The Delta King is a very nice place; especially at sundown for the sunset and the lights of the Tower Bridge. I used to go to Christmas work parties when it was still running with the paddle wheel.. Now, it sits stationary and has a hotel for overnight guests. Nice bar, nice dining area. We went during Christmas time, and Old Sacramento was lit up and packed with people, enjoying the night. I'd recommend it to visitors and locals, alike.
Thin walls: could hear neighbors all night. Toilet issues: any time someone flushes, every toilet on the same floor flushes itself, all night long. Bath does not plug properly and water drains whilst trying to take a bath. 2 towels for a 2 bed room? 3 of us, had to share. Very uncomfortable beds. Asked for a couple more pillows and advised that there wasn't any to give us. Charged us for parking (per day!), but forgot to mention that extra fee when room was booked and estimate given. I will never stay here again. All the noises and flushing toilets kept me up all night.
Came here for the bar with my coworkers. Was pretty quiet mid day (as expected) but the bartender was very friendly.
It was cool to stay on an old boat. Rooms and whole spot a little dated, but still cool.
It was a cute venue, but the toilet was loud, the doors were very short, and the German lady did not offer me coffee

Unique little experience. The boat is in great condition, and well maintained. The restaurant is beautiful. We had breakfast here twice with our stay, and it was very. Good coffee too! Obviously, great location. Excellent, professional and friendly staff. Rooms are small, but clean and comfy. Valet parking is probably your best option here.

Mystery dinner good fun very entertaining. It was more about the show than the food but the food was so good. They have two choices steak or chicken. Or at least that was my experience

Front desk personnel lack customer service, rooms were not cleaned daily. Came back to hotel room after a long day to find our room as written left it in morning. Keys did not work had to go to front desk, new set of keys were issued. However, clerk just threw it on the counter as he was being bothered. When asked why the room was not cleaned he stated " If you let the do not disturb sign they won't clean the room" I stated that I did not leave the sign on, he stated " I don't know why they did not clean your room, what is it that you need" needles to say, I won't stay here ever again!
I was there for a wedding, it was quite warm inside. The steak was OK, the salmon was great!

Our group had celebrated a birthday at the restaurant, Pilothouse, and the view and ambiance was great. Food was up to par but nothing special

Always a great time at the Delta King. Sea Bass was perfect, staff were great as always. I gave one star down just because the salad had been bathed in salt, almost inedible. Still a great place to go though, and we will be back.
Nice hotel with very frienfly, considerate staff. The hotel itself is older and not one of the walls or windows is square. Had fun watching the bridges move to accommodate river traffic. Fun place to spend a weekend!
State rooms are roomy and very comfortable. Front desk and Staff are welcoming , very friendly and helpful. Nice views and terrific breakfast served. Feels like you have stepped back time, a great getaway , even for one night! I loved everything about this historic gem except for the bar and grill lounge aboard.
We had a very nice stay at the Delta King Hotel. The room was very cool and unique. The view of the river and bridges was beautiful. The complimentary breakfast was much better than the usual food served for free at hotels. The service was also great. The view was more of the same and we enjoyed it.
The Delta King is an antique river boat that was around during War World 2 . Historic and elegant you can see all threw out the boat but its best quality is its food . The food is amazing the History is even richer .. Delta King is great take your loved one your special someone too a romantic getaway on the river Pilot House Grill and Bar and TRY THE ( Mediterranean Burger)!
Came here to get some drinks. We were able to sit outside and have our drinks with river view. Drinks are average, but view is nice.
Food was pretty good. Wait staff was friendly. The view is incredible. Right on the river (duh, cause boat), and very close to tower bridge.
We had a blast. Historic, but not very comfortable. It was right down close to old Town district. A fun adventure... checked off our bucket list ;-)

I have lived in Sacramento my whole life, and I'm pretty embarrassed to say that I've never visited the delta King before. I was pleasantly surprised, regardless of the fact that I do get sea sick. I know the boat doesn't actually move, but even boarding a boat can make me a bit woozy sometimes. The bar there is very quaint and cozy. It's a bit of a trek to go down the ramp and down the deck then up the stairs, but once you make it, it's quite comfortable and has a very nice view and atmosphere. The bartender there was very accommodating. We met our friend there briefly for a little while, had a couple drinks and went about our evening elsewhere, but I wouldn't have minded spending some extra time there, and I will most likely return to enjoy some more drinks.

We sat on the deck over looking the river. It was a a great day and all except for the awful music that played at a small music festival across the river, it was really nice. I had a burger that was pretty good and average price. I was disappointed there was no beer on tap. the best part about the Delta is the ambiance, eating on a boat is pretty cool.
The food and drinks at the delta king were absolutely amazing . Very well made, and it shine a bright light on Sacramentos excellent nightlife. The delta king is positioned right on the river which makes it completely amazing for that nightcap after a great dinner or evening strol.
Love the bar and deck upstairs. The banquet room however was uncomfortable. Tables were super wobbly and you couldn't move or cross your legs under them. It was super hot while freezing outside so they had AC blasting, resulting in very cold spots surrounded by really hot areas. Just not comfortable.
I went to Delta King for the first time. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I had never had a veggie burger and it was sooooo good!
We have stayed at The Delta King several times. We go just for fun. It is quaint, but that is exactly what should be expected on a vintage river boat. The rooms were clean and we had everything we needed.
Both restaurants are outstanding. Their hamburger is incredible and the drinks are generous.
The best thing about The Delta King is the staff. They truly are five star staff without exception. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and try to accommodate any requests. We will be staying there again soon.
I would recommend staying on the 4th of July or whatever date Sacramento has their fireworks. It is fun to sit overlooking the river and enjoying the festivities.
I loved staying in old Sacramento and this hotel is a charming reminder of how travel used to be. It's old which means the doorways are small and the rooms can be at a slant. But it's very romantic and nostalgic. I've come there 3 times in 4 years and enjoyed every stay. The staff were always helpful and I'm looking forward to the next time I get to come and stay.
The historical riverboat is a gem in Sacramento. Certainly worth a visit & stay. We enjoyed our time here.
Had a lovely evening on the patio of the bar and grill, sipping good wine and watching the super moon on a Sunday evening. Bartender was very nice and friendly. All the staff were really nice and friendly.

This sister-ship to the celebrated Delta Queen, made famous by Mark Twain, has a rich and storied past, from the Gold Rush, to ignominious neglect, to resurrected glory. You haven't done Sacramento, until you've done the Delta King.
Unique experience on the beautiful sac river. Really enjoyed ourselves and will be back.
Went to tour for a wedding venue and Katy is so sweet and genuine and incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.
While the rooms are old and small, this was a great experience and I'm so glad I spent two nights here. Location is perfect!

What a nice surprise! We visited on July 4th and everything about our visit was excellent. The atmosphere is wonderful and historic, the food was delicious and although it was very crowded we had the most terrific, attentive waiter, who anticipated our every want.
Such wonderful staff (can't remember our waitress' name but she was from Guatamala) and such a beautiful environment all around. The entire place exudes rich history and elegance. From singles to large families I would highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed!

My fiance and I visited to check it out for a possible wedding venue. It is old and it has charm. In some areas the age really shows through.
Our service was great and the restaurant was very cute. We overlooked the water with a window seat. They provided us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Their spagettini is the best dish I've ever had.

If you like REALLY salty food, then you'll probably like it. Arugala salad? Salted from the kitchen, LOTS of salt, so much it had me coughing. They didn't bother telling us that the mule cups were all stolen so served a sugar packed Mule in the wrong glass. All in all, Danielle, the server, was amazing, but everything else was worthless.

I stayed here for my 5 year anniversary, and I had the best time. The bartender was super nice and made our drinks just right. The room was perfect overlooking the river with the lit bridge in the background. And the complimentary breakfast ended the trip perfectly. The waitresses were all nice and made the experience authentic. I would definitely go back
