I love love love their brisket plate.The only downfall is you can't buy it by the pound that & their salad is delicious . Next time I'll order 2 brisket plates it's that good that I don't mind un-buttoning my jeans to make room

You think bar-bill has the best wings?? Ha! Their 'Best of the best ' wings are just a pleasant addition to this excellent food. I wish my next wife to have something close to this culinary prowess

Some of the best ribs I've had in a long time. Definitely a unique atmosphere as well.

They simply have amazing food. Their brisket and ribs are to die for and I strongly suggest getting the mac and cheese as a side. The music they play is also good and fitting with the theme of the rest of the resteraunt's artwork and etc.

Best BBQ ever!! Will cross the border more often just to come again. Smells amazing and tastes even better. Staff show interest in their customers too so service is great. And perfect atmosphere that goes with BBQ food. A wonderful experience!

The atmosphere here is the best. Authentic and bluesy feel. I always take out of towners here. Sometimes the wait can be 45 mins or so but the brisket is worth the wait.

Love this place. Great food, nice microbrew selection. Parking is challenging. Busy and noisy as hell. Not for a quick stop. Prices are area average.

Amazing food, good prices, good beers, not very big and was packed when we went!

My husband and I were married 2 weeks ago. We went to Dinosaur bbq for dinner that night because it was where we met 13 years ago. We've had good food in the past there but this time the ribs were terrible. We had gotten the sweetheart deal,the ribs were burnt and dried out. It was a real disappointment on our special day.

Amazing food, great bustling atmosphere. Be willing to wait at popular hours, because this location is BUSY. Brisket melts in your mouth, smoky ribs, tender chicken, and every side I've tried has been consistently delicious. Great place for a large group or drinks and dining with a few friends. Maybe a little too loud for an intimate date.

Highly impressed as soon as I walked in. It smelled like a real smoke house and the vibe inside was great. The food was great and they have a great beer selection. Who would of thought New York had good BBQ.

After the 6th screw up by Door dash, I called the restaurant, and went to pick it up myself. Quick response by the restaurant, great service recovery! Food was awesome. My picky 7 year old loved the bbq pork! Thank you very much! Will order it again next time in town. I grew up on west KY BBQ, this was excellent!

This is the kind of place we made hours long pilgrimages to growing up. Everything on the menu is fantastic and the platters are a great way to load up on a variety of meats. You can't pick just one. The addition of house beers has really made this place a treasure. Also the music here is great- what more could one ask for?

Great bar-b-que place to visit. We had tried a night before and it had an hour wait so we tried today for late lunch - early dinner and we had no wait. Place certainly was not empty . Most of the tables were occupied with customer.
Our server was nice and patients and made great suggestions for us - novice to this establishment. We had enjoyed our food alot and would like to visit again.

Very popular restaurant (we waited for aproximately 1 hour). We had great service, providing suggestions to choose from the menu. The server even help my vegetarian friend to choose the vegetarian side dishes.
I ordered the 3 dishes combo (pulled pork, ribs and brisket), flavor was really good: smoky, right amount of sweet and spices that were not hot. though, in the vinagry side of the spectrum. The dollar value was very good! Definitely a place to visit.

Love this place! So many great options here for everyone. If you love barbecue, you ll love this place. Even their deviled eggs are scrumptious! Everything s huge portion & a little messy to eat.. but it s worth it. You ll definitely want to take a nap after finishing the meal though.

My only dislike is it s a little dark inside & very loud at times.. there s usually a long wait so be prepared for that.

This place is always memorable. We spend a lot of time in the south. When people realize we are from Central NY the first thing they ask if Dinosaur is still open, then the second that the bq was awesome. Love their house salad dressing. The food is right on. Fast service.

Had to try this place while I was in town. It's always cool to hit up semi historic eateries. The food was great! Had a pulled pork plate with BBQ beans and greens and all was very good. They actually have an ok selection of draft beer too. The prices are definitely higher than you would expect at most BBQ places but I kinda expect it at big name places like this. Definitely worth hitting up if you have time.

I have had Dinosaur BBQ before from catered events and the NYS State Fair, but wow the atmosphere, the quick and friendly service, appetizing BBQ sandwich and beans were excellent! Well worth the quick wait of 1 hour on a Saturday night, considering I got my food in 15 minutes!

Honestly my favourite restaurant. Even when there is a lineup it's worth the wait. The best BBQ I've ever had and there's something on the menu for everyone. Mac and cheese is sneaky good. Fries are always crispy on the outside fluffy inside with just the right amount of salt. This place even does desert right.

The Dino is a staple in Syracuse, and for good reason! Whenever I'm in town I make sure to go here with my family.

This is the best BBQ place in town, bar none. The combo platter is my go to order, two choices for an affordable price and two

delicious sides. Get the three choice version if you're truly hungry.

One of my favorite restaurants in Syracuse. The food is always delicious, some of the best BBQ I have ever had! It is definitely a touristy place and the wait is very long, pretty much every day of the week for dinner. Not the best customer service around and the servers rush you out like no other (obviously since they are trying to move people). The awesome food makes up for it in my opinion.

Wouldn t recommend for large parties or celebrations though. Very much a place for 1-4 people. Any more and you will have an even longer wait and the staff certainly doesn t let you hang around long enough to celebrate.

Enjoyed my last visit very much. Food seemed to be much better than last time and the portion seemed bigger. Not quite the the same as a southern BBQ out it's pretty good again

Fun and entertaining atmosphere. The BBQ is excellent! I lived in Texas most of my life, so I know good BBQ. The bark on the brisket and ribs were perfect. The pink line from the smoke was there. The ribs didn't fall of the bone, but had a little pull to get it off. The rib-eye just melted in my mouth. The greens were delicious, not bitter at all! I can't think of a better place in Syracuse, NY to get great BBQ.

We absolutely love the Syracuse Dinosaur BBQ location. We are from Philly area and if we are passing by slways stpp. Tonight i had the Mahi tacos with a half rack of ribs. The Mahi was grilled perfectly. Nice and moist and topped with cabbage . Not a dry spot on the Mahi. The ribs were yummy, tasty, grilled to perfection. Always a highlight when were are near Syracuse!!!!

We gathered food for a family birthday party. Food is always great and service was quick and professional.

The atmosphere here is amazing the original location where it all started. It still is a biker restaurant but more family friendly then it once was. The pulled pork is my favorite here. Just be prepared to wait. The restaurant is very busy on Syracuse game days.

It's been years since I've been to the dinosaur BBQ but I was blown away. I feel like a lot of the time dinosaur BBQ is overhyped but in this case it was totally spot-on. the blues Burger which one I had was fantastic and the blue cheese was incredible on it. The mac and cheese I had as a side was really really good and I loved the chili powder that was sprinkled on top. My last side was french fries and they were nice and crispy like I like them. It was a five out of five experience and I would recommend eating here any day.

Never had a bad experience here. Food is great. Service is good. And despite it always being crowded on weekends, they get you in and served relatively quickly. I could see some people not liking the atmosphere (it's kind of a dive, but that's part of the charm). If you're not one of those people, I highly recommend Dinosaur Barbecue.

Great food, however they ran out of chicken wings, could not believe it. Right as the surprise birthday party started , so if you had not got some wings you were out of luck.

Can I Give 10 Stars? Or more?... AnyWays if you are a die hard BBQ Fan The ST. LOUIS STYLE RIBS Are literally out of this world. The organization of this crew was superior. Super packed and they handle it like champs! Not one complaint...

Carry out during pandemic, very well done. All the food was amazing as always.

This place is always crowded and there is the most simple reason for it. Yes Food. The food at this place is phenomenal. You are looking at the south "pitmaster" level of taste and satisfaction here. IF you are in Syracuse and you want to eat amazing bbq food , look nowhere else.

Good meat keeps them going. They have some issues to address.

1. The mashed potatoes are instant.
2. Everything is Cajun seasoned. Just to let you know.
3. The floor was extremely slippery from a combination of grease and rain.
4. To get to the restroom you walk a hall between kitchen and cooler doors. You smell garbage and old meat blood.
5. Cornbread was burned.

You guys can do better.

Good BBQ. Long lines but make sure you stay to hear your name called. We were told 30 minute wait and so we walked around and missed our name being called 15 minutes into waiting. We went on a Saturday night and they ran out of ribs. Make sure you go early enough if you want ribs.
I really liked the baked beans because they had chunks of meat in it.

It's remarkably okay. It's really good barbecue, but it is nowhere NEAR the best. Noisy as hell but the unlimited sauces are pretty damn tasty.

They do bbq right. Even better is the service provided there. They know how to get people in, fed and never seem to rush anyone. Great training if staff. Pit master knows his bbq!

This is a must stop.

Didn't like the temperature. It was really stuffy in the bar and the food was just okay.

Its okay. There was a lot of liquid smoke and not a lot of other favor. The cornbread was dry. The mixed drinks were good though.

The alligator here was scrumptious but the guard dogs were also attracted to it and they attacked me! Luckily i was able to escape with my friend abdullah

Food was good nothing special, would not travel out of my way for Dinosaur BBQ. Service was absolutely terrible, waitress seemed super annoyed at us when we order drinks and food.

The staff here are very friendly and the food is fantastic. It's no wonder they won Best BBQ in America.

Saw this place on multiple television shows so had to try it. Great BBQ all around. The smoked hot link sausages are amazing. Very good ribs, and I've had some of the best in the country. Great brisket, the smoke is clearly visible from the pink edges. Wings were very good as well. They give you different sauces to try. All were good, and the spicy one was seriously hot. Be prepared to wait, we went for Saturday lunch and it was packed.

Amazing BBQ! My husband and I always make Dinosaur a priority when we visit family in Syracuse. I've never had bad food or bad service. Being from the south, I really know what BBQ should taste like and dinosaur is on point. The Mac n cheese and collard greens are also wonderful!

Great place, stopped in on the way home from a long road trip for takeout to the motel. Wished we ordered more. Ribs are outstanding.

We were here for the first time in 2006.the place has not lost any of it's Charme and popularity. A cult! Food is great.

Google asked why I liked: Diablo sauce. Savory. You'll leave happily full. Friendly staff. Blues and rock playing, live in evening. But the food is why you'll return.

When I moved to Syracuse I ate here becusse everyone said it's amazing. It wasn't but awesome atmosphere. I decided to give it three more chances and still didn't like the food. Not my thing I guess but we all have different taste so I understand why people love it.

I went to their competition and loved it right away and I always return there for dinner with the wife.

I had the pulled pork sandwich. The pork was great. It was little light on barbecue sauce but I could have put some more on. The macaroni and cheese was good but not top level. This place is super busy. However they are great at getting you seated. The food comes out very fast. All together they do great barbecue. Our server was super awesome and very nice there was another server who was cranky and yelling at people cuz she was coming through with food.

Food and atmosphere is fantastic. Best bbq in NY hands down and I've been all over!!! Definitely recommend trying Dinosaur if you haven't already been.
