Denton Community Theatre, Inc. Review

Tonight I saw a wes tern version of Romeo and Juliet. Sorry to say it was a disappointment. The sound was awful..you could barely hear what they were saying.

Ragtime was a great musical, very strong voices in the cast and ensemble

their calendar, they have good musicals. using Denton talent!

DCT is merging with its sister company, Music Theatre of Denton to form Theatre Denton.

Group of Volunteers made this possible. Congratulations on 50th Anniversary. So proud to see talent live.

This is the Great place. They've taken an old movie house and turned it into a live theater production space they do musicals and regular straight plays

A small/medium theater with a very cozy feeling near UNT. And very kind staff. :)

Saw Hunchback of Notre Dame here and had a fantastic time! The sound, the lights, the stage, the music, the performers and the performance were all top notch.

The theater is quaint and has that perfect Denton charm. I was impressed how well the town supports its arts. I know that's at the heart of UNT's home, but to see it in person is inspiring.

Wonderful community organization which does very professional productions. Thank you to all the volunteers for providing affordable, and enjoyable, entertainment.

This is a fine theater. There is an incredible amount talent in the Denton community.

I love that its local performances that I can take my kid to and have fun. I do wish they could update the seating though! You have to sit close to the stage if you want a good view. Otherwise expect to see much of the back of another person's head during the play. Or in my case, becoming a booster chair for your child who cannot see anything at all.

I really wanted to bring my 2 year old to go see the lion king Jr play this evening. I called to find out more info, but was lead to disappointment when I found out that it is still $8 for my son to go. He might not even sit through the whole thing. I just feel like that was a little ridiculous. I can understand if your child is 3 or 4, but most places let your 2 year old eat or get into places for free. I have always wanted to go...but this kind of sets the tone.

Cute little theatre, was pretty small and hard to see but other wise good!

I just had my first experience here (for the performance of The Hunchback of Note Dame) and loved every moment of it! Looking forward to seeing future shows!

So much talent and opportunities for young, old, and everything in between to get involved.

I have been to numerous performances at DCT, and never been disappointed.

I love Denton, has a lot of entertaining places and this theatre it's an old fashioned but great place to go

Enjoyed an evening with my wife and kids watching little shop of horrors. Amazing cast and stage crew. Would definitely recommend this production and DCT.

Enjoyed a lovely show at the DTC in the heart of downtown Denton. The production quality was great, the leads were phenomenal, and the setting intimate. There is not a bad seat in the house and the unique historic setting is quite nostalgic. After the show, it s a few short steps to the square for a delicious meal and/or beverage to cap off a great time out!

Fantastic little theater, amazing talent, & great area! Very impressed & had a wonderful night out! Great job to everyone!

Been here twice. Both times the local cast was terrific

Review is for 'Sordid Lives'
Price of admission is advertised as $11/8. My wife and I were charged $22 each. Asked the young man why his reply "that was a special" price. Did not care for the production, although several interesting subtle points were conveyed the use of profanity and over sexual themes diluted any artistic message. Don't waste your time.

The play was Great & I enjoyed it so much. My Grandson Anthony did a Great job with his performance.

Amazing production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Great venue, staff, cast, and evening! Will definitely recommend!
