It has become in a few years a must in Lyon. And it's true he is! Rich by its unusual architecture and the quality of its exhibitions.
Do not hesitate to go to the shop, full of beautiful memories.
Prefer to come by public transport (T1 tram that stops right in front), car parking is quite far.

Since the time that I waited for this visit !! , finally disappointed the exhibition rooms are chronologically disorganized, difficult for children apart from examples to navigate, the objects are poorly exposed, I have better memories of the old museum overloaded dusty but much more coherent, the only one strong point are the temporary exhibitions which are much better organized.
On the top floor a brewery suffocating view of not much !! if you are thirsty or hungry, don't forget to fill your wallet well before leaving !!!

4 rooms for the permanent exhibitions .... Beautiful rooms I can not deny it but I could not take away from the spirit all along the visit that this museum to the excessive cost included only 4 rooms.
This museum is well done and the children (15 years old and 4 years old) have found it interesting.
It remains only this museum is too small and I do not see the interest of the annual pass, except maybe for the 4 temporary exhibition halls.

A good museum in general quite large and clean with a special atmosphere and some exceptional pieces. However to visit with a specialist because few explanations are given damage when have not known about it ..

Very nice museum, great program. Think of the annual pass, free for those under 25, profitable for the elderly! It also skips the line! Do not miss the shop, very well stocked, especially in books. Take a walk to the end of the confluence, or take the time to sit by the water at night. It's magic.

Breathtaking museum with its offbeat architecture.
Several temporary and permanent exhibitions.
A brasserie and a restaurant plus a bookshop complete the visit.
I recommend the visit when there is hot weather, it is cool.

A building absolutely not in adequacy with the collection which it contains.

A colossal amount of useless or lost surface. Gabegie!

A cold place without life and without soul.
This architecture will never have and if ever the maintenance budget decreases, it will quickly be a slum.

I regret so much the Museum of natural history Guimet which although cramped and aging had a touching charm and magic.

Fortunately the scenography is very neat.
Friendly staff (security of access is disproportionate and zany)

You are passing on lyon this museum is absolutely necessary.
Not easy to park, prefer public transport.
Keep your ticket for the whole visit, you will most certainly be asked.
Splendid panoramic view on the last floor.

Geat museum!

Geat museum!
The design of this building is really impressive, at the junction of two rivers.
The exhibitions are good as well. The permanent one is very instructive about evolution/anthropology/cultures etc... Plan many hours to visit the whole museum.

Very rich permanent collection! And superb temporary curations! The building itself is so fascinating and at the confluence of the 2 rivers. A must visit in Lyon. Take time and go the whole day. That have a beautiful terrace, workshops for kids etc etc as well. The communication and information design here is informative, and even sometimes interactive! Very beautiful.

An architectural masterpiece. An excellent museum to come and see or revisit permanent or temporary exhibitions. The bay windows make every visit very pleasant and each floor makes you want to spend hours there. Security is also very competent. An unmissable place in Lyon.

A symbolic place for the renewal of Lyon: the museum of natural history is impressive! The whole structure, yet almost too futuristic is a challenge of modern architecture! Just like the Gugenheim Museum in Bilbao, a must in our beautiful city!

The visit to the permanent exhibitions is well designed and very interesting. A downside for the app that works moderately. It is difficult to locate points of interest on the map. The temporary exhibition on Plonk and Replonk is fun, the one on the headdresses very beautiful although it is not one of my interests.

Mediocre pastries at the shop, but hey, you don't go there for the pastries...

The museum has a splendid view and architecture. Although this building has been a huge waste of taxpayer money (excess costs and multiple delays), I must admit that the final result is nice.

Temporary and permanent collections are worth of interest and the staff is welcoming.

Accessible by the public transportation system, this museum is a nice place to see in Lyon

A museum very interesting and offers temporary exhibitions of good quality, sometimes a little incomprehensible development but overall, the place and the setting allow you to spend a great time at a reasonable price! In addition the permanent exhibition is accessible to children which is not negligible!

I will never forget the natural history displays snd the French talent for Display !
The taxidermy was pure theatre.
I loved every minute of this place. It's an
experience all in the dark with the animals positioned as characters in a play.Go See ..

Very nice museum. The 2nd floor is really very well done with animated screens for children. Very beautiful specimens of dinosaurs and a beautiful mammoth. The 1st floor is reserved for temporary exhibitions.
