My experience wasn't a negative experience until I had the displeasure of speaking with a particular servicing manager with a rude and acerbic attitude. Someone should provide certain GDCA staff with mandatory customer service training.

Please beware of fees!!!!!!!!! Many mortgage companies do not have the fees that this government program that is suppose to help 1st time homeowners have. For instance, insurance claims. Most mortgage companies does not make you pay for a fee for an inspector as well as an affidavit to ensure that you have completed the work. They treat people who are trying to do right, like criminals. The criminals don't care and find a way around the paperwork. All of the fees, time off of work for unnecessary things to ensure the roof is completed and there is no fraud. Who are they? Did they help with the down payment? No. Did they help with upgrades to your home? No. Do they even help you with insurance premiums? No. But we as the consumers are expected to pay fees for rules that this mortgage company has imposed, by force. The other option is taking it to the end of your loan, which adds interest to the loan. This is LUDACRIS! How does the government get away with this type of stealing from the Americans? They take your money without approval and tell you, this is policy. In my book, this is stealing. No need to complain, JUST BEWARE!!!!!!! Only use them if necessary. Find another mortgage company without the fees. I am on my search to get out of this government loan.

The rental program here is set up to discourage landlords from renting to DCA voucher holders. Absolutely no communication. Would not return calls or emails. Gotta drive to their main office or fax to submit RTA when everyone else in the world are going paperless. Very broken system in place. Inspector will make comments about minor non-issue things. I'm not hiring an electrician to change out all the receptacles in the house with paint marks on them. I question if most of the funding is being used to pay employees and directors instead of being used to help the needy within the program.

I cannot get into it with my houseing specialist no matter how many times a callher email her she will not return my calls or my email I have tried to go back to my old housing specialist and she tell me to keep calling and leave a message but how can you leave a message to your housingand specialist when she don t even have a voicemail hook up it just ring ring ring and don t pick up I need to know what do I need to do because at this point I m getting ready to get put out of my apartment because she haven t even paid they haven t even paid the rent yet

Never answer phone or email. All case manager and worker emails are full. Your treated horribly. Who ever runs this program really needs to give staff customer service training or they need to be replaced. Poor service

I thought being transferred to DCA from Fulton County I will get better service, and be in a different area.I was absolutely wrong ,I had a very dark and miserable experience with DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS ...Let s began with with moving into my unit on July 1st ,and mind you I contact the caseworker who I thought was assigned to my case .Then I found out it was Ryan Smith ,and I have emailed ,called and drive All the way to office to speak with this gentleman .I didn t get any responses ,until I sent a email the other day ,that explained her LONGER WORKS FOR DCA WOW..Now I call ,because at this point they haven t paid my rent ,and I have been residing in this unit for 2months.I have 2 beautiful children and I would hate to have to move ,because there is a lack of communication .They NEVER EVER ANSWER THE PHONES OR EMAILS...I should ve stayed in FULTON COUNTY ...I AM VERY FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED..

I am a landlord and cannot reach anyone by email or calls and I've been diligently calling everyday for the past 30 days. Voicemails are full and cannot leave messages or it goes straight to voicemail. I need a contact number for a regional director or someone with higher authority at this point.

I am the Landlord and are very frustrating with DC...

I am the Landlord and are very frustrating with DCA of Norcross. I have properties in Dekalb County and I rarely have to visit Dekalb Housing, everything is electronically capable. As for DCA of Norcross, it's 21st century yet you have to drive all the way to the office to have the problem fixed. Most of the time it won't get fixed even you visited the office. Most of the stuffs there are very incompetant. This is the future of the Government. If I had a choice, I would give 1/2 of a star. Terrible!!!!!!!!!
