The view that is close to the beach makes us relax and can get a beautiful sunset

In June (2017) 19 of my close family and friends headed to Bali for my little sisters 30th birthday. We have travelled to Bali many many times and this was the first time we stayed at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel.
We were not disappointed, check in was a breeze (Just make sure you bring the credit card you made the booking with) the room was large and well appointed.
The staff at the Kartika Plaza are why I will never stay anywhere else in Bali again, by day three they knew my name and where I wanted to sit for breakfast.
I have never seen so many happy staff in one place, nothing was too much bother, we celebrated 4 birthdays while staying there. We were greeted by 10+ staff, a cake and lots of Happy Birthing to you at breakfast on each birthday morning.
On the topic of Breakfast, it was amazing so many choices, whether you wanted Indonesian, the Asian or western food you were spoilt for choice. From fresh carved tropical fruits, exquisite pastries and bred, scrumptious omelettes, waffles and pancakes, traditional nasi goreng, sup Ayam and Telur Balado. As well as a huge selection of cereals and freshly squeezed juices.
Lunches and cocktails by the and sometimes in the pool were also on point! Many a burger, club sandwich, Margherita or Bali Hai were consumed.
The buffet dinners were also fantastic, so many choices but I have gone on way too long about the food.
The Spa was also worth visiting it may be more expensive than the places down the road but the extra $$$ is well worth it, the massages are 100 x better, the facilities cleaner and provide a much more relaxing environment.
Location location location with discover mall next door and so many places to eat and shop at within walking distance you will be spoilt for choice.
I have never had a more memorable 17 days on a holiday and that s why I will be back time and time again, thanks to all of the staff for making our holiday one of the most memorable ever.
P.S Keep your eye out for an invite to the managers cocktail party, food, drinks, massages and entertainment provided by the staff.

Nice ( larger) hotel on beach front location.
Beautiful kept gardens, large pools with plenty of sun chairs.
Close to airport and lots of shopping and restaurants near by.
Hotel has been around a long time now , with some areas including the rooms ,getting a bit tired and require modernising.
Staff are and friendly and always happy to assist in any way.
Overall clean and tidy.
Would stay again and can highly recommend for a couple or family stay.

One of the biggest hotel in Tuban area.
The location is so convenient, it's close to the airport and Discovery Mall is just next door.
Breakfast is one of the best.

It's a good place to spend your night at Kuta. The place is near discovey mall and a little walk to beachwalk. U can find many foods near the hotel. The breakfast are so delicious. They have nasi goreng, pecel, etc. But, my room is kind of creepy. Right beside of my room there is a shower room. The shower room is so creepy. When my friend turn on the lamp which the button is outside. The door open by itself. Maybe it sounds paranoid but i'm really scared. Maybe they should change the door.

The place is good ... comfortable ... the food is delicious ... Only the tuk lift is a bit creepy ... then for the pool ... it's very busy ... I don't feel like it ...

The hotel is not far from the beach in Bali, the atmosphere is comfortable suitable for children because the play area is very wide .... Anyway, guaranteed not to be disappointed

Its great place .while dinner you can see sunset.with some bread from breadtalkshop youcan enjoy sunset with girl/boy friend sittingon the beach.

The hotel does not pull on 3 stars. The maximum cost is $ 20 per day. Internet is working very poorly. The signal in the room is 10 percent. Instead of windows in the room there are narrow doors to the balcony. The room is dark. The bathroom toilet is so old that everything is yellow and flush. Shower can be taken only in slippers for the beach, if you are afraid to pick up a fungus. It s not a new shower curtain that weighs !!! Ohhh 5 star hotel and shower curtain. Not new !!!!! And if you have a birthday or honeymoon, then don t even expect a compliment from the hotel! I do not recommend it to anyone !!!!!

Buffet Dinner at Lacucina @Discovery Hotel Kartika Plaza ... amazingly delicious, complete and inexpensive with various variants of food served ...

Don't really like this shopping mall especially at the entrance security checking. One of the security guard is very rude when do checking on my backpack. I am still wearing my backpack during checking because I have my toddler on my arm. Instead of unpack my bag, I just turn my backpack toward the guard for checking. And that time the other guard speak in bahasa Indo saying I should have unpack my bag for checking. The way he talk is very rude. I understand what he is talking because I came from Malaysia. I feel very uncomfortable. May be the management should look into this case seriously. The kids playground is kind of out of maintenance, very dirty. You can feel that because your hand and stoking is all black & sticky. The only beat thing in this shopping mall is coco restaurant in 1st floor. Comfortable place to relax and have meal with family. They even serve kids meal. I order chicken noodle and surprisingly my kids love it and finish the whole bowl

Good hotel facilities, tasty menu and directly facing the beach

Friendly, cheap and very strategic location, only minutes away from Kuta Beach. Not too clean, and some of the rooms need repair. Breakfast variation is good, love the bacon here. No complain for the price.

They made us eat ready to eat food.
It's a request to the hotel if you don't know how to make Indian cuisine then don't take such orders.

We went through the door on the sea side ... we decided to eat there and it was very nice. There was a giant screen where shorts were played. The food is gourmet and very tasty. The attention is very good. Regarding the price, it is the same as in other hotels.

A good property with average service, you should not expect more

Great self contained holiday destination with everything you could want on site. Step outside the front gate and you are right in hustle & bustle of Kuta. While my preference is the Seminyak area, I think Kartika would be a great holiday spot.

The hotel is right in front of Kuta beach. The first experience can stay directly on the beach. By the beach there is a path along a track that can be used for morning jogging while looking at Kuta beach. It could be one of the recommended places in Bali, especially Kuta. The service is also outstanding. When I take the wrong meal, I am not rebuked, but instead I say that it is special for you.

Absolutely amazing hotel and I would definitely stay again, the pool was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious and the rooms were really great, if the owner remembers the Davis' we're coming soon!!

A magnificent international hotel & complete amenities

The experience I had at the Discovery Kartika plaza was amaizing with all of the nice staff working hard for our safety I even met two other kids and they were also very friendly I think it would be great the next time I go there.

The yard is wide and green. The swimming pool is also spacious. The backyard of the hotel is a toy facility for children. And from the backyard of the hotel we can watch the sunset. Near to the airport and shopping.

Fantastic service here as well. Only.stayed one night due to a flight. But would definitely go back. On the ocean that has a giant pool with swim up bar. Staff were amazing as well. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Exceeded any expectations.

A very strategic place to stay if you have a vacation in Bali because it is located in the central tourist area of Kuta. Beautiful hotel view behind the hotel directly facing the beach next to it there is a mall. Swimimg pool is spacious and there is a kids zone. The breakfast menu is really good ..

It's similar to any Southeast Asian hotel, and the language is the same as Malay and 70%. So it's easy to tell if I'm in Kota Kinabalu or Bali.

The hotel has a fabulous ambience, fantastic pool, and I loved the breakfast place and overall experience. The rooms have that typical musty Bali smell caused by prevalent humidity, but Kartika Plaza delivers on that special holiday feel and the best thing is that it has large, quiet and private grounds that separates one from the familiar hustle and bustle of Kuta, Bali. Great place for vacation.

The place is in the tourist area of Kuta, where the streets are filled with tourists. Small parking lot. But the price is quite competitive considering the strategic location of the hotel.

Greats hotel to stay.. verry freindly staff. The breakfast buffet are verry much choice of food..i realy surprise never seen so much different kind of food on buffeet breakfast in many other hotels i had ever been.
