I have been trying for over 2 months to stop direct axis from debiting my bank for a closed account. I emailed twice got an auto reply.. 2 days and 2 days went by..no response. Been on the phone waiting for a customer services manager and was holding for about 15 minutes. No response from their customer services department!

I do not recommend Direct Axis. I paid off my loan fully last week and this morning they debited me again. Then I had to call 4 times which took over half an hour this morning just to get through to someone (the line kept cutting out while I was on hold for 10min at a time). After getting hold of someone they were quite unhelpful said the amount wasn't debited. I check with the bank and it was. The Direct Axis helpline wouldn't even email me something to follow up on. It was also surprisingly hard to get the details of how I was supposed to pay off the remainder of my loan. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to loan the money when it was needed, but I would rather find a loan provider that is more customer services oriented in future. I wasted hours on this.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to them. I've been struggling with them for four months now to correct my account and still shows in arrears as it was a fault on there side. I'm phoning ever week to waste my airtime and nothing gets done the account remains the same in arrears. They give horrible service I've send numerous of email up until today no reply on emails no phone calls but the quick to phone you if your account shows in arrears or you haven't made payment "just saying" I think the best thing for me is to expose and let everyone know about there pathetic service. I will expose them to the Voice news paper. Plus the charge me arrears amount of R12. 00 every month to my account and it's not even my fault that my account is in arrears. Not longer the this week your company will be exposed. You taking people for a ride and don't get back to us when you should.

The service and assistance from the call centre agents, and follow up staff through to the staff at documents has been friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful at all times. I was pleasantly surprised that service like this is still alive in South Africa. Well done to all.

A day later and no no one is answering their telephones, both call centre and settlement dept.

I vote 0 points. my reason being a few years ago I had a loan which i paid and ended up that Direct Axis owes me about R300.00 I phoned and spoke to an assistent just to be told the contract run for I think 36 months and that is how it was deducted. Never got my money back. My id 4803030027083. You owe my son R2088.59 his account number BIU86565X. He send you an email in November and another three requesting the above payment to be paid back into his account. You keep on making a nuisance of phoning him for another loan but you cannot refund him the money you owe him. My advise to other people rather loan from your bank at least you know they follow the rules.

am self employed and during lockdown had no income. spoke to them in april and they removed the debit order from my bank and told me to call them working. i did so and since i started working in july i called and was told i had been handed over to hp attorneys for non payment. contacted them and was told i now owed the full amount missed during lockdown since i am now working. i have since starting work again resumed paying direct axis the normal monthly installment. but why they want someone who has not worked for months to pay the arrears when they offered the payment relief? this should have been added to the loan amount like all other financial institutions are doing. and when i call them they tell me they will sort it out but then in a few days i get emails that state in 48 hours i must pay or i will have debt collections started????pathetic service and company do not use them

Direct Axis spends large amounts on advertising to lure clients but when it comes to customer service some of the promises made surely fails.
I paid my loan up in full on the 24/02/2017 and on the same day an installment was deducted from my bank account. I phoned Direct Axis to notify them about the installment and was promised it will be refunded. To-day is the 10/03/2017 and no refund yet. If you owe Direct Axis, interest is serious business but if it comes to the refunding of the customer`s money it does not matter. Now it will become a costly affair to get a letter from an attorney to be refunded. Never Direct Axis again!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I settled my account in full in Feb 2020 and have continued to be debited. I have lost half my income due to Covid and they have made me send form after form while not responding to emails and even hanging up on me. The account is paid up and in a time like this to continue to debit an account I owe nothing on is appalling.

I have wasted more than an hour to get hold of Direct Axis to get a settlement amount. None of the numbers work (neither the call centre, customer care or debt consolidation number). You're stuck wasting airtime while on hold. And the best of all, I still don't have my settlement amount. They're very quick to give you a loan but sketchy when you want to settle.

Very quick to give you a loan, but dont assist you with anything after that. I've been retrenched. I phone them, i phone hollard, where their insurance is at. But nothing. Not help at all. Their consultants keep on transferring you from one to the other,until you get tired and hang up. Really frustrating

PATHETIC, TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, POOR SERVICE.

You can hardly get through to them. Their lines are forever busy or experiencing high call volumes and then your call gets dropped automatically.

You can send emails till you're blue in your face...yhey don't acknowledge or respond to your emails..

To this hour we are waiting to be called back as per the consultants we've spoken to.

Arguably the most pathetic of a poor bunch. I have been trying to obtain a settlement letter for 3 weeks. Zip. I have been trying to get a detailed transaction listing for even longer. No such luck. Something is being hidden and the proficiency of call centre staff is shocking. However , a fish does rot from the head they say. I can also not get any input as to whether the Covid loan relief has been correctly applied. And the bosses sit in their ivory towers sipping tea.................

I paid the total settlement amount to Direct Axis on 17 October 2016 and used the Reference number that was given to me telephonically. It turned out to be Westbank Vehicle Finance Services' account number and not the Direct Axis ' account number. The bank details are the same. I have struggled now for 2 weeks to get the payment allocated to my Direct Axis account. Customer Services are not at all helpful. I tried to email the proof of payment,but the email bounces back all the time. Please help!!!!!!

I've been retrenched on the 25th of February 2018. I've emailed all my retrenchment documentation (certified) to them since then as I have a Protection Plan for retrenchment.

Up till now, no response, they refuse to help, but keep phoning me for their money.

Still got all emails send to them with dates, etc. and they just don't care, getting threads that I SHALL pay my account and more.

I called again this morning and your agent told me that it'll take 5 to 10 business days to get a refund and close the account. This totally unacceptable! Your service is very poor. Service is VERY VERY BAD, complaints department doesn't exist. NO agent or manager has any idea of what they are acutally doing. A month of no resolution to any of the problems caused directly from there inabillity to do there jobs. They are unable to give correct the balance and settlement from a court order. Just unacceptable for me to be unable to settle this account for a month now! Still waiting for the mangers Johan vd Merwe's urgent response. Stay far away as possible!!!

If I could provide less than 1 star I would;

I am not employed and my employment was terminated in October last year. I have struggled to make a payment on a monthly basis of my account. During lockdown, even worse, and in May I started initiating a claim for payment relief. The policy sites IUA as the providers who will look into and assist with the claim. I have forwarded motivation letters, bank statements etc. Only 4 days ago (11 Sep), was I requested to forward a copy of my employment termination letter.

When I speak to IUA, I am told that they are urgently awaiting a copy of my contract and that they have requested this from Direct Axis on numerous occasions. I am also told that there is a company called MBD that are no handling accounts/contracts for Direct Axis?

For some reason, my contract is not loaded on the system and IUA are unable to view this.

In the meantime, Direct Axis phone me 4 times a day!!

How can you expect someone who is unemployed and due to Covid and lockdown, and is struggling immensely, pay arrears??

Why is Direct Axis, like all other financial institutions are doing, not assisting with payment relief and a payment plan for their clients?

Pathetic service and company do not use them!

28/09 Update. Standard reponse from Direct Axis... "apologies for the terrible service, certainly not how we want to conduct ourselves".....

1 WEEK later, still NO call from customer service or anyone actually wanting to assist. Still NO copy of contract sent to IUA as requested (why copy of contract is not loaded on system anyway?). And NOW I receive a sms that I've been handed over to attorneys! WOW WOW! Just disgusting and shocking!!!!!

And when you go to Directaxis email, all their emails are returned as Email address not found.
