We really enjoyed our visit to Mount Rainier Natio...

We really enjoyed our visit to Mount Rainier National Park. We were a little disappointed the visitor center at Paradise was closed due to Covid-19, but we understood why. The park was fairly crowded and it took about 30 minutes to get thru the Nisqually park gate when we arrived at 11:00 AM. The views were gorgeous with clear sunny weather and the snow was still melting everywhere. The main hiking paths leaving from Paradise were only clear of snow for about 1/3 of a mile and then it was hiking thru the snow. Best to arrive prepared to hike in snow. The snow also made the sunlight more intense so be careful about protecting your skin. If you find this review helpful, give it a like.

I must be obsessed with Mt. Rainier, because I've been here 3 times in the month of July. It's absolutely incredible everytime I have visited (near Paradise at the base of the mountain). So much scenery to absorb that one entire day is not even nearly enough to see it all. The visitor center at Paradise is definitely worth a stop, as there's a lot of well made, educational presentations set up for anyone to look at in the place. Otherwise, take your time exploring and absorb all the scenery you can - it's unlike anything else.

This national park is very amazing. I want to go there after learning so much about it. The glaciers, mountains, and volcano seem so wonderful. Plus, the park rangers take care of this park. So, this place seems like a dream come true. My heart just feels at home just looking at it. I really, really, really, really, really want to go there. The glacier water there seems fit for drinking. So, if you've gone there please write about it!

Mt Rainier national park has many diverse, beautiful views wherever you go in the park. I've hiked in the southern, northwestern, and eastern sections of the park. The hikes in each section feature many trees and a shot at viewing Rainier's peak.

Love the views, the trails are not too hard, and the drive up is amazing. Only down side is the lines. Lots of people visit the park. So be patient or bring what you need with you. No cell service on the mountain but there is WiFi around the inn.

Just taking a day to relax and we went to Mount Rainier National Park. It was a beautiful day and so many animals. There was a bear warning at the picnic area and we actually saw a bear and it was great that there was a ranger already on site and taking care of it. He sprayed some bear pepper spray and even being far away we got a taste of that and it was powerful. But we feel like that just added to the experience! then we a couple of animals that look like beavers but I don't think they were playing on the side of the street. Anyway it was a great day

Took an overnight trip to Mt. Rainier National Park during my trip to Seattle and it was a highlight of the trip. This park is HUGE. Plenty of hiking for all skill levels. We were only able to do a small portion of a small section of the park, and still saw glaciers, wildlife, wildflower blooms, and waterfalls.

One of the most beautiful national parks you can see. The ride up to Henry M Jackson VC is stunning. It has majestic views, deep pine forests filled with hiking trails, waterfalls and the ultimate, Mt Rainier. We went on a blue sky day and in May which is ahead of the summer season so the crowds were light. Remember to get a passport stamp on the top of you are a NP enthusiast!!

One of my favorite places to be. I didn't give it 5 stars only because crowds and the litter they leave, plus the construction can make it hard to enjoy sometimes. Go during the week if you can. It's worth it.

Lets just say you shouldnt go off the trail by far. We decided to take a short cut and go cross country to skip the distance of the winding road. We ended up knee deep in snow and brush. By the time we got out we were soaked and had crossed many streams. The experience was amazing though! Totally worth getting lost on the mountain.

P.S. We ate a well deserved downtown meal after getting off the mountain.

Mount Rainier one of those places either love it or don't. It was not snowing in Washington but at Mount Rainier the weather is fickle... Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket it got real cold and was snowing when I got there. Love the snow, hiking, and hearing my words echo back. Felt peaceful in my surroundings.

It was really beautiful. The waterfalls everywhere were amazing. Do not wear yellow up there it attracts tiny little bugs. There were hundreds of them on my shirt and hundreds on the yellow plastic cups we brought to drink from. The trash was terribly over full. Not enough help to keep it clean is my guess.

Most spectacular National Park. Hike from White River Campground to Glacier Basin is great for views of Glaciers. Management has closed one half the camp sites because of Hazzard Trees. This is wrong, those trees could easily be removed. The Sunrise area is great as is the hike to Lost Lake.

First week of October and winter has begun at mt. Rainier. It's beautiful! Bring walking shoes and plenty of water. Check the weather before traveling and bring something like cash or debit card to pay your $30 entrance fee, unless you're military than it's free.

Such a great park every time I visit. Did the Lake Elinor trail to Grand Park and it was a lovely hike. Bring your bug spray and sunscreen, pack a picnic lunch, hike in about 4 miles, and the park will show it's tremendous beauty. Birds chirp the whole way through, and this most recent visit included a black bear! Just be bear aware, respect them, and bears are pretty cool to see in the wild.

Every minute up in the mountain was amazing, fun and exciting.
Things that will need you while driving, hiking, ice sketching, walking towards rainier.

1. Don t forget pack at least 2 liter of Water, Snacks and your favorite dry food in a comfortable backpack. You will not not enjoy the hike while hungry and thirsty.
2. Discovery Pass will save your time and money: otherwise you will be sitting in traffic to buy one at the entrance of Mount rainier road.
3. Morning time is the best, you will get easy parking and no traffics.
4. Stay late evening after everyone left and less crowd but not too late, if you want to see deers and other cute animals.
5. If you want to go to the closest point of mount rainier, use Paradise instead of MT Rainier.
6. There are camping grounds and stay as well as hotel, but always booked, if you want to stay at hotel and camp, please be couple step ahead and do in advance.

Mount rainier is more beautiful then it looks like from Seattle area, it s more exciting when you explore everything on foot. There are a lot of cute animals, flowers and nice tracks all over the National forest. We did camping, hiking and ice skating, it was amazing, it was fun and every minute we spend up there was worthy.

Beautiful sights - definitely worth the drive. We stuck around because it seemed as if the clouds were moving and it paid off. We were able to take some nice pics. On a cloudy day it is still a pretty drive though. However, I was glad we were able to see the mountain.
The visitor center has a little shop, some educational exhibits and a cafeteria. I would go again to hike. But I would recommend seeing it at least once when in the area!

Did some hiking at Mt Rainier this weekend and was blown away by how many people were feeding animals by hand! Parents letting kids give marmots bread, teens instagraming themselves feeding chipmunks Trader Joe's almonds. There is not a single sign on the skyline trail saying don't feed animals. Well, people are definitely feeding the animals. Rangers please help preserve this place and make a couple of signs telling visitors why feeding animals is actually hurting the environment. Note:There is good work being done here by rangers and staff but I want to draw attention to this issue.

Beautiful park and excellent mountain for a fun mountaineering experience! The weather when we went was excellent. You could see Mt Baker, Glacier Peak and all the mountains in the Olympic Peninsula. The rangers were top notch and the visitor center had a nice grab and go restaurant.
