesome. We have stayed here numerous times and love the refurbished rooms. We had a medical emergency on our current trip and the staff went above and beyond for us. They were outstanding.
Nice resort. Not too much Disney stuff around, but good cafeteria and pools we're good. Rooms were pretty nice with the addition of the Murphey beds.
I have the dest time I got to go on a dus. They had good room to. GO HERE
Amazing resort! Unfortunately I was at the 50's, my least favorite decade because they were doing construction on the resort pool for the 50's....woke me up WAAY too early! At least work on it when people aren't trying to sleep! If you stay here, just hope you aren't at the 50's!!!
Third time at Pop Century. Great value, pools are always nice and clean, trails are kept clean, and good choice of food and snacks. Rooms have always been spotless. Our favorite place to stay.
My only complaint would be the lack of options for transportation. Other than that, this resort is all around amazing. The rooms are remodeled & very clean. I had a standard studio room and I felt it was very spacious. The breakfast is Disney s standard pricing & the pool is nice for kids! The decorations are really nostalgic and my family and I love to come to this resort.
Love the resort. The new rooms are very well laid out and feel fresh. Always helpful staff.
The room was way more than expected, and the theming is wonderful. Pools are big and food is good. I will definitely be back!
Great place to stay and a really friendly staff! Would stay again in a heart beat! Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is because it could use some updates on like the elevators and such. But that is me just being picky.
This would be the best value resort which is a value. Unlike the older All-Star resorts and the more priecy Art of Animation, Pop provides a very good mid value resort. A tip to make your stay a bit better. Avoid the ground floor. The building where we were staying, the inside sidewalk is one of the roads for the Pargo carts and those carts are used to deliver the pizzas to guests and they can run until midnight, if you are trying to get an early start on the day, this is going to make sleeping difficult. Also be mindful if you have a standard room near the front of the building. The buses tend to idle there in the morning and can also wake you up. For the cost the rooms, they are very nice and they have just been refurbished so everything is nearly new. Each room has a small mini fridge and coffee maker, however compared to what you can get at the food court, it is not good coffee. There is a self service laundry that is onsite (three total on this resort) and they all use credit cards and will text you when the cycle is completed. The dinning on this resort is ok, however if you want a slightly more upscale experience walk next door to the Art of Animation. For the same food cost you get metal silverware and a bit nicer food such as make your own pasta.
Nice hotel. Lots of large pools for the kids. Rooms are average but nice for the price. Convenient transportation to the parks. Good food. Did a great job of getting our luggage for us at the airport and bringing it straight to our room.
Friendly, clean, good value. Meal package is good and the food is good too.
Super clean rooms, tons of storage, great themes. Bed was very comfortable and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.
Pretty nice for a motel. Breakfast food was decent.
Really nice resort, it doesn't have the biggest entertainment, but its the cheapest it's 10 minutes from Disney Hollywood studios and 12 from Disney Springs. It has 3 pools, laundry services, jogging area its really beautiful, staff is super nice really lovely. Totally recommended
Spread out, reasonable facilities. It's a bit like a camp / apartment style hotel. Reasonable disabled facilities.
Interesting place. Good view of fireworks. Food court more than restaurant. Rooms small but very clean.
Employees treated me well. Really clean and well maintained.
One of the less expensive resorts at WDW, it's pretty no frills...small room, no coffeemaker or microwave. Rooms only accommodate four, they will not let you book a fifth guest even if a small child. Cool looking outside, room pretty boring. Nice big pool. Restaurant is food court style offering a bunch of options.
It is a decent place. It may be Disney value rated, but it is perfect since you are only there to sleep
We were in room 7160 in pops hotel and got bed bug bites. on June 10 thru the 14th 2019 They said they inspected our room and did not find any but they threw all the bedding on our luggage while we were at Disney. Which really made us mad so They moved us to a new room but did not offer to pay for luggage we had to throw out and purses we had to throw out. They said they had a dog inspect but they called us within 15 mins after we left room to let us know there were no bugs and we never saw a dog on site the whole time we were at hotel.
I've never stayed at a Disney resort before, but know I understand why so many people love them. The staff is amazing, the property is impeccable and the pricing is very decent!
The newly renovated rooms are awesome and hotel cast members are unbelievably fantastic!!
The good: Rooms were recently remodeled and clean but quite small. Food selection on site was decent and staff were friendly. The bad: The bathroom fan and thermostat only functioned by using motion sensors which made for a frustrating experience. Hotel lost our luggage for almost a full day upon our arrival and when it finally arrived everything was soaking wet. My wife had prepaid for items to be in the room as a surprise, but they were not there. It took us 2 days for them to actually locate the items and we still had to pick up at the front desk.
Rooms are comfy and clean every day. Nice shower with removable shower head and rain shower head.
The hotel is really nice, also the pool is a good place to relax after a long day around the parks.
I stayed in the 70s building and loved it! Very convenient, terrific staff, great transportation. I have nothing bad to say about it at all, very clean and accommodating.
Nicely redone efficient rooms, nice pools, great service! Would definitely come back!
Our family of 10 enjoyed 10 days at Pop Century the end of April and early May. The Pop Century is a great place and our family had a fabulous vacation with no complaints. The grounds are kept extremely clean and the pools are maintained and there were life guards on duty at all times. The food was good and the staff was always accommodating. The buses were always there and we never waited more then 10 minutes for a ride back to the parks or back to the resort. We will definitely be staying at the Pop Century on out next visit.
Best Disney room quality I have stayed in. Maybe not as roomy as others, but 5 star quality. The pools were lacking in my opinion but my son had a blast.
Great place to stay for the price. Cafe could have more vegan options and also stay open a little later. Housekeeping couldn't get what we needed correct and never showed up when we needed items, plus they never called to say sorry.
My friend stayed at the 60s hotel. After looking at the rooms, I could tell this was a place I could go to. Very clean! Very nice decor! Like most of their hotels, there are many different themes to get you to come back and try.
They have good staff. Clean resort. Only bad thing is that all but one pool closes at 10 pm.
It's a great value resort. You're not going to get all the flash, glitz and glamour, but you're in a Disney Resort still. Rooms are rather small, we had 4 adults in one room, it's right. But doable. Highly recommended if you love Disney and have a budget.
The rooms were a little bit small. The old time aesthetic was nice and I enjoyed the service from the reception counter and food court there. The rooms were clean and tidy. Our magic bands didn't work to open the door to the room, so we were given key cards instead (which also had some issues). Good resort, but I'd probably pick another Disney resort before it if we went to Disney again.
Nice small recently renovated rooms. Good value for Disney.
The shopping food court and desk people were very nice and clean
Nice place and very clean a lot of activitys for kids
This is the third time I have been to Disney and the second time I stayed at POP Century Resort! I absolutely love Pop Century. Check it was very convenient once I got to the hotel. I just found my way to the building, scanned my magic More
Great location, right near Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, and Hollywood Studios. Not that far from Epcot as well. 2nd best value resort at WDW (behind only art of animation). A good bang for your buck. Quick service cafeteria style food court is excellent, great variety, lots of options for people with allergies or special dietary concerns. Huge gift shop with great selection. Cast members there are very friendly and wonderful. The outside of the buildings are gorgeous. Only negative is that it can be initially hard to find your room in relation to where you park. Other than that it's an overall amazing resort.
We chose this place for the great price not knowing what to expect. I was pleased with everything here. The rooms were a decent size and clean although I wished they had a microwave. They had plenty of pools and items to eat/drink at the cafeteria. The buses were always available and the ride was only 15 mins to each park. I had no complaints.
The room was newly renovated and very nice. Staff was very friendly.
We are staying in the newly upgraded standard room with a king bed. They are really nice! This is our first time in Pop Century and we have really enjoyed it! Will be coming back again!
Great resort! Nice staff, good dining area, great pizza!
Given a choice, I probably wouldn t have chosen Disney s Pop Century Resort but my daughter was making the lions share of the plans for this trip and this is where she decided on. Having said this, the rooms were clean, roomy enough well appointed for the price and well maintained. My only major complaint was the lack of insulation in the walls. I could clearly hear my neighbors in their rooms. At one point, I was woke up at 2am by the sound of a woman suffering through some type of gastronomic distress to the point where I clearly heard her say Oh God and heard the sound of her filling the bowl. No bueno. It didn t ruin my vacation but if you re a light sleeper, you might be better off choosing someplace else and/or spending a little bit more.
