Very interesting exhibitions. Original architecture. Nice view of the Rhone and Saone and the city of Lyon.
Very interesting exhibitions. Original architecture. Nice view of the Rhone and Saone and the city of Lyon.
Great jazz concert
Good organisation
The collections are interesting and the scenographies well thought out. Special mention to temporary exhibitions.
The building is worth a visit for its architecture ... offbeat! I believe that everyone will have a decided opinion on this one: either we hate, or we like!
Magnificent museum exploiting the magnificent halls to devote a day
It's nice but it's in no man's land, bad area to walk
View from the top is nice but this is another one of those archi-follies with museum afterthought. Security on par with the Louvre, minus the justification.
Architecture fascinating by its inventiveness, its unexpected passages in the immensity of the spaces of glass and metal, modern and pointed museology to educate itself in an interactive and instructive way, without tiring. Brilliant.
Great museum. Well arranged. Very playful.
Quality catering. Friendly and helpful staff. Well done to the team of this Museum.
From time to time there is an exhibition
Special museum style
Amazing museum, loved all the expos specially the temporary ones, the building and surroundings are very impressive and inspiring as well. Must for visit especially with the children!
An impressive building with an impressive free entry for students. A variety of things to see to suit a variety of interests. I would recommend the stuffed animals, antarctica exhibit, and the penguins.
It's pretty, it's well laid out, well presented, it circulates well and the construction itself is really worth seeing from the inside.
Superb experience. The permanent exhibition is very interesting and very affordable even for young children
Wonderful place. Only downside would be that the guards breathe'zen gentlemen.
Very nice set. Very interesting and attractive museum. Essential. To see.
Superb architecture, the exhibitions are interesting, interactive, modern! Only the entrance to the museum is not very pleasant, the staff who take care of the passageways to the porticoes in particular
Always a pleasure to visit this magnificent museum. Very friendly and available staff
Interesting exhibition according to the subject and some pleasant animations.
Very good exhibitions! Free for students throughout the year for both permanent and temporary exhibitions!
Everyone was talking about this museum gold, I was not convinced. The permanent collections seem a little disjointed and sometimes lack coherence.
clean and pleasant place ... But there is too much empty space.
Immersion in various universes. Very interesting for young and old!
In a modern building, the finest French technology is housed in a quality museum, impressive views and waivers
Exceptional place with varied and interesting exhibitions and a pleasant setting
Wow! Confluence is a great museum with very interesting permanent and temporary exhibitions for adults and youngsters.
Allow 3 hours at least if you want to enjoy everything.
If you have kids it is free for them to attend as it is for all residents of Lyon. That is probanly why it was so noisy and chaotic in all of the exhibitions when we attended in July. If you dont mind kids running amok unrestrained by their parents/carers and you are fluent in oral/written French then you'll get more out of it than I did. For me the best part wss the architecture and the odd quiet moment to take in the view of the confluence of rivers and the city of Lyon.
Spectacular building, temporary exhibitions often very interesting, museum with an educational approach
Magnificent architecture. The interior is very pleasant and the exhibits of quality. It is really a pleasure to spend half a day there
To discover beautiful architecture a lot of space to visit !!!
The breathtaking architecture. Interesting exhibitions I just love it
Nice visit. The sanitary conditions were respected. Few people in this period of covid: which allowed us a more pleasant visit
Interesting museum. The headsets exhibition was really surprising.
Beautiful facilities, very interesting and varied exhibitions.
Exhibition more than interesting, we could stay the day!
The temporary exhibits that are on offer are great and constantly address themes as diverse as they are interesting!
Superb museum! very interesting and modern permanent exhibitions, the Venenum exhibition is really to be seen ... enough to spend a whole day in this airy and modern museum. The little extra: the spectacular sunset from the bay windows of the museum!
The architecture is very original.
The exhibits are superb with very comprehensive explanations and magnificent scenery.
Very good museum, once inside we travel through the world and through eras.
Very futuristic structure and very particular position on the confluence of the rivers.
Great museum, interesting temporary exposition, amazing building
Parallel worlds in total immersion: we totally forget that we are in Lyon!
Museum with special architecture, including the collections of the old natural history museum. The exhibitions are well done and interesting to follow, also for children thanks to a certain playful side.
The structure also gives a nice view of the neighborhood and the confluence of the two water courts.
The work of development around the museum has been rather well done, the building is surrounded by a small park / garden very nice and ponds directly below the structure.
The tram allows access from Perrache but the problem of the entire district of Confluence remains the same.
Guided tour very rewarding and to better understand this place!
Bilingual descriptions on everything, so very educational! The museum seems to be a collection of whatever artifacts the museum curators could get their hands on, so there isn't an overarching theme and the pieces in some of the rooms don't closely relate. For example you have Japanese armour next to aboriginal clothing, and a few yards down you have old cars, sewing machines, and African jewelry. However I LOVED the natural history rooms describing the origins of life and how life on Earth has progressed. They have cute videos that were entertaining, and thankfully lots of places to sit. You can get here by tram easily.
Beautiful museum. Antartica is really worth visiting. The panoramic view of the terrace is worth it.
It's good the way the exhibits ate brought together to form a theme
Great place!
I encourage you to take a tour.
Superb museum with a very nice exhibition scenography.
Do without hesitation.
Beautiful site and very beautiful things on display. To have.
Amazing visit. Awesome staging. To visit with young and old with round eyes. Extra architecture
The modern form of presentation spoils the didactic quality of this museum that would support the rich heritage exhibited so well.
Perfect for all ages. Very interactive museum for the little ones.
The museum of Confluences is at the tip of the peninsula so between Saone and Rhone, along the Southern Highway and along an east-west axis between Gerland and Oulins so with a bridge over the Rhone to right and a More
It was closed on a Monday ... Many things closed on Mondays but a museum I find it average, especially for a tourist town ...
Futuristic architecture. interesting and varied exhibitions very well presented. ..To visit...
Great contemporary museum with a varied cultural offer at the confluence of two rivers.
The fundamental failure of this museum is that it does not educate - the permanent exhibitions present a random collection of items without logical flow. There is no story telling or learning. At best, it's simply a collection of curiosities. The architecture also disappoints - the sweeping panorama of the river confluence should be centre stage, but is visible only from a stairwell and a small roof terrace. It's such a pity that this museum is so poorly executed.
