A beautiful place where the animals can roam freely. It is worthy of recommendation. Top park.

If you want to see everything you have to walk a lot. Polar bears are really special. Jungle is beautiful. Sand / steppe not special, but fun for small children (kids guinea pigs) etc. Much eatery. Chickenburger tasted excellent

Beautiful zoo! Even on cold, rough days, there is plenty to see and do in the indoor areas.

An absolutely outstanding park. Only the Arctic area is a bit "boring" compared to the other two, but is upgraded by the 4D cinema. Who likes polar bears and Co., but also comes here at his expense. Otherwise the wildlands are worth 5 stars. Attention Parking! That can certainly once more with 10 euros to book, if you spend the day in the wildlands.

Nice zoo, but without a 50% voucher we would not have been there, since the entrance is very expensive.

Dierentuin volgens een nieuwe opzet die het midden laat tussen "expercience" en de oude principes van een dierentuin. Je moet als bezoeker zelf wat meer op zoek naar de aanwezigheid van de verschillende dieren. Een en ander oogt nog wat nieuw en kaal maar is over het algemeen wel goed doordacht en innovatief neergezet. Je treft bijvoorbeeld een treinstel aan wat je kunt betreden, waarmee je dichterbij de verschillende dieren kunt komen. Heel leuk bedacht.
Voor mij was de vlindertuin het mooiste onderdeel van het park. Ook de jungle was prachtig ofschoon er wat mij betreft wat meer kleur in de vegetatie had gemogen.
Uiteindelijk vond ik de entreeprijs wat aan de forse kant afgezet tegen hetgeen geboden wordt, waarbij ik alle begrip heb voor de forse investeringen die er gedaan zijn om dit park tot zo ver tot stand te brengen.

This animal park looks nice. It is less like the old zoo. I think the entrance is far too high for what we have seen.

If it is not too busy it is good to do. Too bad you often have to walk a lot.

Was very nice. It was dry but cold. Too bad the food is so expensive. I still think this is something you can work on. Mass is cashier right? It could be a bit less commercial.

Park is nicely set up as a theme park, and therefore more 'dressed' than just an animal park. Diversity of animal species is somewhat limited, but on the other hand, the animals have more space than in many other zoos. Boat trip and safari ride unfortunately add little - too short (especially considering the waiting time of 30-45 minutes) and hardly visible from the walking route.
Unfortunately, there was hardly any supervision in the park for compliance with the corona protocol. Simply placing a number of employees at busy points would help. In addition, far too many people are allowed into the park at the same time. This not only leads to long waiting times, but also makes 1.5 meters virtually impossible. And certainly can be avoided with less visitors.

Beautiful animal park with more space for animals than in comparable parks.

If the Dutch can do one thing, then it's the zoos. Since the Germans can not really keep up. There are 3 major theme worlds and many surprises. You open the door and free-roaming monkeys come to meet you, you open another door, is suddenly in the rain forest and a butterfly lands on itself or a bird eats one from the hand. You go on a safari tour and zebras and giraffes run after you or take a boat trip through the jungle. The child slips down the slide and suddenly stands in front of a giant aquarium in which a polar bear is swimming ... absolutely fascinating! And then you run to the bathroom, because you have to urgently .... tears open the door and there is a monkey sitting on the toilet .... Sensational I can only say! A big movie theater! The price is not cheap but it is also offered a lot. Only the opening times I found a bit unfavorable. We arrived from Germany, had about 2.5 hours arrival time and had to fight off accordingly to really see everything until the closure. Otherwise TOP. Best zoo ever.

Beautiful housing of the animals present in an almost natural environment. Crowds of visitors are the elephants, the butterflies and the savannah with deer, giraffes, rhinos, etc. The lions also belong to the crowd pullers as well as the polar bears, monkeys and humbold penguins. Tigers are not present, as are brown bears. Various walks through the plantings have been made, where the Kids can enjoy themselves. Opportunities have been created to view the animals present up close in a kind of train through the savannah. There is also a boat trip through the forest. Over the bush, rope bridges have also been constructed to view the bush from above. Everything is very worthwhile to experience!

Nice place to spend a day with the family or with friends.

Nicely laid out. No cage seen, really nicely done. We will come back in 10 years when everything is more overgrown. Rollercoaster attraction does not add anything but fun for the kids.

What a beautiful spacious park. There is peace and quietness! Visitors are in an oasis .... as well as all super-groomed animals. Chapeau

First and foremost, this is not a standard zoo. It s like a cross between a theme park and zoo. It might not be for everyone but our kids and my wife and I really liked it. The theming of the areas is excellently executed with a real attention to detail. The animals have spaced and as visitors you really feel like you are amongst the animals. My reservations are there, sure, around polar bears in zoos but that aside a great day out with kids. Will definitely go back if in the area.

They have done their best to make the park corona proof. One way street, 1.5m distance lines and certain areas closed. It's just a pity that many people are totally insane and don't take it into account at all. If you are standing in line with enough distance to your predecessor, people walk right through it. Are you sitting on a bench, people will sit right next to you and they can't see the empty bench 3m further.

Nice zoo +. The animals have spacious enclosures and were well cared for. The roller coaster, sea lion show, playground and boat trip were greatly appreciated by the children. The flow of the park could have been a little more logical. In summary, definitely recommended.

Great zoo with lots of animals and smaller attractions. Nicely set up. Well worth the visit.

Beautiful natural environment without lofts. A true experience.

The park is nicely set up and is more focused on the total experience. More decoration and interaction. Because of this you will see fewer animals than you are used to from 'Oude Emmen'. However, many animals have more space and privacy, which makes it much nicer for the animals. The park is now starting to expand and grow more and they have also learned from the feedback. The prices in the restaurants etc are a bit on the high side, but we are used to that from other parks. The interactive side of the park makes it very fun for kids and they will have fun all day long. As an adult you get bored faster.

Nicely set up zoo, only Nortica should receive more attention. Especially white / gray and few animals. Keep in mind that the queues for the various attractions are quite long. Tip: if you have rented a wheelchair, pick it up first. For someone who walks poorly, it is best to have a distance from the parking garage to the main entrance.

Very nice zoo. Everything is well organized and clear. The animals have very nice accommodations and there are also many animals to see. For example, the prairie dogs that walk all around you. And in Rimbula, where there are many different types of birds with lots of space. The park is also beautifully and appropriately themed. I definitely recommend the park, and will definitely come back!

It was nicely set up, neat, plenty of toilets. The routes were also very nice to walk.
Too bad the polar bears were not visible.
It was fairly quiet so you could see more.
Entrance is pricey for family

Beautifully maintained theme park with many opportunities to get close to the animals. The main attractions per area are a good addition and make it extra special especially for children.
Point of criticism, it is not possible to quickly move from one theme area to another. It is therefore not very easy to see a show or presentation.

Beautiful park admired many animals only it was too busy in the butterfly garden which you only notice when you are inside

Forget that negative bullshit about being a bad zoo. You are no longer such a zoo. I really enjoyed your park and will definitely come back in about 10 years. When you were still a zoo, there were so many animals that you could go at least 3 to 4 times a year because every time there was something crazy with 1 of the inhabitants of the park. There is no longer that urge to go more often.

Beautiful animal park where, in my opinion, animals go for quality rather than quantity.

Beautiful zoo. Many beautiful animals that look good and well-kept. No small teenie cages, but beautiful scooters. Mega elephants stay, very beautiful butterfly garden. Everything equally beautiful. It is good to walk all of them, sometimes a bit of climbing or descending, but even with a wheelchair. Toilets look good, are cleaned regularly.
Spread over the park several places to clean your hands. Whether the one-way route is only now because of the corona, I do not know, but it is not really disturbing.
And a mega large parking lot less than a 5-minute walk away

Fantastic beautiful park! super Fun attractions definitely recommended. Many attractions are present, for example a safari tour a Cruise and finally a 4D theater.

[1-5-'16] weer naar jullie geweest. Ze zaten ergens te genieten,komt er een
medewerkster naar hen toe, vraagt die jongedame of ze mee willen de
schildpadden voeren. Dit is een geweldige dag voor hen geweest. Iedereen
waar ze mee praten krijgt het hele verhaal te horen. Compliment voor dit idee. Trouwens voor het hele park. Vr. groeten van Jan en Gerda De Wit.

We have been to Wildnights on 23-12-2018. What was this super nice. We have a subscription to Wildlands since July of this year. Wildnights, on the other hand, is a completely different experience than that you visit the park during the day. It is very nicely lit, nice stalls, a cool water show but also a super fun illusion show. In short, we are going again next Thursday, it is highly recommended.

New neatly clean and beautifully designed park. Most beautiful park in the Netherlands. Prices in the park are not absurdly high. Nice extra attractions such as roller coaster and 4d experience. Enough parking space (paid). For free parking navigate to the Emmen Centrum Oost parking lot.

Just by coincidence today was the roller coaster closed, safari ride in maintenance, but not really missed. Walked 8 km in the park (back and forth and up and down), but worth it. Sea lion training recommended, just like the simulation atraction. Nicely made all, friendly staff. So weird that it is in Emmen. If you go outside, you can immediately go shopping. Then you immediately landed again, which is a pity. I think it can go in the right direction with the park, if there are more live street presentations and more is used for education in the field of ecology. A climate simulator would be super.

Not comparable with the "old" animal park. That was cozier and more animals. For the animals a beautiful park. A lot of space. If you have difficulty walking, the paths are not fine to walk .. crooked and climbing. (Heavy for wheelchairs) deliberately designed in such a way to let the surroundings rise. There is plenty to do for families with children. If you are a bit older you leave a lot of left. The park is very spacious and has a lot of walking

Very nice zoo. Respond well to these times and the needs of children. Large park, we really had to make an effort to see everything in 1 day. Parking week a bit on the pricey side (10 ), otherwise reasonable.

A small park, very annoying that you have to walk back to the main square every time and see the same animals. Without queues you can walk through it in half a day. Nicely laid out with regard to decoration and definitely worth a visit. The catering and toilet buildings are also well distributed throughout the park.

Most beautiful zoo in the Netherlands! Also very good to see that the animals get a lot of space and have a natural habitat. I like to come here again!
