They charge you but don't really help you with anything. In the end you end up reaching out to lenders and realtors yourself. They just run your credit and give you a list of people to contact. Definitely a waste of time and money. You are better off saving your money and doing the research yourself.

In a world of instant, no cost, communication, getting an actual DHIC employee on the phone is like social alchemy. You nearly have to be a wizard of the black arts to speak with anyone directly. They are like the Great Oz. You can leave multiple messages over weeks and still never get a call back. Its mind blowing. But i guess they assume individuals in their facilities arr low income, and who cares about poor people right? They are good to parade across media for public relations but actual concern stops around the time the red lights on cameras go off.

About DHIC

Home to Opportunity. DHIC, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of high-quality housing communities in the Triangle region of NC.

DHIC, Inc. is a non-profit organization that has been serving the Triangle region of North Carolina for over 40 years. The company's mission is to provide affordable housing opportunities to individuals and families in need, while also promoting community development and economic growth.

At DHIC, they believe that everyone deserves a safe and comfortable place to call home. That's why they work tirelessly to develop high-quality housing communities that are both affordable and sustainable. Their developments range from single-family homes to multi-unit apartment complexes, all designed with the needs of their residents in mind.

One of the things that sets DHIC apart from other housing developers is their commitment to community engagement. They understand that building strong communities requires more than just providing affordable housing; it requires creating spaces where people can come together, build relationships, and support one another.

To achieve this goal, DHIC works closely with local organizations and community leaders to identify the unique needs of each neighborhood they serve. They then design their developments with these needs in mind, incorporating amenities like community gardens, playgrounds, and gathering spaces into their plans.

In addition to providing affordable housing options for low-income families and individuals, DHIC also offers a range of supportive services designed to help residents thrive. These services include financial education classes, job training programs, health screenings, and more.

DHIC's commitment to sustainability is another key aspect of their work. They understand that building environmentally-friendly homes not only benefits the planet but also helps reduce energy costs for residents over time. To this end, they incorporate features like solar panels and energy-efficient appliances into many of their developments.

Overall, DHIC is an organization dedicated not just to building houses but also creating thriving communities where everyone has access to safe and affordable housing options. Their commitment to sustainability and community engagement sets them apart from other developers in the area – making them an excellent choice for anyone looking for high-quality affordable housing in North Carolina's Triangle region.
