Discount Tire Company Review

Scheduled an appointment to have tires installed, pulled right in, no wait, and in less then 30 minutes my vehicle was out the door.

Excellent job, quick service, and great price on tires.

Staff was friendly and helpful just make sure you get an appoitment or you will be here a long time.

Discount tires always have awesome employees. I went to this one for a tire patch when I got a nail in the tread. All the employees I talked to were friendly and I assume knowledgeable (because this is how all Discount tires seem to be).
I will always buy my tires from Discount Tire, they have the best prices, if they don't they price match, they're always quick and offer some free services that are really nice like tire patching, balancing (if you bought the tires there) pressure check/inflation and rotation (if you don't do it yourself).

They're always super helpful and courteous even more so now that the pandemics going on

You can trust this place. Belle Tires on Carpenter Rd told my elderly mom she needed new tires due to dry rot. We came here and they said the tires were fine. They were also good to my dad, replacing a tire for free after he hit a curb. Honest, knowledgeable, and good service. We will go here from now on, even though it is on the other side of town.

I have tires from here. Go to Costco instead. They include the tire warranty at no extra charge.

I live in Ann Arbor Michigan, I had a couple of tires mounted at a Discount Tire in Dearborn Michigan but needed a few more done. I went to this location and they quoted me a price that was $20 more per tire. PER TIRE. That is outrageous to me. They were even off the vehicle. Ended up going to Belle Tire.

I've had good experiences here for many years---except on busy days. When they get inundated with more customers than expected, I've waited for almost an hour standing in line just to have them check me in. If you show up and they are really busy, be ready to wait several hours to get your work done. (Note: this is a business that encourages walk-ins)

Biggest thing I learned from the experience is to beat the crowd by just swapping your winter tires earlier than most people do. The damage done by driving in over 50 degrees for a couple days in negligible from what they told me, and you won't have to spend a bunch of time fighting the crowds...

Very solid DTC location.

The technicians are efficient and methodical. I observed the complete installation process of four BFG tires and their work was excellent.

Manager didn't have the best customer service but the sales representatives did. They were very busy on this occasion so I will give the manager the benefit of the doubt for not seeming genuine.

Been meaning to say thank you to Brian and Shawn who took care of me in such a timely and professional fashion a few weeks ago, dropped in with a leaking tire and I was in and out in what seemed like mere minutes. I gave the tech a tip (wish I had more on me to give him) he was so surprised, in fact commented that he is getting paid to do the job, I reminded him that being courteous and professional should be acknowledged, and I did was saying thank you personally. These folks deserve a round of applause, thank you to everyone who helped get me in and out that evening, be safe!

Came in with a bent steel wheel after hitting a pot hole. I was thinking for sure I needed a new wheel. Went to one tire place and they told me they could have a wheel in tomorrow. Went to the Ann Arbor Discount tire and not only did the have my wheel in stock, but they took a look at the bent wheel and determined that they could fix it. They fixed the wheel and quickly had me back on the road without charging me a thing. I was expecting the usual BS about how they need to change all 4 wheels a once and that I really should upgrade my wheels while I'm at it. Nick was great and the repair tech did a great job. I can't even tell that the wheel was bent.

Tom at this location was awesome! I purchased tires at another non discount tire location and was within the 45 day test drive window and was not happy with the ride quality of the tire. Tom did all he could to accommodate and got a new set of tires on with no problems. Customer service was fantastic, service was quick, and I would highly recommend this DT location. Great work Tom.

He got me exactly what I wanted, explained things very well, and gave me a great deal. I would highly suggest using this location. Everyone was great!

The only place in Ann Arbor I receive a real hand shake, seemingly genuine friendly conversation and rapid service without manipulative sales pitches and negotiation. This business is everything that Comcast is not. DO get tires here!

Great experience so far. Set a appointment for tire rotation and balance. Got me in and out quick! I highly recommend setting up an appointment a week in advance or get there within half an hour of them opening. Staff was friendly.

We had a flat tire on the way to our daughter's baby shower in Columbus, OH. These guys got us in right away and had us back on the road quicker than anticipated. Well done guys!!!

Great place for all tire needs. Had two slow leaks months later, they got me right in found a tiny nail fixed free.

I had a problem with my tire after a doctor's appointment at UM, and I went to this store since it was on my way home to Kalamazoo.

I was told it would take an hour to even look at my car. No one looked at it when I checked in, and I was told several cars were ahead of me. This, after I was told on the phone they could get me in fast and get me back on the road fast. Not at all. I watched them look at other cars, not mine, engage in banter with customers they knew while ignoring me and my car, and waited and waited.

If they tell you they can fix something fast, don't believe them.

They scratched 3/4 of my aluminum wheels when I took my Civic in for new tires. Scratches from the tire changing machine around the outer lip. How they manage to cause this kind of damage when tires are the one thing they specialize in is beyond my understanding. They probably would've compensated me in some way had I complained, but my wheels were already beat up and I planned to have them refinished/replaced anyway. But if you have new wheels or just don't want your wheels mishandled, do not take your car here.

Discount Tire offers the best prices in town AND provide great customer service! After last years Snowpocalypse, I decided to buy Winter Tires. Considering that the cost was going to take a huge hit on my savings account, I did a lot of shopping around. I found other dealers aggressively pushing higher end tires, when I made it clear that I could only afford the basic package (which is actually all I need!). Jason at Discount Tire mentioned the difference between the tires, but was never pushy. He was really helpful and made the process quick and easy.

They do what they say when they say they will do it.

I don't think you'll find a business with a more friendly staff.

Good fast service the second time around. First time around the tech didn't know that aftermarket rim's need hub rings. Took the car back for a horrendous shake and found out the weights were not right and the other tech said 95% of the time aftermarket rim's require hub rings. They had them in stock and was only there for an hour.

They are always busy.
There is a reason why.

I try to buy all my tires from them and they help me out with an occasional screw in the tire.

They are a good deal and always have been.

The man who helped me was very very nice. I told him I only had $200.00 to spend on 2 tires. He told me the cheapest one they had cost would be over $200.00 then he said "I gave u a discount (didn't say how much) to keep total to (few cents under) $200.00!!!! Use to go to Firestone. THEY NEVER DID THAT FOR ME when I had only so much for buying new tires. We WILL go back again & I'm recommending Discount Tire Jackson Rd. Ann Arbor. Oh & the man had a constant smile on his face!! A nice smile too!!!!

Everyone was very friendly and acknowledged customers who were waiting in line even though they were with someone else. They accommodated to my time constraint even though they were busy and I hadn't made an appointment. If you have a nail in the tire (in the tread) they will fix it for free compared to Bell Tire who charges $15.

Long wait with zero acknowledgement from staff. When I was finally helped I was told I had to wait another 2 hrs minimum just to fix a leaking tire. Went down the street and was taken care of right away. I won't shop this particular discount tire again.

It's a tire shop, not much else to expect. Able to get what was needed.

Bought two tires rep said 1.5 hours to replace. 3 hrs still not even in bay. Go anyplace else unless you want to kill your whole day waiting and watch others come and go

We were stranded on the 94 when a tire blew on our boat trailer. The service here at Discount Tire was very quick and efficient. The gentlemen who took care of me was very understanding and got me out quickly. Thank you so much!!

These guys do an excellent job and are very friendly. The only bad thing is that they take a long time to service you.

Had an issue with my tire - I came in close to closing time after work and they took my car right in, looked at it (no cost for them to take a look!), and found it was a valve problem. Since nothing needed replacing, they just fixed the valve at no cost. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful and I would recommend anyone here.

Great...they squeezed my car in at the very end of the day because my tire had a nail in it. I was so thankful!

Do not listen to advice on tire purchase. Twice I listened to them, twice I crashed on poor road conditions days after getting them.

Waited in line for 20 minutes to be told that 4 hours would not be enough time to swap my all season tires for winter tires. The staff are grumpy and a little incompetent with understanding how to navigate lines when the store isn't very busy.

There are not enough words to say how much I love this place! Got a flat on the highway, limped over to Discount Tire literally 10 minutes before they closed on a Friday and they fixed my flat, for free, and had me back on the highway in 30 minutes! They were so incredibly accommodating and nice, I wish I lived closer so I could come in more often!

Called ahead to make sure they had my tires in stock (they did), and they said they could fit me in though they didn't have any appointments open. I went by, and they finished everything in about 30 minutes, maybe less. Everyone I talked to was very polite and professional to me and other customers, and it seemed like a fair price (much cheaper than Goodyear, who also told me it would take two hours to do the work). A+

Manager Nick made sure we got took care of. Everyone was respectful. Lobby was clean.
