Absolutely poor Costumer Sevice been on the phone over 45 minutes without speaking to a adviser . So went down thire to sort out my enquiry and there's no parking . What a rubbish council so quick to give people a penalty charges but you have to way to get in touch to explain your side .

Just try to change address, website not working correctly but from where can you know? Not possible to do it by Phone.
Horrendous treatment of people with disabilities. Requesting same form fill in 6 times denying receipt of 'recorded deliveries , personal hand ins ,post and faxing not forgetting online .A corrupt system set up to punish the public for being in need of support .
The system set up to find money from any means possible for the councils private projects . you can't win with liers. The housing obudsman let the council have free reign. No support at all .
This is some of the reasons why people take their own life .

Till the people of derby get a better deal .tried to report fly tipping and got told to do it on line how far away do u think the flly tippers will be by then. council only intrested in getting in our pockets .and appreering on telly as the good guys .
Shocking vertiually non-existent customer service. Automatic answer phone sends you to their website or email which are equally as shocking. Takes about 3 months to reply. Very quick to respond when it means they get more council tax of course! Utter disgrace.

I think I would have more luck getting in touch with the queen, than the person I want to speak to at derby city council!!! Useless...
Its a shame the library has gone into the council house and is voluntary run.
Anybody reading this travel get on the red arrow travel into Nottingham we have a 4 floor library with 50 computers run by a local authority that cares
I popped into the Jobcentre in this building and I was quite underwhelmed. The person who saw me for my appointment was miserable and expressionless. They were also very dismissive, the customer service was definately lacking. They were also not an active listener and not as competent as I would have liked.
I sent a email over 3 weeks ago about my council tax. Informing them I'd moved. I recived an conformation email but nothing since. It's been 3 weeks to reply to a email totally rubbish service so I phoned and guess what. You have to do it online. You couldn't make it up
Who do we have in charge of derby fools you can not get in or out of the city parking meters on industrial estates never seen anywere else with meters on industrial estates million pound road works being done bye odd job men and planners and the council should all be made to resign people are trying to get to work have road closures at night
The council desperately needs an email address available to the public to email important documents as the post is expensive for those who cannot afford to eat never mind afford to post evidence!
I should like not to give any ratings as i have not received any service however, I have to give one star to file this feedback. I put my bin out LAST NIGHT as my collection can be as early as 6am. When I checked in the morning my neighbours had put out their bins one of which was next to mine. So later in the day when I noticed my neighbour had taken their empty bin back in I thought I would do the same.... only it was still full? NO NOTICE or reason given. I could not speak to a person at DDC and was FORCED to register an online account to then register my bin as a 'missed collection'. I was given a reference number which was later to be of no use whatsoever! Later in the day I had an email from DDC to confirm my bin had now been emptied..... SURPRISE!!! no it hasn't?? I log back on to my DDC account to find that the case is closed? MY BIN IS STILL ON THE KERBSIDE AND STILL FULL!! I cannot get to speak to anybody.... What a shower! Very poor customer service indeed! As I have no option I shall now try and raise another 'missed bin' report in the hope that I will get it emptied!

Contacted switchboard with a problem with Gold card - Ruth who dealt with this was excellent - friendly, professional and efficient.
I can only agree with the general consensus of other reviews. Poor customer service that fails to reflect the councils role of being a public servant. to be honest it is what I expect from public services who have no real need to be customer focussed.
20 minutes on the phone waiting for an answer must be asleep on the job lol
Online system is very difficult to use and it's nearly impossible to get through to anyone on the phone. Very poor service so far.
Virtually impossible to speak to a real person about anything. Constantly being pushed towards the website which is extremely frustrating as my problem could not be solved online.

Hi, today I have spent 1 hour trying to speak to a human being to ask about which dept I need to contact within the council! It s disgusting to think that the elderly/disabled must be encountering these issues too!
I finally found the dept & contact number while searching through their site but no one answered my call.
I wanted to enquire as to whether as a home owner, I have the authority to trim the trees in our garden? I m the home owner paying council tax rates/bills and yet I am not able to trim the trees in the garden.
Can't sell a house in Derby due to the council delays in land searches. Charging us over a hundred pounds a month in council tax for their delay. There is no one else in the country you can use for this service.
I'm talking specifically about the Job Centre and their staff as I know the Council House provides a variety of services.
In regards to the Job Centre, absolutely dreadful service. Patronising, aggressive staff. The security eyeing you up and down makes you feel as though you've stepped into a police state. When going to sign on I was, essentially, forgotten about which caused me to be 50 minutes late to my appointment and yet still it was somehow my fault.
Genuinely would avoid it if you can.

Very difficult to deal with, their online forms are easy to complete but then you don't hear anything for months, try call and they tell you to go back to the website. Just try to avoid where possible, all I want to do is try pay council tax and I can't.
Thankfully I've never had a bad experience dealing with anyone there till I left Derby.
Terrible service, poor financial management, and continues to make questionable decisions on local policies. With a beautiful building that cost teachers wages and put the council is debt.
Disgusting social care isaac ndlovu is a dictator who fails in his job and all procedures and then has a go for pointing it out, and the manager is useless and does not return calls about complaints.
