Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park Review

Wonderful place to visit with the entire family! Super cool creations throughout the part that will amaze you. My favorite and must experience is the Safari! Super cool. We watched a baby giraffe feed from it s mother. We had rhinos walk right in front of us. There are almost extinct animals as well that was super cool to see.

An amazing day and worth the day, or a little longer.

We attended with a large group of mixed ages and all found something to enjoy. I would recommend doing the safari tour, gorilla sanctuary first as these are just wonderful, with nice staff and a family friendly pace.

The whole place is very well maintained, with lots of stalls and rest areas and water fountains. The restaurants and beverage stalls also are happy to provide free ice and water, a god send for those who have diet issues, children and need to cool off. (Tip my hat to your customer service Disney, your staff are to be commended)

Price wise, it is worth the ticket price. Drinks and food, were not crazily priced (as some other parks!) and the selection was good, plus well made.

Recommendations would be;
- buggies/strollers for little ones are a must as there is a bit of walking.
- use the rest areas and water fountains (especially with older parties)
- plan your fast passes to end back at the tree of life for the night show
- have planned meeting spots or time to split your group, we saw many a frazzled or group. It can be a long hot day.

First time here and I was blown away with how great it was
It's not a thril seekers Park, but it's a park with a great atmosphere.
Some fantastic shows and the River of Light show in the evening is one of the greatest things I have seen. Make sure you get to watch it.

Missed out on flight of passage due to the 3hr wait however will be back at Rope Drop time to get on there.

Pandora is amazing at night and well worth staying late to see it all light up

OMG, definitely one of my all time favorite places of Disney. I haven t been to Disney since i was a little kid. Every little detail blew me away. It was such an amazing day. The safari ride was my all time favorite, being so close to all my favorite animals was breathtaking our tour guide was friendly and amazing, she took her time so we were able to experience everything around us.

Rides and attractions are great. We found the paths in the parks as well as the bathrooms to be messy, dirty, and surprisingly neglected. Never seen a Disney park not clean. July means many huge groups of teenage international travelers....all descending on restaurants simultaneously. Plan accordingly. Lion King spectacle was terrific. Pandora Avatar ride is the best. Do it late in the day, as everything else pales compared to it and it's lovely in Pandora at night watching the lighting come up.

Get to the park super early. Go to pandora and go on the virtual avatar ride asap. The wait on this ride was super long without fast pass. After that go to Africa and go on the Safari ride. After those two, the park should be a breeze to go through. Definitely go and see the lion king show it's fun and If you have children they will love it. Bring a backpack with water and snacks. Wear good walking shoes!!!!!!

Awesome experience, our first time here. Being veterans of magic kingdom, our fist time here was extremely fun and enjoyable. The atmosphere was very different from other parks. Very scenic and very beautiful. Wish we took more pictures but we were having so much fun, allot to take in, in one visit. When we come back Animal Kingdom will be our first stop for sure. We loved it so much that we stayed to the very end.

Animal kingdom was great! I love the atmosphere. The landscaping is beautifully and most of the rides are pretty good. There are excessive lines in pandora though.

Enjoy Disney, the park was not as busy so it was a perfect day to visit

Animal Kingdom has really grown as a park and now is on our must-do list with the addition of Pandora. The new land is simply amazing and has one of the best rides - Flight of Avatar. The safari is also a highlight and favorite for us. Every safari is different. Going in the early morning or right before sunset is the best. The park also has some other very nice areas and it is a lot of fun. Looking forward to the new expansions.

Love this park. Get there early to ride the most popular rides, and you'll have a great day. If you go late, you will encounter very long lines, and you won't see it all. Wish people wouldn't run to get on the flight ride. We encountered very rude pushing, shoving guests and even crying mothers first thing in the am. Rest of the day was fine, but be prepared for Pandora rush. Disney tries to keep the order, but it isn't happening. People lose their decency, but even if people run past you, you'll get on the ride quickly as long as you are at the park one hour before it opens. No joke!

Awesome experience. We had so much fun with all the rides and the exhibition. Customer service great, staff is super friendly.

Fascinating place, even if expensive. Approach it relaxed, don't try to hurry and just frustrate yourself. Great people-watching! Really interesting shows, special effects well done. Plan on ALL day!

Unbelievable cool at night. We did Disney after hours and it was well worth the money. Got to ride all rides available in 5 minutes or less. No wait time at all. Free popcorn, ice cream and soft drinks. Alot less crowded and stressful. A must do at Disney!

Beautiful, relaxing environment. Everything is themed perfectly, and the conservation enclosures for all of the wildlife is world class!

Went just for Pandora (Avatar) area. It was rainy most of the day due to Eta, but still very cool and worth it. The flight of passage was easily the best ride in Disney I think. Safety protocols due to COVID were take seriously throughout the park, which made us feel more comfortable being there. The Safari ride was actually very cool too and worth doing.

Only has 7 rides, so all of them have an over 100 minute wait at all times. Also, the people who have Fast Passes already get to go in a separate line but they also load that line 2 to 1. Extremely inefficient and would only recommend if you want to stand in line all day.

Animal Kingdom is like the best zoo you have ever been to but on steroids. Amazingly clean, tons to do and the staff are all amazing.

We had lunch at the Tusker House and showed up 25 minutes early and they were able to accommodate us so that our family could squeeze a fast pass in at another spot.

Be sure you visit Pandora and ride the Avatar Flight of Passage.

This park is absolutely beautiful. The tree of life is amazing at night and is a must see. There is a restaurant in Pandora that has amazing quick meals.

Not impressed with this place, even with the parks being nearly empty. There was almost nowhere to get food. The cast members were rude, distracted, and very unlike any Disney experience we have had before.

It is the best park in all the 4 parks. Everest is the best ride. I was told Flight of passage is the best ride in the Disney world but I felt the glasses can be fully covered in that one to increase the experience. Food was good too.

Did the backstage at the elephant exhibit was hoping to be a little closer but the guides made the experience great. Their knowledge of the animals was top notch and they knew each animal by name and discussed their individual personality. We had a great time.

By far the best park. When we go again animal kingdom and magic Kingdom will be on our to do list! In the morning we were greated by birds in just an AMAZING show. I wish i had more time in Florida to go! so amazing!!!!!

Minimal people and controlled crowds due to limited availability. Hot day but felt like a VIP.

This park felt like going to a zoo and had many animals to look at. Avatar was a 4.5 hour wait for the ride and wrapped around the section. The boat ride was about 60 minute wait and was short but lovely to see. While you are in line you are covered from the sun which is nice but it does get hot and sticky in there so be sure to bring some water or towel to help keep you cool. While in line there was a guy who passed out due to getting over heated. Loved being able to see the animals and the tree of life was great to see all the animals craved into the tree. Most of the rides had waits of over 60 mins even after they opened at 9am. Just be prepared to play games in line and take in the beauty of the park.

So much fun at Animal Kingdom! My favorite ride is Flight of Passage. It s definitely an experience!! My daughter loves Expedition Everest! Getting to see the animals up close and personal and in such a natural setting is amazing!

The animals are amazing and of course it's a Disney park so there's that. It would give it done stars but the cast members this time just don't seem to have the joy that they normally have. Maybe it's because of everyone having to wear a mask all the time and that makes for a tiring day.

Wonderful park, many animals in a natural environment. Some amazing rides, lots of countries to visit sharing their culture & music.

While it has less crowds than Magic Kingdom, it has fewer rides. Avatar rides were a minimum of 200+ minutes of wait time for a 1 minute ride! 145$ one day ticket to stand 3-4 hrs in line for just one ride. The avatar flight ride was delayed and running on reduced capacity increasing wait times to 4hrs! Then they closed it down! Insane!

Everest for which we had a fast pass was closed half way through and another attraction in Dinosaur land was closed as well.
Basically the top attractions were closed and no refund.
Disney needs to limit the number of tickets or seriously consider providing time slots when issuing tickets, esp for the popular rides. It s exhausting and annoying for everyone, especially for little kids who have no source of entertainment during these long waiting periods.

Can t Disney at least install TVs and play movies to keep them distracted? For the amount of money charged, it s a complete rip off. I d rather visit Universal where the wait times are less and the rides are worth it!

Amazing dance parties for all ages, enjoyable scenery and a variety of interaction from exotic birds to the amazing shows (Lion King).

Everything was so beautiful and the park employees were very nice and making sure everyone were wearing there mask at all time.

This is by far my favorite park! I love it. It's gorgeous and pandara will literally stun you with the level of detail put Into this place!! My favorite ride at Disney is here as well... Everest! Such a rush to ride this. Most people are nervous about this ride and the wait is never long because of that. I encourage everyone to ride it. Its not that bad! I love exploring this park and enjoying the animals as well!

The safari ride was amazing and I would highly recommend going on it a few times during your visit. If you do one of the last runs of the night as it gets dusk you will see the lions are more vocal and be able to see the more nocturnal movers.

Best park among all , it connects you with nature. If you are a nature lover like me, you will LOVE it!!

Not much to the park. But we love the safari and we always love to see the animals during the Trail walk. Needs something else though. Its definitely still a "half day park"

Greatest park ever! Pandora is incredible!

Parking for priority is 45 dollars and 22 dollars for regular...not free to park! The park is beautiful...just amazing. The souvenirs will set you back quite a penny. Mickey light up bubble wands are 27 dollars and the blue water fan will set you back 22 dollars. I wanted to give 4 stars and hit 5 and app would not let me change stars. My rating is 4 stars because of the parking... excessive rates to park ...and you pay over 100 dollars for the ticket to actually go into the park and souvenirs !!! It s good to know that Disney lets it s employees go to college and they pay tuition! So all in all the trip was amazing. Be sure to fast pass online saves wait time so much... go to pandora just amazing the workmanship of the park.. it is a magical place !! Don t forget to take the safari ride as well!

Great rides, full six hours here, not sure I would go back but enjoyed my day there.

Best disney park hands down. Was not able to do any of the new avatar rides but it is still a really good park. Hardly any lines. We went on a saturday and were able to enjoy the park with the little ones. Lots of things for the kids to do!

It was nice since it was my first time going. I didn't see many animals, maybe because it was too hot. I did really enjoy the Lion King performance.

Animal Kingdom is the reason to go to DWorld. Avatar ride is my favorite ride in all of Disney. It was worth the hour wait.

Beautiful park, very well kept. However we weren't able to use our fast because everything got sold out. I miss the days were you wear a bracelet and go in line. So I took 1 star off for that because we just ended up walking around and checking out the park. The tree of life is amazing, the walk through Africa and Asia so pretty. The naby tiger got up and posed for us. This is a super family friendly place, but go super early if you want to skip the lines or book your fast pass.

I will have to say no customer service beats Disney's, its truly a happy place to be.

Nothing like being centered in the middle of Disney magic that also allows you to feel that you are in an oasis filled with jungle wonders.

I really liked it. I would gladly go back it was so much fun. You got to interact with the singer usually the people that were dressed up. And it felt really welcoming. But becuse it is Disney there was a lot of people!

This park is so fun and different than the other parks. The safari is amazing, and the Avatar ride!! Incredible! It is hands down the best ride I've been on. We really enjoyed the food as well. The Bao buns are to die for!

Best of all Disney parks. Will be back. Truly truly an immersive experience in countries and concepts from around the world. Details and feel are of the highest caliber. You cant really describe it. Just go!

Had a fun time visiting animal kingdom for the first time. Thankful we had a fast pass for the pandora ride which was really a fun experience. The staff here was the most polite of any Disney staff we've encountered as well.

Animal kingdom is probably our favorite park out of all of Disney world! The girls loved the safari ride. Avatar is a must do for the fast passes- we didn t think it would ve been worth the 160 minute wait- but if you can snag a fast pass on it it s amazing!! The character dinner at Tuskers with Donald and friends was so much fun and great food!! Highly recommend

Don't miss all the animals. It's like a zoo and amused park in one.

It was amazing and my fiance and I had a great time all except for not being able to get a break from our mask in 100 degree weather. We tried to take them off for only one minute to get get a break when no one was around and we were immediately chased down and yelled at. It was very over-the-top. Other than that, amazing! If u want to go, we suggest waiting until the weather cools down because the mask seriously amplifies the heat.

Animal Kingdom is good and for a group of 2 or 3 it is a half-day park on a slow to moderate day

Was very nice! Animals are well taken care of, and the park was very clean. There is plenty of shade as well due to trees on trails. Will go again.

Very nice park. Some excellent rides. Pandora is amazing. Just wish they would put some smoking areas back as people just walk around and smoke/vape anyways.

Would rather have traded this day for another at universal. Not a good place to be on a hot day, limited seating in air conditioned areas. Really this park is designed to make you walk a lot with little entertainment. Everest was a good ride, but we would not wait 130 min for avatar. The plants and Pandora area were really well done , but other than that really a wasted day.

Absolutely amazing day. Such fun. Did the after hours tickets and it was so worth it.

Fantastical! This place is amazing. It truly is magical and more amazing than we expected. From Africa to Asia, to the safari, Everest, petting zoo, gorillas, Pandora (the land of Na'vi from the movie Avatar), train to Rafiki's, "Up" bird show, tree of life, and "bioluminescents" absolutely everything was outstanding. The "Flight of Passage" was hands down the best ride ever. Make sure you see it at night too! Don't miss this park! It's awe inspiring!

This is a great part, we got there early to make sure we got on flight of passage. they do open the gate a bit early so make sure you're there at least an hour early so you can be one of the first to enter the park and get in line for the sought-after rides. The kids loved riding on the animal Safari ride as they got to see a lot of the animals Disney has on the property.

In my opinion, and feedback from my 3 kids (ages 5,8 and 18), this park is better than Epcot or magic kingdom and similar to Hollywood studios. Overall the lines are long and everything is ridiculously overpriced. The kids enjoy the rides but to them it is not worth the long wait times. The 3 fast pass would be good but you need to book weeks ahead to get the good rides with fast pass. Overall I don't think it is a good use of time or money

The whole family love going only thing I would do different is instead of going early I would go at night next time

This place feels so authentic. They really did evrything they could to get every little detail into each of the lands to allow the guests to feel Immersed and as if they were actually in another country. The safari ride is a lot of fun just note that you might get the occasional no show from some of the animals. Expedition ever eat is one of my favorite Disney coasters in Florida. And there are so many other great rides as well.

This place is really a dream come true!!!!!!!, avatar, flight of passage has a 4d ride that is the best 4d ride in the world, Harry Potter cant even compare, soooooo good!!! Recommend 1000000000000000 to the 99th place percent!:3

First time to Walt Disney World. We went to Animal Kingdom first and had a blast. We didn't get to see everything, but what we did see was wonderful. A lot of neat exhibits with a bunch of different animals. Not many rides, but there is a lot to see. The Everest ride was an absolute blast!

Great theme park for young children. There are animals throughout the park to see places rides. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. There is an awesome safari ride to see animals. It's also themed around different countries a lot like Busch Gardens.

This park was amazing. The Avatar Flight of Passage ride was worth the wait.

We love animal kingdom, there is so much to do that you can't possibly complete in 1 day. The first time we went on the safari we were amazed. You were completely transformed and didn't feel as if you were at a theme park.
Expedition Everest is a great roller coaster, try to get a fast pass, the wait can get very long.

Animal Kingdom has great rides and some great food options. Santu'li Canteen by the Pandora exit has great rice bowls with your choice of meat & sauce. The Safari ride is perfect for seeing the animals earlier in the day and lots of music played throughout the park. Kids love Everest and Pandora as well as the Lion King show. Lots of cast members have trading pins in this park!!

Really take the time to explore this park. There is a lot to see.

The park is one of my favorites. Beautifully decorated, great food, fun rides and a lot to see. However, the wait times are ridiculous for Pandora's rides and a restroom mid line would be appreciated if your going to have to wait 4 hours in line to ride.

Living in the Orlando are, we have pretty much soured on Disney in general. Too much of everything.
Went with a friend wwho had free passes and had a fairly decent time. Everest was down till mid afternoon. 60 to 180 minute waits for most of the big rides. And everything is way way way too expensive. 15.00 for a McDonalds quality burger is just nuts. But the European and Asian tourists will pay the prices so there is no sense in lowering them.
And twenty five dollars to park is of course a gouge. Especially since it is 100.00 plus per person park admission.
Park and restrooms are as clean as possible considering the amount people in the park. Bumper to bumper you could say.
The exhibits are extra high quality even in some of queues. The animals on the safari ride are simply magnificent.
The rest is typical Disney. Souvenir shops and kiosks everywhere in sight. Plenty of tourists standing aloofly in the middle of pedestrian traffic flow.
Would never ever pay to go to a Disney theme park. But if this is the type of outing you may enjoy, go for it as you will probably have fun. Lots to see and plenty of overtired crying children. Happy happy joy joy

If you Google it, it will tell you everything you need to know. Fun, family oriented, really cool animals to look at, it feels like you're walking through a jungle and my daughter and I went on the Pandora Avatar rides there are two and one of them is 3D and you're actually sitting on one of the dinosaurs and you're flying and it really feels like you're flying and it sprays like a mist of water if you're diving down and your wing hits the water you feel like a little Spritz of air it has smells of the rainforest. And the structure that they built for it is absolutely beautiful the other Avatar Pandora ride is a slow-moving boat ride inside the Pandora underworld everything is glowing with black lights so it's very very colorful and the noises of the animals. Both rides are about four and a half to 5 minutes long and the wait line was about an hour and a half two hours if you didn't already do the fast pass. the fast pass has been reserved for years to come. I highly recommend the animal kingdom it is fun and interesting for all ages. Make sure you bring enough money to any theme park because the food is very expensive unless you bring your own snacks and a Backpacker carry on they do have a lot of security and they will go through your bags and you walk through a metal detector but it's just for everyone's safety so I don't mind that at all. Be there as early as possible if you need to rent a wheelchair or scooter. Start saving now in order to receive the 3-day pass 4 day pass or the yearly pass if you are a Florida resident it is a little cheaper. I give it a five-star if I could give more I would.

One of our favorite locations! This time the safari adventure was spectacular! The animals were very active and we got lots of great time spent out there! The shows are fun and provide a great break in activity.

My family are all fans of the Mt Everest ride, its unique and stands the rest of time. The yak and yeti restaurant is a family fav, reservations highly recommended. I ve seen 2 hour waits!

In warmer months the rapids ride is great!

What's not to love, it's Disney. Visiting post pandemic is an experience like none other. Hardly any wait time for rides. Many of which we walked right onto or rode several times. We also got to discover rides in the park we had never had time for before or didn't know existed. Not to mention we actually had the luxury of time to slow down and experience the wildlife.

I had not been there first time for me. I loved every little bit of it. Sorry I couldn't get on the Avatar ride it was broken. But I will be back.

It was on the cooler side today 60 degrees F. The animals were definitely out to be seen on the safari. The new Pandora ride was exceptional. Smaller crowds made for very short waits. The Tree of Life is always impressive. When it's a hot day get to the safari first thing in the morning or you might miss some of the animals.

A shame it took me this long to finally visit this park. It is officially my favorite Disney park. There is fun and attractions for all ages. There were no corners cut the park has taken attention to detail to the absolute max. The Safari ride was one of the best experiences I have had during a ride through you can notice the care behind the animal Care and habitat. It beautiful to see how the roam freely within there area and how their safety and health is a priority. One day is not enough to enjoy any of the parks and this one is no different. The Everest (Yeti attraction) is phenomenal. But for the faint of heart. The new Pandora (Avatar) attraction shows how Disney continues to raise the bar. Beautiful details throughout the area but flight of passage will not disappoint in the slightest. Currently long wait times and lines (longest in my visit) but take my word worth every minute. You will be amazed with this beautiful attraction and VR ride that will have all of your senses involved and pleased. I will return!

Love Animal Kingdom. Avitar: Flight or Passage is arguably the best ride at Disney. It is the only one I would wait two hours to ride. Pandora is breathtaking at night.

I loved it. I went with my daughter and son n law and 2 grand daughters. The animals were awesome. I was so impressed with the way they cleaned between riders walking around and wiping railings.

This is a really nice Disney park. There is a lot to do and see here. They have so many wonderful animals. Don't miss the Safari ride! You can view some animals up close. Pandora was very pretty. A beautiful work of art. There was not much to do there. The 2 rides there had over 2 hour waits to ride. I would definitely suggest getting a fast pass in advance. My favorite thing to do there is The Festival Of The Lion King show!!! This show was absolutely amazing!! The performers were extremely talented!!! I am so glad I got to see it!!! I recommend getting a fast pass for this one as well.

This was a great experience for our family, despite the masks and covid situation. We had a blast and will be back after they fully re-open.

Spent most of out time in Pandora, as you can see from the pictures!! The two rides they have there are more than worth the wait, and the aesthetics of the nature around shows how detailed and dedicated they were in recreating the world of Avatar!! Glad I finally managed to make some time to go see it!
